Right, so here is my first Raw show
Might be a bit weak on the promos front, but I'll get used to it.
-------
Monday Night Raw
August 15, 2011
Richmond, Virginia
The show starts with a video package, detailing what happened in the main event of Summerslam, as well as the aftermath, with Kevin Nash taking out CM Punk and then Alberto Del Rio cashing in Money in the Bank. The opening credits roll, and then we enter the arena.
*ITS TIME TO PLAY THE GAME*
There is a huge cheer from the WWE Universe, as the COO of the WWE, Triple H comes out from behind the curtain, all suited up, and he starts bounding down the ramp.
Michael Cole: Ladies and Gentlemen welcome to Monday Night Raw and we are just one night removed from one of the most controversial Summerslams of all time. But, it was not without its fair share of controversy.
Jerry Lawler: We saw John Cena and CM Punk battle it out for the Undisputed WWE Championship, and CM Punk came out on top, but it was what happened after the match where it all got interesting.
Michael Cole: For the first time in months, Kevin Nash appeared in the WWE, and he took out CM Punk, allowing Alberto Del Rio to come out and cash in his Money in the Bank contract and become the WWE Champion for the first time.
Jerry Lawler: And this man, the COO of the WWE, Triple H, who was the referee in the WWE Championship Match last night, boy... he has been answering Tweets, phone calls, text messages, everything, people asking why Kevin Nash was at Summerslam. But the response they are all getting is ‘I don’t know’.
Michael Cole: Well maybe, just maybe, Triple H has some answers for us now.
Triple H is now standing in the ring, and he looks extremely pissed off. He raises the microphone to his mouth, but he is cut off by a ‘TRIPLE H’ chant from the WWE Universe. They finally die down, and the COO gets to speak.
Triple H: All day, people have been asking me ‘Why was Kevin Nash at Summerslam?’, and ‘Was it all your idea?’ Once again, I am going to tell you the answer. I don’t know. I don’t know why Kevin Nash was at Summerslam, or who told him he can come to Summerslam, or whose idea it was for him to be there. All I know is that we have
ONE WWE Champion.
There is a mixed reaction to this.
Triple H: After all, the main event for last night was designed to do just that. But the guy that left with the championship wasn’t one of the two guys that walked in with it... but, as weird as it this feels, announcing the arrival of an announcer, ladies and gentlemen, please give a warm welcome to Ricardo Rodriguez.
With that, the camera switches attention to the stage, and Ricardo Rodriguez strolls out looking the happiest we have ever seen him.
*REALEZA*
There is a decent amount of heat, as Alberto Del Rio then pulls up by the stage in a brand new Bentley, he is grinning from ear to ear, and he then stands up on the driver’s seat, holding his newly won WWE Championship above his head. Ricardo Rodriguez is now jumping around the ring, shouting ‘DEL RRRIIIOOOO’ repeatedly, much to the annoyance of both Triple H and the WWE Universe. Del Rio gets out of his car and then goes onto the ramp and sets his little pyro display off. Del Rio gets into the ring, and Ricardo Rodriguez gives him his microphone.
Triple H: Alberto, before you start, I just wanna say congratulations on your victory last night.
Alberto Del Rio: Thank you, Mr COO.
Triple H gives an appreciative nod, and then fades into the back of the shot, standing by one of the corners. The new champ now addresses his audience.
Alberto Del Rio: My name is Alberto Del Rrrriiioooo, and I am the new WWE Championé... but you, aha,
you already know that.
There is some solid heat for this now.
Alberto Del Rio: Now as you can see above the ring here
(motions up to the rafters, and there is a net holding up about 1000 balloons and lots of confetti.), tonight is going to be a night of celebration, but that will come at the end of the show, where we will see the greatest celebration ever seen in the WWE, for the greatest WWE Champion of all time.
Heat.
Alberto Del Rio: You see, last night, I fulfilled my destiny. I pinned CM Punk to the mat for
(Counting it out) 1...2...3! He was not even champion for ten minutes! But I, Alberto Del Rio, will be champion for a very...long...time.
A resounding groan comes out from the WWE Universe.
Alberto Del Rio: Why are you all so upset about this? I’ve finally saved you from the same John Cena crap you’ve had to watch for the past few years, because John Cena, or CM Punk, or anyone else, will be WWE Champion again. Ricardo!
Rodriguez then suddenly stops jumping around the ring, and then runs right over to his master.
Alberto Del Rio: We are going to leave now, but the party! The party will continue later on. Thank you Triple H, but we will now leave.
Del Rio starts getting out the ring, and Triple H then moves back into the middle of the ring to speak again.
Triple H: Thank you very much, Alberto-
*CULT OF PERSONALITY*
The crowd comes off their seats, as the familiar music hits, and CM Punk then steps out onto the stage. Del Rio, who was half way up the ramp, looks extremely pissed off, and Triple H doesn’t seem to happy either. Punk also has a microphone.
CM Punk: Sorry, did I miss something? Did I miss the part where Triple H explains why Kevin Nash was at Summerslam to cost me the WWE Championship last night?
Triple H: Punk, I told you and everyone else that I don’t know why he was there.
CM Punk: Shut the hell up! I-
Triple H:
DON’T YOU DARE TELL ME TO SHUT UP!
CM Punk: I can say whatever I want to you, because
you owe me! Yeah, that’s right; you owe me a WWE Championship Match. I had a rematch clause in my contract which means that your little Mexican Aristocrat that is part of this whole grand scheme with you, and your buddy Kevin Nash trying to keep the WWE Championship away from me.
Triple H: There is no scheme, there is no conspiracy. But Punk, here is what I will let happen. If you get the hell out of my face right now, you can have your rematch at Night of Champions.
The crowd comes alive, and Del Rio is now incensed.
Triple H: Do we have a deal?
Punk scratches his chin a little bit to indicate that he is thinking.
CM Punk: No. We don’t have a deal. He cut my reign short, so I want to do the same to him; I want my rematch right now.
Del Rio’s anger is now almost at boiling point.
Triple H: I can’t do that now Punk; we have to draw the contracts up-
CM Punk: Since when did I give a crap about contracts? Fine. Here is what I am suggesting happens, you go to the back and write up your contracts and then I’ll come back out here later and then we will have the WWE Championship Match. Okay?
Del Rio is now swearing in Spanish at Punk, who seems content with his efforts thus far.
Triple H: Fine, you have your match later on.
The crowd explodes, as Triple H looks disappointed in himself for caving.
*CULT OF PERSONALITY*
Del Rio is now up onto the apron and pointing fingers at the COO. CM Punk then stands grinning at his handiwork.
Jerry Lawler: Can you believe it? We’re going to have a WWE Championship Match later on tonight!

