MVP NEEDS TO BE WORLD CHAMPION.

He is over. He has great charisma. He is black (and WWE need a black World champ). He has the look. He has the size. He has the 'rags to riches' story after being in jail and turning his life around. He's friends with various celebrities like Floyd Mayweather. He has a fantastic ring-name. Like Cena and Rock's similar moves he has the 'Ballin' elbow drop move.

In short, hes the most markerable guy (heel or face) that the WWE has yet they continually screw him over. He was over at SS (his home town yes) but is consistently getting good babyface pops.

He should be champion by now and still can be in the future.

He could be world champ. Nothing wrong with that. He was well in his way too, until something or other happened and he lost all momentum. The biggest thing going against him is his age. He's good, but the WWE is going in a young direction. How many years does he have left?

But him being black is definitely not a reason. You give a title for talent, hard work, and mega overness, never for race or ethnicity.

I don't see why they won't pull the trigger on an MVP push soon, he was even more over than usual at Survivor Series due to a home advantage, but such a shame he was the first to be eliminated. That was just an example of what sort of deal he has gotten. Maybe, just maybe the King of the Ring will be something he could benefit from, but I can't see why the WWE wouldn't capitalize on his massive popularity.

Arguably MVP lost his chance when all his momentum stopped, but christ he's more over than most of the other wrestlers on Smackdown! Edge will probably be the next champion though, and continue his reign until Wrestlemania and hopefully face a returning Christian. Best chance for MVP now would probably be winning the MITB at WM.

^ He should have won the MITB at WM24. But yeah winning it at WM could be what he needs. They should give him an IC title run first though. If he won it in the next few months though it would be illogical.

I'm waiting for "He can't travel out of the US!" to come up.

So to pre-ept I'm going to remind you the only country he can't go to is Japan, a place they never go to anyway.

MVP is is more awesome than the Miz - Fact

He could get a Swagger style title run. - Maybe

But I think he messed with the wrong guys behind the scenes or something.

Of course they can’t try to hide it, it’s clear as day, you see how they got him out of the elimination tag team match first in his hometown. They were not going to let MVP popularity steal the spotlight of Mysterio/Del Rio. When they both was in the ring getting ready to go at it their faces was priceless cause of the attention was all on Porter. Mysterio had to acknowledge that when he told MVP to do this “305” pose.

He really should've won the Wrestlemania 24 MITB
This 100%, that was truly his match to win since Jeff got suspended. MVP had the highest credibility in that match next to Jericho.
