WWE hiring older guys now?

6168 Views 51 Replies 39 Participants Last post by  Poueff
All the people over the last year who bagged TNA for hiring old guys now have to put up with them in WWE.
Serously though Nash and Sting are over 50 and Booker T is not far off.
Does WWE need to hire legends now to keep the ratings up?
Their share price keeps dropping and looks like they are hiring anyone now days.
It is sad they are going down the TNA road and trying to rely on old guys to keep people interested.
Since Nash left TNA their ratings have gone up and he went to WWE and their shares continue to either drop or stay stagnant.
Nash get with the program and retire...

They signed Nash to a legends contract and put Booker on commentary,
How does this signify a big shift in what they're doing? They've always given stars legends contracts.

How does Del Rio winning the Royal Rumble and The Miz being The World Champ signify the WWE is "relying" on old guys for ratings?

You sir. Make no logic

TNA pushes old guys over the new guys instead of building talent.

WWE puts old guys in acceptable roles to help put over talent. (Other than the whole Lawler/Miz thing)

2011 Booker T in WWE: Commentator

2011 Booker T in TNA: Defeats AJ Styles , Samoa Joe in a 2-1 handicap , belt on a pole, on top of another pole where you have to ride a unicycle up a 30 foot wire to get the belt while fighting off Jeff Hardy whos throwing rocks at you because he thinks your a pterodactyl coming to eat him because he's tripping balls match...................
For the TNA Purple Heavyweight Championship.

Wait, Booker T is a commentator? Since when?

Please take your TNA fan level of stupidity elsewhere. How about the TNA Section?

Ok I would like to clarify why Jerry Lawler is in the main event at EC.

The stipulation was, and I quote "The remaining six participants will be in the Elimination Chamber match". With that in mind would it have been better for Cena or Orton to win and have Lawler in the EC match? I didn't think so either. The EC is gonna be a star stud match....minus R-Truth who I hope isn't gonna be in it. Lawler vs Miz is just a throw away match...again. If anything I question why the heck does WWE have a PPV like this, so close to Mania.

As for Kevin Nash. It appears to have been a one time deal. He didn't even eliminate anyone in the rumble. If it were TNA, Nash would have eliminated 10 guys in the first 3 minutes.

You're acting as if Nash and Booker T are gonna just waltz right in and win the world title.

Also, Like I've said take your bullshit elsewhere.

"Remember who got the biggest pops on the night ..not miz or del rio. "

This is what you're using to support your argument?

NO SHIT EINSTEIN A LEGEND OUTPOPS A ROOKIE.

Please for the love of God, BEG the mods to close this thread to save yourself from further embarrassment.

there only old if tna signs them now sense wwe sign them there kewl now
There is a major difference between what TNA did and what WWE will do with them.

Booker and Nash were mainstays in the main event scene in TNA. Booker is coming into WWE as an announcer, and Nash has a Legends contract ... not some mega-deal catapulting him straight into the WHC or WWE Title scene. The guys are the same but the roles are completely different.

The older guys are coming in to help the younger guys.

Telling them things that worked for them 10+ years ago and things that didn't work. Looking at the direction WWEs going, combine hollywood writers with wrestlers who have seen the best of wrestling from either wcw or wwf and we could have a great company in 3-4 years.

The WWE brought in Booker and Nash and maybe Sting to hype up WM since there lacking Huge names. The youth movement guys still need to establish themselves and should be able to by next WM (if not the wwe is doomed) Its stupid to think that just because the WWE hired a couple vetrans there turning down the youth movement, its just to gain some extra fans for the even and to also pay these guys some respect as there careers wind down.

The King in the title match @ EC was made as a filler, to gurantee that there is a completely new matchup at WM.