“AWE-SOME”
*I CAME TO PLAY*
There is a mixed reaction in the arena, as The Awesome Truth enters the arena from the back, and they are both in possession of microphones and the music cuts out basically as soon as they start speaking.
The Miz: I bet you all think you are so lucky that you are getting to see The Miz in a match with Superman in a few minutes. You are all about to witness me being his kryptonite. I am going to beat John Cena, and I am going to prove that I am worthy of being WWE Champion again.
R-Truth: Night of Champions is only a few weeks away, and we better be in a WWE Championship Match, or Triple H is gon’ get got!
The two men then enter the ring.
The Miz: The biggest misfortune of last night was that us two, The Awesome Truth were only in a last minute, filler 6 man tag team match...
Really?
“Really?”
The Miz: Really?
“Really?”
The Miz: Ya, and to make it even better; we lost.
R-Truth: I’m gonna get my hands on that Lil’ Jimmy Rey Mysterio! I-
The Miz: Woah, Truth, let me stop you right there my friend. Rey Mysterio is of no concern to us.
We want John Cena. John Cena, tonight, your reign of terror in the WWE come to an end. Because we are The Awesome Truth and we are....
*MY TIME IS NOW*
The crowd gives another mixed reaction, as John Cena has obviously heard enough. Cena starts walking down to the ring, and he has a microphone also.
John Cena: Ah right, I see what you guys are saying, and yeah, I get what ya mean. You guys don’t like it that I get championship matches and you don’t. Well here is a little piece of information that I think you need to know; I get those matches because I bust my ass in that ring every night for these people. I don’t care if they like me or hate me; I’ll still give one-hundred percent for each and every one of them, regardless of their personal feelings towards me.
Cena has now reached the steel steps, and starts entering the ring, facing the two men already inside it.
John Cena: If you two want to be in championship matches, why don’t you do what I do? Why don’t you put it all in this ring and then win matches?
For once The Awesome Truth are speechless, and Cena is starting to win over the crowd.
John Cena: If either of you two were me, you’d be out here complaining that Triple H made a bad call, and be demanding a rematch for the WWE Championship. Hell, we saw CM Punk out here just a few minutes ago demanding a rematch. I’m sure if I’d have beat CM Punk last night, Kevin Nash would have taken me out too...
The Miz: See, Cena! There it is. You always think it’s about you. We, along with all the guys in the back are sick of you thinking Raw is
‘The John Cena Show’. You might think some of those guys are your friends, but they all have one thing in common;
they would do anything to take your place from you.
R-Truth: And tonight, we are gonna remove you from yo’ place, and then
we gon’ take it.
John Cena: That is how you guys think it all is. Fine.
Cena then throws his hat into the crowd and removes his T-Shirt (Cue screaming women) and throws that in too. He drops his mic to the ground, and tells Miz to “C’mon, let’s go!”. Miz tells Truth to leave the ring so the match can get underway.
Match 1
John Cena vs The Miz w/ R-Truth
Cena doesn’t waste any time in getting started, as he sees Miz busy shouting at some fans, Cena runs over and flattens him with a clothesline! Miz doesn’t get up straight away, instead he rolls out of the ring and goes over to talk tactics with Truth. The Awesome Truth then share a nod and Miz tentatively slides back into the ring, only to see a very game John Cena standing across to him. Cena then holds his hand up to initiate some kind of grapple, which Miz goes for, but Cena then quickly transitions it into a side headlock, but Miz then breaks free and Cena is pushed into the ropes, and he then comes back and takes Miz down with another huge clothesline! Cena loves it, and he sees Miz getting up and then runs behind him and gives him a Bulldog! Miz is planted right onto his face! Cena takes a moment to figure out where to go next, but Miz is already scurrying into a corner to get back to his feet. Cena then charges and crushes Miz in the corner with another clothesline! Miz falls down to his knees, and Cena then brings him straight back up, whipping Miz into the other corner then following him in. Miz attempts to bridge over, but Cena goes under and catches him on his shoulders in the Fireman’s Carry! The crowd pops as they see Miz’ predicament, but the Awesome One manages to wriggle out and fall down, landing on his feet right in front of Cena. Miz kicks Cena in the gut and then plants him down to the mat with a Snap DDT! Miz then drapes an arm over to match the cover...

Miz is now in control after that early near fall, as one of the conspiracy theorists drops an elbow down onto the prone Cena. Miz goes for another cover, but Cena kicks out at 1. Miz helps Cena up to his feet, and whips him into the corner. Miz then charges in and flies at Cena with his seated corner clothesline! The impact sends Cena falling forwards onto his face, and Miz then takes a few seconds to smirk in the direction of one of the many cameras. Cena now gets back to his feet, and Miz runs at him, connecting with a huge knee lift and then a swinging neck breaker. Miz goes down and then covers Cena once more

