There's been some buzz about a potential acquisition of Total Nonstop Action (TNA) and WWE. According to reports, TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of WWE, has discussed acquiring TNA as part of its latest acquisition plans. This potential deal would see TNA join WWE and UFC under the TKO umbrella. Is their any truth on this?

It makes sense. I’ve thought for the last year that TNA would make an excellent fit in the WWE farm system. It would basically slot in at:

Single A Developmental: Evolve
Double A Developmental: TNA
Triple A Developmental: NXT

It also gives WWE options if they want to abandon NXT as a developmental brand and make it a true main roster brand.

I feel like it's inevitable.

To say however that I'd be disappointed and somewhat fumed at this is beyond an understatement, it's a bad look on the industry too when smaller companies are being bought up by the largest one.

Jesus sickos relax. Just was a observation lmao
You can't defend your own silly statements and now its "relax" lol, no one is attacking you, just making a correction. I even agree with you that ROH is not ran well right now, its just matches galore, but its still progress from when they were literally on their deathbed, and he's still actively trying to get a TV deal for it.

I mean I honestly don't see much changing other than a higher quality production value and possible move to Netflix which is a benfit to TNA.

Would there be talent moves?? Yes likely but I see it happening in both directions
I think the bigger issue though is that it strengthens their monopolistic push when you dissolve promotions that still have some life such as AAA or TNA. The benefits in regards to higher production value and a possible streaming deal in the future are definitely positives though, but all under the WWE banner.

You always take shit so deep on here and spin your own narrative of bs thinking you’re always right and everyone else is just wrong. So whatever you say dawg lmao

Congrats ROH is still a dead brand that is now just being funded by a wrestling mark billionaire with endless money <3

WWE buying TNA would be so awful for the wrestling business. We need promotions with different identities for fans to follow. AEW being around is more important than ever right now. OG TNA fans are gonna go scorched Earth if this happens, they've been flipping out over what happened at Slammiversary.
Absolutely, I think though at this point they’re already been bought out well it feels that way through the booking and roster members. I don’t even think TNA allows any of its talent to do outside bookings at all anymore. I rather they just combine TNA and NXT to save the men’s division and strengthen everything else. A division with Trick, Hendry, Santana, Moose, Fema, Starks, Jake Something etc. is much stronger than a split. But then again I can see them keeping the two companies.

Do you have anything to say that is worth a shit? Or just more memes?

I don't have to watch TNA to understand that having an array of different promotions that are all independent is healthy for the business kid. I don't have to watch TNA to understand that its giving Mustafa Ali and Santana a place to go after things didn't work out for them in AEW and WWE.

I'm done with this. You can have the last word.
It seems like all the anti AEW guys feel like disagreeing with them in anyway shape or form is you being hurt about an opinion. Like you’re suppose to just be like your right. Then even when you express your point in a logical way they try to downplay it with a condescending “Relax Sicko” lol.

And it seems if anyone doesn't glaze the AEW product 100%. They're "Anti AEW". And the fact the word sicko offends you guys. A term in which Tony himself made a thing is also hilarious. I've seen all the hardcore fans in my day. WCW,ECW,TNA. and shit even NJPW fans etc, but none have come close as being as soft as AEW fans are. Always crying when people dislike the shit they love and just have the biggest victim complex.

A merged roster would be cool and would certainly help NXT's division on the men's side, it just comes at a cost. Less destinations for up and coming talent to decide between. So if WWE and AEW say no to them, then there are less viable places to go with actual brand value. Without TNA the likes of Santana, Mustafa, Masha, Indi Hartwell, Peyton Royce, Joe Hendry, Tessa Blanchard, Kazarian, Hardyz, etc would all be out of work in all likelihood. TKO/WWE and AEW can't sign everyone, and whenever TKO is looking to cost cut they're gonna get rid of the contracted talents first. Dissolving TNA just means they have more control over the market.

Exactly, they can't defend their points so they want to take these passive aggressive shots at you because you don't blindly agree with their low IQ statements lol. The word "sicko" just means "hardcore fan" but this guy is using it like sickos are less than lol. He was proven wrong and instead of just admitting he didn't know about the ROH situation, he proceeded to make his condescending remarks. He posts to talk shit, not to gain understanding or have an actual discussion on anything which is why all you see from the guy is exclamation marks, emojis, memes and "I wanna lick Liv Morgan's butt" posts.

We really need to look at this from the point of view that its freaking TKO looking to buy TNA not WWE.

TNA will likely still be a separate entity under TKO umbrella just like WWE is with UFC so the talent having somewhere to go should not be the issue here (unless it's someone black balled)

There are way more benefits than negatives for TNA here.

This would be bad for the wrestling industry. Just another monopoly eating up a smaller promotion. For the sake of the business I hope it doesn't happen

There's been no invasion storyline...there's lots of crossover but you can't call it an invasion...NXT guys are welcome on TNA within kayfabe and vice versa. Trick William has teamed with First Class, Joe Hendry teamed with Hank & Tank...An invasion would be straight up war between NXT and TNA, this has not been that.

Despite their ups and downs over the years, TNA has become a key part of pro-wrestling history....maybe WWE just want them for that, their video library, hell maybe WWE even want their own X-Division.....how do you know WWE is getting everything they want out of this, did Triple H, Nick Khan and Ari Emanuel tell you this personally?
