Cole:Hello guys, and welcome to the 1001st episode of Monday Night RAW. Tonight we're live in Cincinnati, Ohio. I'm Michael Cole and I'm accompanied at commentery by Jerry "The King" Lawler. And what a fantastic 1000th episode we had last week, King!
Lawler:Yes Cole! Imagine Roddy Piper, The Rock, APA, Lita, Rikishi and many other legends in one single night! It's amazing!
Cole:You're right. But now you're gonna see a flashback with The Rock's big announce last week!
On the titantron there appear the moments when The Rock announces he will face the WWE Champion at Royal Rumble and when he Rock Bottoms Daniel Bryan.
"Cult of Personality" hits and CM Punk enters the arena accompanied by mixed reactions from the fans. CM Punk arrives in the ring and grabs a microphone.
CM Punk: Hi everybody! You missed me?
The crowed gives a mixed reaction
CM Punk: I guess everybody wants to find out the explanation of what I did last week. Let's see...
The moment when Big Show hits the WMD on Cena and Punk decides to cover the challenger appears on the titantron.
CM Punk: Well, as you see, there was a dark angel on one of my shoulders that was telling me: "Do it, cover him, the only thing which matters is the belt!" and on the other shoulder there was an angel that was telling me: "Don't do it, don't turn your back on the fans!". And obviously I did what the dark angel said, I don't give a f*ck about the fans, all I care abou is ME!
Punk receives some big boooes from the crowd.
CM Punk: Let's face it, you have to take advantage of any chance you have if you want to do something with your life. And now you boo me because you like to do things cleanly and that's the reason why you didn't do anything with your lives. YOU'RE LOSERS!
Again the crowd booes him as he gets more heat.
CM Punk: You didn't do anything with your lives and that's why you came here to watch someone like me who obviously did something with his life. And you boo me, because you don't understand that you have to take advantage of any chance you have instead of being clean. You expect heroes like Superman Cena and Iron Man Dwayne and Powerpuff Girl Sheamus. (the crowd reacts: Ohhhh!) (Punk laughs) You know, the Powerpuff Girl with red hair. (he takes a break for a few seconds and looks at the crowd) At the end of the show I gave The Rock a beating he'll never forget. I mean, who does he thinks he is? He has 1 match a year and demands a title shot at Royal Rumble? (laughs) In 1 single year I did more than he did in his entire career. (boos) And at the end of the night he tried to steal the show. But I didn't let him do this, because he didn't understand that I'm the WWE Champion and it's all about me. And I came there and stood tall at the end of the greatest RAW ever because I'm the best wrestler in the history of this company. (boos)
"My time is now" hits and CEna gets in the ring with a microphone.
Cena: Well, you certainly are the luckiest wrestler in the history of this company. Everybody saw I'm the better man and I should have won. Now I won't talk to much and say why I came here for. I want a title shot at Summerslam (mixed reaction)
CM Punk: And I want to be the president of the United States, but it's not possible. Even if I know I would win. Just listen to this people: "CM Punk for president!" (laughs) So you want another title shot. You think you deserve anything. Even if you lose you want another match, you're the most overrated athlete I've ever met and you don't deserve to be in the same ring with me.
Big Show's music hits.
Big Show: You're righy, Cena lost his chance. But don't forget Punk, you're standing with your belt on your shoulders because of me. You would have lost! But I came to save your ass. Punk, I want a match with you at Summerslam. What I need is that WWE Title!
CM Punk: What you need is some diet sodas, King Kong! ("Ohhh!" from the crowd).
The three look to start fighting, but AJ's music hits as she comes on the ramp.
AJ: John Cena, I'll give you another cahnce. But you have to win the #1 contender's match in the Main Event of tonight's RAW: John Cena vs...The Big Show (mixed reaction)...in a Steel Cage Match, again!...Oh, and Punk...stay in the ring, your match is next! (Punk looks angry)
Christian's entrance music hits as he gets in the ring
Match 1: CM Punk vs Christian
CM Punk takes control in the beggining of the match and takes Christian in a corner and hits 3 big chops on Captain Charisma. He then uses the Irish Whip to take Christian in the opposite corner. CM Punk looks for the Step-Up high knee, but Christian moves out of the way as Punk remains hung in the corner as Christian tries a Superplex, but Punk throws him from the top back in the ring and hits a Diving Crosbody, but Christian counters in a Pinning position and Punk kicks out at 1 and then kicks Christian in the back of the head. 1....2....Christian kicks out.