Cena kicks out!
That gets a mixed response from the WWE Universe, as the kiddies enjoyed seeing Cena kick out but everyone else didn’t. Miz doesn’t seem too frustrated, as he just then starts stomping on the back of Cena’s neck, and dropping a couple of knees down onto it also. After getting Cena to his feet, Miz then grabs him by the neck and throws him over the top rope, landing right next to R-Truth!
Cena lands on the floor with a loud thud, and The Miz then goes over to the corner and urges the referee to come over to him. R-Truth then illegally gets involved by getting Cena up and throwing him back first into the ring barricade, and then kicking him in the stomach, before shouting a load of trash right in his face. Truth then gets Cena up, but the fire has already been lit. John snaps and then gives Truth a shot straight to the face. Cena then takes Truth and sends him flying into the steel steps! Miz gets out the ring on the adjacent side to where the action had just taken place, but he is completely wiped out by a John Cena clothesline! Truth is now back to his feet, so Cena then finds him, and takes him out with a clothesline as well for good measure!
Cena is on fire now, as he walks around the ring post to grab Miz and rolls him back into the ring. Cena then slides in after him, and Miz is back to his feet by the time Cena is in so Miz starts stomping away at Cena as he tries to get into the ring. But Cena manages to power through and start laying right hands to the face of The Awesome One. R-Truth then gets back to his feet on the outside of the ring, and he starts telling a few ‘Little Jimmies’ to shut up. Miz is then up against the opposite ropes, and Cena tries to fire him off, but Miz turns it around and Cena is sent across the ring, but comes back with a huge flying shoulder block. The Haters now start hatin’ for the ‘5 Moves of Doom’ beginning and Cena goes flying into Miz again. Both men are back to their feet quickly, and Miz swings. Cena ducks it and then spins Miz up and Cena plants him down on the mat, centre ring.
Truth is now extremely animated on the outside of the ring, as Miz is laid on his back in the centre of the ring, and Cena goes and leans over him, and gives us a
‘You can’t see me!’, before rebounding off the ropes and dropping the Five Knuckle Shuffle right to The Miz. Cena then back away, stalking Miz; waiting on him to get to his feet. Meanwhile, R-Truth goes over to the timekeeper’s area, and
grabs a steel chair! Back in the ring, Miz is just getting himself up to his feet, and as he turns around, he is met by John Cena, who then hoists him up onto his shoulders, ready for the AA! Cena gives the camera an intense stare, but before he can deliver the move, he is
hit in the mid section with the chair by R-Truth! Miz falls of Cena’s shoulders as he drops down to his knees. The referee has no choice but to ring the bell.
Winner – John Cena via Disqualification (8.19)
The WWE Universe look shocked at Truth’s actions, but he then gives the keeled over Cena another shot, this time to the back, which sends Cena falling onto the canvas. Miz then gets down in his face, as Truth goes out the ring to get another chair, and he throws it over the top rope to The Miz, who picks it up. Truth slides back into the ring and picks up his chair, and then The Awesome Truth both take turns in crashing the chair against the back of John Cena! Cena takes what seems like well over 10 shots to the back with the chairs, and Miz then order Truth to drop his chair, which he does. Miz then gets the now semi-conscious Cena and hooks his arms up, and there is a mixed reaction, as it seems that Miz is going to give the Skull Crushing Finale onto the chair!
...
*SOS*
There is a pop from the WWE Universe, as somewhat unannounced, Kofi Kingston charges out from the back and he has a steel chair of his own! Truth and Miz see him coming, and decide to not try and contend with the Controlled Frenzy, instead leaving the ring, and running around it as Kofi slides in to check on Cena.
Michael Cole: What the hell is Kofi Kingston doing out here? He has no place in Miz or Truth’s business!
Jerry Lawler: He was just doing the right thing! John Cena, Kofi’s good friend, needed help, and that is exactly what Kofi is giving him! Yeah Kofi!
Miz and Truth seem angered at Kofi’s appearance, and Raw goes to commercial, as The Awesome Truth look back toward the ring, where Kingston is calling for medics to come down and check on John Cena.
*Commercial*
We return, and we see a pair of trainers, and then the camera tilts up, and we see that the trainers belong to John Cena, who is sitting in his locker room. He has a medic with him trying to see if he is alright, and Cena then motions that his back is in pain, following the chair assault before the break. Suddenly though, Cena cracks a smile, and gets to his feet (with some trouble). He extends a hand out, and it is shook by someone. The camera widens and we see that it is Kofi Kingston, which gets a decent cheer from the crowd.
Kofi Kingston: How’s the back feelin’ John?
John Cena: Ahh, it’s been better Kof’. But listen buddy, I just want to thank you for coming out there tonight. I’d ‘a’ been in a lot worse shape than this if it weren’t for you.
Kofi Kingston: I was just out there doing d’ right thing. Guys like Miz and Truth like to work the numbers game, so I thought I’d even them out for ya, John. Was just a friend being a friend. But I have an idea for ya, which I think you might like.
John Cena: I’m listenin’
Kofi Kingston: How about me and you team up next week, and we take on Awesome Truth. That way, we can shut them both up, and have some fun at the same time, what d’ ya say?
John Cena: That sounds great man, my back should be fine by then, and I really could do with some payback on those two. Well, I guess I’ll see you out there next week then, gotta let these medics do their job.
Kofi Kingston: Okay man, take care now. See you next week, partner.
The two men then shake hands once again, and then Kofi walks out the room, leaving the medics to be able to treat Cena.
Back in the arena...
*GLAMAZON*
The crowd gives an awestruck reaction for Beth Phoenix, who marches down to the ring, and she is ready to compete, as she is scheduled to be in action up next.
Michael Cole: I feel sorry for Beth Phoenix. Last night she should have won the Divas Championship from that Barbie, Kelly Kelly.
Beth gets into the ring and climbs the turnbuckle, doing her signature pose on the middle rope. She jumps down and then awaits for her opponent.
*SHE LOOKS GOOD TO ME*
There is a great reception for Eve, as she jogs down the ramp and starts slapping hands with the fans in the front row. Eve then slides into the ring and stares Phoenix straight in the eyes, before climbing a turnbuckle herself and posing for the fans.
Match 2
Beth Phoenix vs Eve
The two Divas lock up in the centre of the ring. Beth naturally gets the better of it and forces Eve into the corner. The referee then comes in to separate the two Divas, but Beth then takes a shot at Eve over his back. Torres drops to the ground and Phoenix drives her boot into Eve’s throat. The referee is forced to intervene once again, and Phoenix is starting to get frustrated early on in the match. When then referee back away, Phoenix is straight back in on Eve, and she grabs her by the hair and props her head onto the middle rope, and brings the knee across the back of Eve’s neck, choking her out on the ring rope. The referee starts counting to five, but Phoenix breaks the hold just after 4. Phoenix laughs as Eve starts spluttering towards a corner, and Beth then stomps down on her back in order to stop Eve getting away from her. Beth gets Eve up to her feet, but Eve comes back with a couple of punches, taking the Glamazon by surprise. Eve then goes to rebound off the opposite ropes, but Beth grabs her hair and pulls her back, Eve’s back landing right onto Beth’s knee! Phoenix in total control in the opening couple of minutes now, and she then goes down for the first cover of the match

Eve kicks out.
Beth takes joy from Eve kicking out as she can resume her dominance. Beth gets a handful of hair again, and drags Eve over to the corner. She places Eve’s head on the middle turnbuckle, and then drives her knee into it, and Eve drops to the mat like a stone. Beth then grabs her by the hair to pull the deadweight off the mat, and Beth then scoops her up and holds her above her head in a Military Press position, before allowing Eve to fall forwards right onto her front! Eve screams out in pain at the move, but Beth obviously doesn’t care. She then goes down and locks in a double chicken wing backbreaker, and even someone with the flexibility of Eve can make this not hurt. Eve screams out due to the pain, but the WWE Universe start to get behind her, and she begins just shaking her back to try and wriggle Phoenix off of her.
Eve finally manages to struggle her way out of the hold, but Beth is still in control, with another firm grip on the hair of her opponent. Beth tries to hook Eve up for the Glam Slam... but
Eve rolls through, putting Beth in a pinning predicament, just like Kelly Kelly last night!

Eve then runs, does a beautiful cartwheel and connects with an elbow to the side of Beth’s head! Beth falls to the ground, and lands on her back in the middle of the ring. Eve then runs against the ropes and rebounds with a handspring moonsault, landing right onto Beth! Eve makes another cover.

Eve doesn’t seem at all disheartened, instead she gets back to her feet and encourages the WWE Universe to get involved, and they respond with a huge cheer as Eve then motions to the top turnbuckle. She climbs up, and Phoenix shows no indication of moving. Eve gets on the top rope, and she goes for the Moonsault! But Phoenix rolls out of the way! Eve lands hard on her stomach, as Beth is now back to her feet after using the turnbuckle to get back to a vertical base. She sees what state Eve is in and walks over with a huge grin. Beth then gets her up, and then puts Eve in position, before dropping her down with the

Beth gets up to her feet and then has her hand raised by the referee, as a replay of the Glam Slam was shown.
Michael Cole: What a dominant performance from The Glamazon! This is what it is all about, not all these little Divas and their little back flips.
Jerry Lawler: Well I clearly saw in that match that Eve almost had Beth Phoenix beat with that standing Moonsault.
Michael Cole: You just said it yourself, King.
Almost! No diva will ever be able to kick out of the Glam Slam.
We then cut to a room in the back, where we see that the Divas Champion, Kelly Kelly had been watching it all on a monitor in the back. Kelly seems impressed with Beth’s performance, despite it being against her best friend.
*Commercial*
We return from commercial and straight into the arena.
*I AM PERFECTION*
There is a decent amount of heat for the United States Champion, Dolph Ziggler, but the majority of it is probably for his manager, Vickie Guerrero. Ziggler is dressed to compete, and he has his championship around his waist as he strides down the ramp to the ring.
Michael Cole: Now here is a champion! Dolph Ziggler has now become synonymous with the United States Championship. He will be holding that title for a long time, let me tell you that.
Jerry Lawler: I just think that depends if he can keep Vickie Guerrero by his side.
Dolph is in the ring, and he look focused, as he and Vickie await Ziggler’s opponent.
*BOOYAKA 619*
The crowd goes into somewhat of frenzy for Rey Mysterio, as he then goes onto the stage and sets his pyro off on both sides. He starts making his way down to the ring, and then touches heads with all the young fans in the front rows, before giving his over mask to a young boy being held up by his dad. Mysterio gets in the ring, so Vickie takes Dolph’s title away from him and then exits, Dolph opening the ropes for her.
Match 3:
Non-Title Match
United States Champion Dolph Ziggler w/ Vickie Guerrero vs Rey Mysterio
The two men circle the ring as the bell chimes. Mysterio looks eager to come in and lock up, and Ziggler seems to oblige, that is until he cheap shots Rey in the stomach with a kick! Ziggler then capitalizes with a shot to the back of the now doubled over Mysterio, which knocks the little Mexican to the ground. Ziggler then connects with a few stomps to Mysterio’s lower back, before dropping an elbow down onto the same area. Ziggler then waits for Rey to get to his feet, and then whips him across the ring. Rey returns to Ziggler and attempts to go for a Hurracanrana, but Ziggler then quickly turns the move into a Tilt-A-Whirl Backbreaker! Rey’s back bending viciously across Ziggler’s knee! Dolph now wears a sick smile, and Mysterio is selling the injury to the back, and Ziggler doesn’t help the situation with a big kick to the affected area, and Rey’s back arching due to the impact of the shot. Dolph then waits on Mysterio to get to his feet, and then he hooks Rey’s arms, before taking him up and then down with a vertical suplex! Ziggler then goes down for the first cover of the match, grinding the forearm into Rey’s face.

Rey slides a shoulder up
Ziggler acknowledges that he needs to do more in order to put the veteran away, he will have to go for bigger moves, and the announcers put over the resiliency of Mysterio. Dolph gets to his feet, and goes to drop another elbow onto Rey, but Mysterio moves! Rey then runs against the ropes and returns with a dropkick right into Ziggler’s face, leaving the US Champ in a slight daze. Rey then helps Ziggles to his feet and pushes him into the corner, before running at Ziggler, but Ziggler then elevates him up and Mysterio lands on the ring apron. Ziggler walks into the centre of the ring, but turns around and gets taken out by a

Ziggler kicks out again!
Mysterio has really quickened the pace of the match up, and the two near falls just now has Guerrero worried on the outside. She urges Dolph to start getting back into the match which has now fallen into Mysterio’s control. When both men return to their feet this time, Ziggler makes a point not to go in hasty ay Mysterio, but he instead goes for a hammerlock on his smaller opponent, but Rey’s size allows him to get out of the hold easily, and he then flips Ziggler over using his own arm! Dolph gets back to his feet, now extremely frustrated, and he charges in at Mysterio, but Rey then does his signature wheelbarrow bulldog, and Ziggler’s face is planted into the canvas! The impact sends Dolph over onto his back, as Mysterio makes his way over to the turnbuckle, and starts climbing, but with his back to Ziggler. The fans start to pop as they realise that Rey is going for a Moonsault! But Rey is distracted when Vickie Guerrero jumps up onto the apron, and this give Ziggler the chance to push Rey’s legs and Rey falls onto the top turnbuckle hard! Dolph wastes no time in getting Mysterio into an electric chair position on his shoulders, and Dolph then falls back, and Mysterio’s head, neck and injured back all land hard on the mat! Ziggler then springs back up to his feet, and stands in the corner for a second to rest. He sees Mysterio just being able to stand up and runs over and connects with the