Punk continues to control the match with submission manuevres and hits a Powerslam but Christian kicks out at 2. Christian hits a Dropkick and looks to get momentum with an Inverted Tornado DDT, but CM Punk kicks him again in the back on the had and connects with the flying elbow from the top. Punk covers Christian, but Captaim Charisma kicks out at 2 and a half. Punk looks for the Anaconda Vise, but Christian doesn't let this happen and after both wrestlers try to gain control Christian plants Punk with an Inverted DDT, but CM Punk kicks out at 2.
Christian uses the Irish Whip to take Punk in a corner and tries a spear in the corner, but Punk gets out of the way and hitsthe running knee and then the Bulldog. He looks for the GTS but Christian gets behind CM Punk and tries a Killswitch, but CM Punk counters it in an Anaconda Vise and Christian taps out. CM Punk defeated Christian
Josh Mathews interviews The Miz at backstage.
Josh Mathews: Miz, congratulations, you won the Intercontinental Championship last week and successfully defended the title on Smackdown!. But now what's the future of this title?
The Miz: What's the future of this title? Christian used his rematch clause, so I won't defend it 'till next month.
Josh: Tonight you are facing World Heavyweight Champion Sheamus...
The Miz: Josh, I was the WWE Champion for 5 months, I main evented Wrestlemania XXVII and defeated John Cena, you think I can't beat Sheamus?
Josh:I didn't...
The Miz: Shut up! I will defeat Sheamus tonight like I defeated Christian 2 times, like I defeated Randy Orton, like I defeated John Cena because I'm The Miz AND I'MMMM.....(AJ comes and iterupts him)
AJ: Miz, I just came to tell you that actually you are defending the Intercontinental Title at Summerslam.(She leaves, as Miz looks very angry and worried)
Match 2: Brodus Clay vs Derrick Bateman
A very short match. Brodus Clay with a strong start..He hits a big clothesline and a powerslam and looks for a Body Slam, but Derrick Bateman escapes and hits a dropkick, but Brodus Clay is still standing on his feet. He goes into the ropes and try to do a running move on Brodus, but the Funkasaurus scores with the Headbutt and then hits the Running Splash. 1....2....3. Brodus Clay defeated Derrick Bateman
Brodus Clay starts to dance, but Damien Sandow gets in the ring at attacks the Funkasaurus from behind and then hits the Straight jacket neckbreaker.
A flashback from last week's RAW with Miz winning the Intorcontinental Championship.
Match 3: Sheamus vs The Miz
The Intercontinental Champion gets an advantage in the beggining of the match and now is attacking his opponent's left arm, after it has been attacked several times by Alberto del Rio in the last weeks. The Miz hits a Half Nelson Facebuster. 1...2...Sheamus kicks out.
The Miz is looking to finish it early with a Skull-Crushing Finale but Sheamus escapes and kicks Miz in the gut, and then powerslams him. 1....2...Miz kicks out, but Sheamus takes the initiative as he later hits the repeated forearm clubs on The Miz. As Miz stands on the apron, Sheamus tries to hit him with the Brogue Kick from the ring, but Miz moves out of the way, gets back in the ring and Clotheslines Sheamus, as both fall outside the ring. They exchange blows and Sheamus seems to be stronger. He then throws The Miz face first on the announce table. But The Miz raks the WHC's eyes and uses an Irish Whip to throw Sheamus left arm first into the steel steps, as Sheamus gets more pain.
After they get into the ring and The Miz attacks the left arm of Sheamus for about 2-3 minutes, The Miz goes into the ropes looking to hit Sheamus with a running Big Boot, but Sheamus hits the Fallaway Slam.
After they again exchange blows, Sheamus gets the initiative and hits the Inverted Facelock Backbreaker. 1....2....Miz kicks out. Sheamus is looking for the Brogue kick again, but Miz moves out of the way and gets Sheamus left arm first into the turnbuckle and then scores with the Awesome Clothesline and then hits the Neckbreaker. 1....2....Sheamus kicks out at 2 and a half. Miz looks for the Skull-Crushing Finale, but Sheamus tries to counter. The Miz gets a Roll-Up, but Sheamus kicks out again. Sheamus scores with the double axe handle, gets Miz on his shoulders, gets him in the position for White Noise and hits it. 1...2...3 Sheamus defeated The Miz, but Miz did a great job and dominated "The Great White".
Dolph Ziggler comes in the ring and looks to hit Sheamus with the briefcase, but Y2J gets into the ring and hits the Codebreaker. Sheamus scores with the Brogue Kick on Ziggler and Sheamus looks at Jericho like "I didn't expect you to save my ass, but thanks!".
Teddy Long's music hits as he comes with a microphone dancing and then says: "It is my pleasure to announce you the new General Manager of Friday Night Smackdown!,....Stephanie McMahon!". The crowd cheers and Stephanie music's hits, as she thanks the fans for the appreciation. Triple H comes, too, and kisses his wife.