Ziggler is in complete shock that Rey kicked out of the leg drop bulldog, and he actually then gets in the referee’s face and tells him that a faster count was needed. Ziggler then turns around, and Rey Mysterio charges at him, and then gives Ziggler a Hurracanrana, and Ziggler is flung into the ropes and he lands with his neck over the middle rope! The fans pop, as Rey Mysterio the dials up...619! But Ziggler had gotten out of the way! The United States Champion had rolled out of the ring to avoid the contact, and he then points to his head to indicate that he managed to outsmart Mysterio. Rey doesn’t seem happy his move missed, but the then propels himself over the top rope for a somersault plancha, but
Vickie Guerrero grabs Ziggler and pulls him out of the way just in time! Mysterio lands on the ground with a sickening thud, landing right on the pre-injured back! Ziggler looks extremely relieved, as Raw then goes to a commercial break...
*Commercial*
Returning from the commercial, we see that Dolph has applied a single leg crab which has contorted Rey’s body in an uncompromising position, and the referee is down by Rey’s head, asking him if he is going to tap out, the answer of course being no.
We are then shown the replay of what went down before the break with Mysterio going for the diving somersault over the ropes, but Vickie pulling Ziggler out of the way. We then see what went down during the break with Dolph then ramming Rey’s back into the ring apron, and then the ring post.
Rey tries to edge himself towards the ropes, but Ziggler then plants his feet even firmer on the ground. Rey raises his hand, and there are some screams in the WWE Universe in fear of Rey actually tapping out to the hold. Rey starts feeding off the crowd cheering him, and he then manages to start wriggling, and he begins inching towards the ropes, still shaking his leg, causing Dolph to lose his grip! Rey then scurries away from his opponent, and Dolph seems frustrated even more now and then dives onto Rey with a couple of forearms to the back. Ziggler then takes Rey into the middle of the ring and tries to apply the Sleeper Hold! But Rey sees it and turns around, giving Ziggler a kick to the leg. Rey then kicks Ziggler in the leg once more, and Dolph goes down to one knee, and Rey then creams Ziggler in the head with a kick! Vickie is now screaming at Rey to stop, as her client is now in trouble, as Mysterio has just climbed up the turnbuckle, and Mysterio soars through the air and connects with a splash onto Ziggler! Rey then hooks the leg of the United States Champion!

Rey is in the most disbelief, sitting next to the prone Ziggler with his hands on his head. Rey manages to get back to his feet, and he appears to have a set strategy for what he is going to do next. He waits for Ziggler to get back to his feet, before giving him a dropkick to the back, and Ziggler falls onto the middle rope! The fans pop as they know what is coming, Rey goes to rebound off the ropes, but as he does, Vickie Guerrero catches his leg, and Rey falls straight onto his face! There is solid heat for Vickie, who pretends that nothing happened, and that Rey just tripped, but the referee saw what happened. After having a war of words with Guerrero, he decides to send her to the back! There is now a host of cheers from the WWE Universe, as Vickie screams ‘NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!’ at the referee, and Mysterio is then back to his feet, and he watches as Vickie is escorted up the ramp by another official, but he is taken from surprise by a
Zig Zag from Ziggler! The fans are deflated, and Ziggler then makes the cover, hooking both legs.

*I AM PERFECTION*
Guerrero starts clapping and making her way down the ramp, back to her client. Mysterio is down holding the back of his head, with the ref down checking on him. Ziggler is handed his championship from the timekeeper and places it on his shoulder as Guerrero gives him a hug.
Michael Cole: What a match! And what a win for the United States Champion! Knocking off someone with the main event experience of someone like Rey Mysterio surely tells us that this kid is meant for the big leagues.
Jerry Lawler: I can’t help but think that Vickie Guerrero had a huge part to play in that win though.
Michael Cole: Nonetheless, Ziggler is the winner here, and I feel sorry for whoever is going to challenge him come Night of Champions, because he is on the top of his game right now.

NIGHT OF CHAMPIONS
SEPTEMBER 18TH 2011
ONLY ON PAY-PER-VIEW!
*End Video Package*
We’re back in the arena now, and Jack Swagger is in the ring, his music still playing.
Michael Cole: The next event on the WWE Calendar is of course Night of Champions, the night where every match will be for a championship!
Jerry Lawler: If my math is correct, there are 6 championships in the WWE, and we are bound to get at least one change hands surely!
*OH RADIO*
There is a loud pop in the arena, as Zack Ryder makes his way out through the curtain, and he Woo Woo Woos it up for us, making his way down to the ring doing his LI pose.
Michael Cole: This idiot? Someone with the ability of Jack Swagger has to waste his time in a match with someone like Zack Ryder? This is a joke!
Jerry Lawler: Well Jack shouldn’t have a lot of trouble if he is as good as you say he is.
The fans love Ryder, but Swagger isn’t as much. Ryder jumps up onto the middle rope and starts posing for the fans, but Swagger can’t be bothered with any of it, and then jumps him from behind!
Match 4
Jack Swagger vs Zack Ryder
Ryder crashes to the mat as the bell rings. Swagger then goes down and starts raining in some heavy blows to the head and back of his opponent. Swagger gets the Long Island Iced Z up, and puts him in a corner, before ramming a couple of hard shoulders into the gut of his opponent. Swagger then tears Ryder’s jacket off of him and throws it to the floor, the referee then kicking it out of the ring. Swagger then brings Ryder into the middle of the ring and puts him up onto his shoulder, and then brings Ryder back down with a shoulder breaker, Ryder’s shoulder connecting with Swagger’s knee! Ryder sells the pain, and then crawls over to the ropes in order to get back to his feet, as Swagger simply stands with his arms out by his sides, indicating that he wants to finish this one early. Ryder stumbles into the middle of the ring and Swagger kicks him in the gut, and then hooks his arms around Ryder’s waist, and takes him up for the gutwrench! But Ryder shakes out!
Ryder then lands on his feet and runs against the ropes, but on his return he is caught by a huge boot to the face from Swagger! The impact then caused Ryder to roll out of the ring and fall to the floor. Swagger then follows him out and catches up with Zack who was trying to take a break. Swagger then kicks Ryder in the gut again and then throws him into the ring barrier with a harsh thud. Swagger removes Ryder’s headband and puts it on his own head, and gives the crowd a
‘Woo Woo Woo’ of his own, and then rolls Ryder back into the ring. Swagger then starts taunting the crowd, before taking his time to get back into the ring. When he does, he helps Ryder to his feet, and then whips him against the ropes, and goes for a clothesline, but Ryder ducks! Ryder carries on to the opposite side and then comes off the ropes with a
Rough Ryder CONNECTING!! The fans erupt, as Ryder then hooks Swagger’s far leg and the referee counts it

Michael Cole: What?!
Ryder gets his hand raised and then rolls out of the ring and starts backing up the ramp, trying to get away from the furious Swagger in the ring, who is holding the back of his head in absolute fury.
Michael Cole: How did Jack Swagger just lose to Zack Ryder? How? How?!
Jerry Lawler: I think if Jack would have spent less time taunting the fans out here, and more time trying to win the match, the outcome would have been a lot different.
We cut from Swagger looking extremely pissed off in the ring, to an advertisement for the World Tour in November.
From there we then fade into Triple H’s office, where he looks extremely stressed out, John Laurinaitis is standing with him, and we come in half way through a conversation.
Triple H: ...just leave me alone, okay John?
John Laurinaitis: If you’d just tell me why this has affected you so much, maybe there is something I could do to help.
Triple H: There’s nothing anyone can do. I’ve given CM Punk the match; I can’t go back on my word. And then there is this whole thing with Kev, I’ve not got any messages from him; I don’t know why he showed up last night, or why he attacked Punk. But whatever his reasoning, he’s pissed off the biggest pain in the ass we have around here.
Laurinaitis then moves a little closer to The Game and puts a hand on his shoulder.
John Laurinaitis: Maybe you should take the rest of the night off. I can look after Raw the rest of tonight for you. All of this seems like it’s getting to you a little too much.
Triple H: Y’know, I think you’re right John, but you sure you can handle it?
John Laurinaitis: I’m the Executive Vice President of Talent Relations, I can handle anything.
Both men share a little chuckle.
Triple H: Okay, I’ll go get my stuff together. Call me if you need me though.
John Laurinaitis: I’ll be sure to do that, take care now.
As soon as Triple H leaves, the camera focuses on Laurinaitis’ face, and it shows his smile going to a more sinister smile...

We return from this commercial, and see Scott Stanford standing by in the interview area.
Scott Stanford: In light of the events that transpired earlier this evening, my guests now have requested this time to answer a challenge made to them earlier this evening. Ladies and Gentlemen, The Awesome Truth.
There is a bit of heat with a few cheers mixed in for The Awesome Truth who then walk into the shot and Stanford quietly leaves the frame and allows The Miz and R-Truth to address the camera.
The Miz: Kofi Kingston... I bet you think that you’re the big hero for going out there and saving John Cena earlier tonight. You probably think that you can then also jump ahead of us in the line for WWE Championship matches as well right?
R-Truth: I bet he does!
The Miz: Well Kofi, if you want to be in the big leagues, you’re gonna have to learn to hang with the big boys around here some time, right? So as far as that little challenge for next week you made earlier on goes; we accept.
R-Truth: You real' gone done it now, Kingston! You don’t know what kinds of pain we gon’ put you in dawg. Kofi Kingston, John Cena; next week, you gon’ get got!
The Miz: And that is awesome.
The Conspiracy Theorists then give a smirk to the camera, before walking off out of frame, and the camera then goes back to ringside.
Michael Cole: Well that match is now official for next week! We will see The Awesome Truth, The Miz and R-Truth taking on the team of Kofi Kingston and John Cena.
Jerry Lawler: Well we all saw what happened earlier tonight, and from that interview we just saw The Awesome Truth give, there is certainly some issues that need to be solved between these four men.
Michael Cole: Also, what about what we saw before the commercial break; Triple H taking the rest of the night off!
Jerry Lawler: I don’t think that was the smartest thing to do on the part of our COO.
*DEATH BLOW*
Back in the arena, there is little to no reaction for our tag team champions, David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty, as they walk out onto the stage, ready for their match up next.
Jerry Lawler: I think I might start calling these two ‘The Vaccum Boys’, because they just suck out any enjoyment from the arena.
Michael Cole: Shut up Jerry! These two are the tag team champions, and I think that they are the best team in the WWE today.
The champs get into the ring, and they face the back to see who their opponents are going to be.
*LA VITTORIA E MIA*
The crowd comes alive, as they realise that we will see some form of entertainment due to the entrance of Santino Marella, but he is standing at the top of the ramp without a partner? He does have a microphone though.
Santino Marella: Now, I know what you are all thinking, I do not have a tag team partenerrr...
McGillicutty leans on the ropes and shouts at Santino to get on with it.
Santino Marella: But, I am keeping him a surprise. I spoke to the COO
(Santino actually says ‘coo’ like a bird) Triple de H, and he said he would reinstate my tag team partner, as long as we took the WWE Tag Team Championships from you to...
boringos!
Both the tag team champions have their WTF faces on. Santino then smirks at them in a comedic/evil way.
Santino Marella: Ladies and Gentalmens, my tag Team Partner...
There is a wait, and everyone seems to be getting anxious.
Jerry Lawler: Who is it?
A little more waiting...
“JA PRINJOS TEBE BOL”
*PAIN*
There is a huge pop for the returning Vladimir Kozlov, as he marches onto the stage, and the reunited Odd Couple both make their way down the ramp, as the champions ready themselves in the ring.
Michael Cole: Kozlov?! I thought he was fired!
Jerry Lawler: You heard what Santino said, Triple H rehired him!
Match 5:
Non-Title Match
WWE Tag Team Champions David Otunga & Michael McGillicutty vs Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov
Santino and Vlad slide into the ring, and then McGillitunga jump onto them, and start giving them windmill blows to the head and back, but Kozlov manages to then get MCGillicutty off of him, and he pushes Mike away, but then McGillicutty charges at Vlad, but is caught in the chest with a huge boot that sends him flying across the ring! Kozlov then goes to help his partner, who had been pinned into the corner by Otunga. Vlad places a huge hand onto Dave’s shoulder, and then turns him around and rocking him with a couple of huge right hands, before disposing of him over the top rope! Santino then gets into the corner so the match can start with Kozlov and McGillicutty as the legal men.
Kozlov goes back over to the recovering McGillicutty, but is caught with a right hand to the face, and Mike tries whipping the big Russian across the ring, but Kozlov counters and then sends McGillicutty into the corner. Kozlov charges, but he is caught in the face with the boots of one half of the tag champs. McGillicutty then hops up onto the second rope and goes for a double axe handle on Kozlov, but he is caught with a huge headbutt to the chest! Mike drops to the mat hard, but Kozlov gets him back up quickly and places him up onto one shoulder, before driving him down to the canvas with a Running Powerslam! Kozlov goes down for the early cover, and he might actually have it!