Match 4: Prime Time Players vs The Usos
Darren Young and Jey Uso start the match as The Usos get an early advantage. They do several tags and do great team work on Young. Jimmy looks for the Full Nelson Bomb, but Young escapes and hits the Belly-to-Belly Suplex on his opponent and he and Titus O'Neil get the advantage. They dominate Jimmy and Titus O'Neil hits the Backbreaker. 1...2...Jimmy kicks out. Titus O'Neil tries another backbreaker, but Jimmy escapes and scores with a Superkick to the gut and a diving headbutt. O'Neil gets the tag and Jimmy as well, as the crowd cheers for The Usos and Jey dominates Darren Young and looks for the Superkick, but Young gets him on his shoulders, looking for the Gut Check. Kofi & R-Truth come to the ring, as Young gets distracted and Jey Uso gets the Roll-Up. 1....2....3. The Usos defeated The Prime Time Players
Josh Mathews is backstage with Alberto del Rio.
Josh: Alberto, ho you feel about your match tonight?
Alberto: Josh, I beat both Kane and Rey Mysterio last week, I'm way better than them. I hope Sheamus will watch the match so he will see what I'll do to him at Summerslam. It is my destiny to capture the World Heavyweight Title at the biggest PPV of the summer. I'm the best wrestler in this company, I don't even know why I'm talking with a loser like you. (Alberto del Rio walks away)
Match 5: Dolph Ziggler vs Tyson Kidd
A very intense match. No one seemed to dominate. Tyson Kidd got a good start as he hit an Enziguri and then a Spining hel kick. 1...Ziggler kicks out. Tyson Kidd looks for a Russian legsweep, but Ziggler counters fantasticly into a pin...1...2...Kidd kicks out. Ziggler hits a Dropkick, followed by a Jumping DDT. Kidd kicks out at 2 again. Ziggler tries to go for the Sleeper Hold, but Kidd throws him on the back and then connects with a Dropkick and tries to win with a Victory Roll, but Ziggler kicks out at 2 and then takes Tyson Kidd in the corner where he hits sime big chops and tries to gain momentum with some corner splashes.
Tyson Kidd escapes from a headlock and looks for the Sharpshooter but Ziggler gets out and later hits the Namedropper. He looks for the Zig Zag but Kidd escapes and hits the Swinging Neckbreaker, then locks Ziggler in the Dungeon Lock, but Ziggler manages to get a foot on the rope. Tyson Kidd gets on the top rope, but Ziggler gets up and hits a Sitout facebuster from the top and locks Kidd in the Sleeper hold, but again Kidd escapes and gets Ziggler in the corner and looks for a running Clothesline. Ziggler gets out of the way as Kidd hits the turnbuckle with his chest and Ziggler scores with the Zig Zag for the win.Dolph Ziggler defeated Tyson Kidd in an awesome match.
Match 6: Ryback vs Drew McIntyre
Typical squash match with Ryback winning with a Shell Shocked. Ryback defeated Drew McIntyre
"The Game" hits and Triple H gets into the ring.
Triple H: Well, last week Paul Heyman finally accepted my challenge for the match at Summerslam. (the crowd cheers for Triple H) I promise that at Summerslam I'll kick Brock Lesnar's ass so bad that he's never gonna return in a wrestling ring again. (cheers) And you know, I want to be sure that there's gonna be a winner. And I want a special match for Summerslam, not a Standard Match. ("Yes!" chants) But there's other things that I want to talk about. The reason why Heyman accepted the challenge was that Stephanie kicked his ass. (again a big positive reaction from the crowd) But Paul Heyman I want to tell another thing. If you insult or put your hands on any member of my family I'm gonna kick your ass myself. And you won't be even able to move. You see...
On the titantron there appears a live video from backstage, where Stephanie, the earlier announced Smackdown GM is laying on the floor without moving. Triple H looks to get out of the ring and go there, but Brock Lesnar's entrance music hits. Paul heyman comes on the ramp and a very furious Triple H looks as him as Brock Lesnar comes from the crowd with a sledghammer and attacks Triple H from behind, hitting him in the back of the head. He thenputs Triple H on his shoulders and hits a thunderous F5 and walks out of the ring, leaving Triple H laying on the ring. Paul Heyman gets a microphone.
Paul Heyman: First of all congratulations for Stephanie becoming the Smackdown GM. Yesterday I and Brock Lesnar won in court against Triple H and he has to pay us $10 000 000, which means you're gonna lose your houses and cars and you won't even have enough money for food. So Triple H, as you lay there I want to listen to my challenge and answer it next Monday. This is my proposal: If you win, you won't pay me anything. But if Brock Lesnar beats you, I will become the new Smackdown General Manager! Brock Lesnar's theme hits again as both he and heyman leave.