Otunga breaks the count up!
The champions were on the brink of losing this match had it not been for the save. Otunga gets in what offence he can before the referee shepherds him out of the ring, but he did enough, as Kozlov was down long enough for Mike to go and make the tag. Otunga comes in and then goes for a clothesline, but Kozlov is back up and ducks it, before giving Otunga a huge boot into the chest, knocking him down as well! Kozlov then picks Otunga up and places him in the Odd Couple’s corner, and then tags Santino in for the first time in the match.
Marella comes in and then hits a couple of right hands in the corner onto his opponent, followed up by a knife edge chop
(WOOOO!). Santino takes a few steps back, and Kozlov then pushes Otunga towards his partner and Santino connects with a deep hip toss! Otunga gets back up, and then goes for a clothesline, but Santino ducks it with the splits, and then Otunga turns around into a Santino Stunner! Santino then dives on top of Otunga for the cover...

McGillicutty comes in this time to make the save!
Kozlov has had enough, and he then charges into the ring and clatters into McGillicutty with a huge battering ram head butt! The impact sends Mike tumbling out of the ring and Kozlov then follows him out. This leaves Santino standing in the ring, and Otunga getting to his feet. Santino then gives the crowd the look, and they give him a pop back, and he then extends the arm, and gets the Cobra ready to strike!
Santino goes for the Cobra! But Otunga dives down and rolls out of the ring! The tag champ then runs over to the timekeeper’s area and takes the Tag Team Championships! Otunga then sprints around the ring, and McGillicutty manages to get away from Kozlov, and the
Tag Team Champions are fleeing! The referee then starts the count, but the champions have no intention of returning from the ring, and want no part of Santino & Kozlov!
Winners: Santino Marella & Vladimir Kozlov via Count out (4.33)
*LA VITTORIA E MIA*
The crowd are happy with the result, but the victors don’t seem to be enjoying the nature of their victory, as they knew they would have probably gone on to win the match.
Jerry Lawler: What great Tag Team Champions we have! Is it not bad enough that these guys only represent not just Raw, but the entire WWE?
Michael Cole: They just weren’t ready! They weren’t expecting Kozlov to come out here; no one was, because he was meant to be fired...
Jerry Lawler: Well what would you say if they did that if the titles were on the line?
Michael Cole: I’d day that they would still be the champions, because the championships cannot change hands by count out! You idiot, Jerry!
Silence from Lawler.
Michael Cole: Ignoring my broadcast partner’s obvious stupidity, next up is the main event of the evening; CM Punk will get his rematch for the WWE Championship against Alberto Del Rio! Viva Del Rio!
*Commercial*
We return, and we see a shot of Michael Cole and King sitting at the announce table.
Michael Cole: Next up, is the main event, Alberto Del Rio will defend the WWE Championship against CM Punk, in a match that was arranged earlier tonight by the COO Triple H.
Jerry Lawler: I think the WWE Universe here in Richmond is ready to see that title change hands again!
Michael Cole: Well, we just have to think of the variables in this match. Alberto Del Rio has Ricardo Rodriguez in his corner, and what if Kevin Nash shows up again? We don’t know! No one had heard from Kevin Nash since last night! He might be in this arena!
Jerry Lawler: Maybe so, but would you just look at the celebration that we are going to have if Alberto Del Rio gets the win here! I’ve never seen so many balloons!
Michael Cole: Well we’ve all gotten to know Alberto Del Rio as a man that has all of life’s luxuries, so he isn’t going to be one to hold back on the celebrations.
*REALEZA*
The fans then let out a loud groan, as the WWE Champion, Alberto Del Rio, pulls up alongside the stage area, in the same luxury Bentley as earlier on, and Ricardo Rodriguez is sitting in the passenger seat with a microphone, and he does Del Rio’s introduction. Alberto doesn’t seem too pleased about having to defend the championship a night after winning it, but he then steps out of his car, and makes his way towards the ring.
Michael Cole: If I was Alberto Del Rio; I wouldn’t be too happy either. He won the championship last night and is already been made to defend it.
Jerry Lawler: That is part of being a champion; you have to be prepared to have to defend the title at any time.
Michael Cole: How would you know?
Whilst King sits in silence, and Cole laughs to himself, Del Rio is posing on the top rope with the championship. He then stands up there and waits for his opponent.
*CULT OF PERSONALITY*
The arena explodes in the largest pop of the night, as CM Punk comes out for the second time tonight, and he looks extremely focused. He crouches down and decrees that it is indeed ‘Clobberin’ Time!’ and starts to march down to the ring.
Michael Cole: Folks, expect a very technical match between these two competitors. These are two of the best in ring technicians in the WWE today, wouldn’t you agree King?
Jerry Lawler:....
Michael Cole: Still hurtin’, partner?
Punk gets into the ring, and then stares a hole right through Del Rio and Rodriguez. The referee then holds up the championship in the middle of the ring, as Rodriguez exits, leaving the two competitors to come in the middle as the bell rings.

WWE Champion Alberto Del Rio w/ Ricardo Rodriguez vs CM Punk
Del Rio decides to get right into Punk’s face and talk a bit of smack, but Punk just stands there and smiles. Del Rio starts to get a little flustered his trash talking isn’t having any effect on Punk, and then slaps him around the face! The fans boo, and Del Rio gives Punk a look as if to ask him if he will take him seriously now. CM Punk simply starts holding his cheek and laughing, which confuses Del Rio, but all confusion is gone when CM Punk rocks Del Rio in the back of the head with a huge kick! The fans are shocked that Punk almost won the match after less than a minute, and both men then get back to their feet and stare each other down once again. They go to lock up, and then Punk turns it into a side headlock, and then flips Del Rio over onto his back, and Del Rio has to scissor Punk’s head in order to escape from the hold, but Punk then bridges it over and turns it into another pin, but Del Rio is quick to roll his shoulders up this time. Both men then return to the standing facing each other position once more, and they then butt heads in the middle. But Del Rio quickly stops it with a kick to the mid section which doubles Punk over. Del Rio then angles a knee to the side of Punk’s head. Punk now sprawled on the canvas, Del Rio starts to target the arm, and then places both hands on the arm, jumps, and brings both knees right down onto Punk’s arm! Punk gives a cry of help, as Del Rio uses the arm to bring Punk up to his feet, and he then wrings it and turns the move into a hammerlock. Punk tries to manoeuvre himself out of the hold, and he then reaches behind with a couple of elbows to Del Rio’s head, causing Del Rio to lose his grip. Punk shakes his arm out, and then goes to follow up on Del Rio with a right hand to the head, and then whips him across the ring, and then knocks Del Rio down with a clothesline. Punk then stomps onto Del Rio’s chest and then goes through the ropes onto the ring apron. Punk slingshots himself over and goes for a flip senton splash, but Del Rio rolls out of the way, but Punk manages to roll through! Alberto kicks out!
Rodriguez seemed genuinely scared that the title might have gone already, but Del Rio manages to rolls the shoulder up. Punk then gets up with a smile on his face and then goes out onto the ring apron, and waits for the champion to get back to his feet. Del Rio then makes it back up to a vertical base and then turns around to see Punk flying through the air, hoping for a clothesline, but Alberto then counters with a dropkick right to the arm of Punk! Punk lands hard and then grabs his arm, but Del Rio then grabs him by the pull him up to his feet. Del Rio then wrings the arm, and takes Punk over to the ropes, and then wraps Punk’s arm around the top rope, and increasing the pressure, sending Punk into a world of pain! The referee, to his credit, is in there quickly to break it up. Del Rio argues, and so does Rodriguez from the outside. Del Rio then tries to go back tp Punk, but he is caught with a mule kick to the gut, and Punk then springboards off the ropes and connects with the clothesline! Both men are down as we head into our final commercial of the evening.

We return and Del Rio laughs and kicks Punk into a position so he is almost onto the ring apron. We see that during the break the champion hit the double knee backbreaker as a counter for a GTS attempt and then maintained control since that move. Del Rio then takes a few steps back and then goes to running slide tackle Punk out of the ring, but Punk grabs onto the middle rope and pulls himself up, leaving Del Rio to slide under the ropes and fall to the floor! Punk looks back and laughs at the champion, as he re enters the ring, and then charges across it, rebounding against the opposite ropes and coming back with a Suicide Dive through the ropes and straight into Del Rio! The fans give an appreciative pop, as Punk springs back up to his feet and shouts “COME ON”. In the corner of his eye, Punk manages to see Ricardo Rodriguez just before he was about to blindside him! Rodriguez then hightails it around the ring, but Punk gives chase and then catches up with him! Punk grabs him by the suit collar and then puts him up onto his shoulders... GO TO SLEEP ON RODRIGUEZ! The fans roar in approval, as Punk has taken out the perennial thorn in the side. Punk then walks around back to Del Rio, only to be met with an enziguiri to the back of the head! Punk then slouches against the ring post, but Del Rio then runs and kicks Punk’s head right into it! Del Rio then rolls into the ring and tells the referee to start counting Punk out.

Punk pounds the mat in frustration, as Del Rio is certainly showing the resolve of a champion. Punk the sits in the middle of the ring and tells shouts “Say Goodnight to baby Alberto!”, and he then springs up to his feet and waits on his opponent. Del Rio then gets up to one knee, very slowly, but Punk’s fuse has run out and he gets Del Rio up himself and then scoops him up onto his shoulders! The fans are in a fever pitch as Punk then tosses Del Rio into the air, but Del Rio grabs Punk’s arm and then brings it down with him, crashing it against his knees! Punk screams out in pain, but gets back up quickly, but then Alberto Del Rio locks in the Cross Armbreaker! The fans then groan, but then try to inspire Punk to fight on, and Punk then starts to edge himself towards the ropes, and he shuffles closer and closer... but then Del Rio tightens up the hold! Punk then wills himself onwards, and just manages to get his left foot on the bottom rope! The fans pop, as the referee comes over to break the hold, but Del Rio doesn’t let go until the referee’s count of four.
The fans are stunned by the performance of both men in this match, and Del Rio doesn’t seem to know what to do next, so he then gets Punk back up to his feet and puts him on his shoulders. The fans now start to shit all over Del Rio, as Rodriguez manages to stumble his way back into the ring, and he hugs his boss tightly. Kevin Nash smirks back towards the ring through the fans, as CM Punk still has not moved in the ring.
Michael Cole: Alberto Del Rio is still the WWE Champion!
Jerry Lawler: But it wouldn’t be for Kevin Nash interfering again. We need to find out why he has attacked CM Punk two nights in a row now!
Michael Cole: Hopefully we will get some answers sooner rather than later.
Del Rio is now on the top turnbuckle holding the championship in the air, and then the netting is removed, allowing all the balloons and confetti to fall from the rafters.
Michael Cole: Well it looks like the celebrations can now begin for Del Rio, but what state is CM Punk in? Goodnight, folks!
The show comes to an end with Alberto Del Rio standing on the top rope holding the WWE Championship above his head whilst the confetti comes down.