Match 7: Cody Rhodes & Alberto del Rio vs Kane & Rey Mysterio
The match starts with Cody Rhodes and Rey Mysterio in the ring. Cody rhodes and del rio make several tags and concentrate on attacking Mysterio's arm that was injured by Alberto del Rio last year. Mysterio finally manages to hit a Hrracanrana on del Rio and gets the tag. Kane is absolutely dominated in the ring as he hits the Sidewalk Slam on both opponents. However, Rhodes distracts the ref and del Rio hits a Low Blow, taking the initiative. He hits a Step-Up Enziguri. 1...Kane kicks out.
del Rio does several arm locks on both Kane and Mysterio during the match. del Rio and Rhodes dominate Mysterio, but Rey hits a Headscissors takedown on del Rio and both get the tags. Kane comes in the ring and powerslams Rhodes. del Rio gets in the ring buthe recives a Big Boot followed by a Backbreaker. Rhodes tries to hit some blows on The Big Red Monster, but Kane manages to hit a Running DDT on both his opponents at the same time. Mysterio comes into the ring and clotheslines del Rio, as both fall out of the ring. Kane uses the Irish Whip to get Rhodes in a cornar, but Rhodes gets out of the way as Kane hits the turnbuckles. Rhodes hits The Beautiful Disaster. 1....2....Kane kicks out at 2 and a half.
del Rio gets the tag and enters the ring as he tries to lock the Cross Armbreaker, but Kane doesn't let this happen and hits a Body Slam and then hits the Diving Clothesline from the top rope. he looks to Chokeslam del Rio, but Rhodes get into the ring only to get Chokeslamed. Kane tags Mysterio in the ring, but del Rio doesn't realize the tag was made as he hits the Step-Up Enziguri on Kane, but Mysterio gets him in position for 619 as he hits the move and then scores with the Angel Splash. 1....2....3. Kane & Rey Mysterio defeated Cody Rhodes & Alberto del Rio
Daniel Bryan's music hits and he gets into the ring and grabs a micriphone, as the crowd errupts in "No!" chants.
Daniel Bryan: Last week certainly wasn't my best week. I got Rock Bottomed because I said the truth. I really am th best of all time and that piece of trash is gelous of my success (boos). But that's not why I came here for. Last week AJ refused to marry me and it truely hurt me. I prepared the wedding to be perfect, I bought her a beautiful ring and that's why I get? ("Yes!" chants) But when she refused me I saw in her eyes something else. I saw love in her eyes. (boos) And you know what, I'm 100% percent sure rhat she stills love me. AJ, I've always loved you too. ("No!" chants) So AJ, it's still not late for you to change your mind. So AJ, if you want to marry me please come here RIGHT NOW!
AJ comes with a microphone and Bryan becomes very happy.
AJ: Daniel, I'm not here to marry you. I want to announce you that I've given Charlie Sheen the right to chose any superstar from the roster to face you at Summerslam!
Daniel Bryan starts to repeat obsesively "No!".
Match 8: Santino Marella vs Jack Swagger for the United States Championship
Short match where Swagger dominated the beggining of the match and Santino got a Punching combination ended with a forearm smash, then splits his leg and hits the hipp toss and drops the Salute Flying Headbutt. Santino hits the Cobra Strike for the win. Santino Marella defeated Jack Swagger to retain the United States Championship
Big Show is being interviewd at ringside by Matt Striker. He says that he'll beat Cena because now nobody will help Cena like it happened at No Way Out.
Match 9-Main Event: Big Show vs John Cena in a Steel Cage #1 contender's Match
Typical boring match between the 2, so I won't detail the match. Big Show dominated almost the entire match and Cena had several "hulk-ups".
After about 15 minutes Cena finally manages to score with the AA and looks to escape through the cage door, but CM Punk smashes the door in Cena's headand locks it. Big Show gets up and starts climbing the cage. Cena gets up and starts climbing the cage as well. As they both get out and start to climb down the cage, CM Punk hits both wrestlers with a steel chair, as they both fall at the same time on the outside of the ring. Big Show vs John Cena ended in a draw
CM Punk claims that as noone won the match he won't defend his title at Summerslam, but AJ comes.
AJ: CM Punk, let me correct you! I say that they're both winners, so the WWE Championship has now 2 #1 contenders. Therefore at Summerslam you'll defend your title against Big Show and John Cena in a Triple Threat Match (mixed reaction)
RAW ends as CM Punk is arguing with AJ.
