Is it worth having one? Have we ever had one? Lots of other forums have them, they appear to be quite popular.

Just one of my little thoughts.

I would like to see a Wrestling Multimedia section. The other wrestling forums I go to do have one and they are popular. I don't think W-E has ever had one, certainly since I've been here there hasn't.

I have tried uploading vid's but they take forever, and it get's quite depressing.

I'm not sure how many people would do it properly, but we do do these things quite well, Our E-Fed and our Graphics forum are very good.

Well, I've got plenty of wrestling multimedia. If I work out how/where etc to do it (no jokes about my technological n00bness, please :)) then I could post some of it. It would only work if others were willing to do the same, obviously.

http://www.koolpages.com/ http://www.freehomepages.com etc.

These sites will allow up to 50MB of space. However, you will need to put your media into a zip file when you upload it. Then when you post a link, people will have to right click to download the file.

This site is in Russian. Just enter a username, then the password twice, then a fake e-mail. Then you click the link on the next page and it will take you to their main page. Find the area towards the bottom right where you can enter your login info. Then you upload files using their manager. There is a 20MB limit, but you can upload larger files.

They allow up to 10 megs, but you can register for as many accounts as you want, and they are pretty fast up to this point.

This is the most commonly used free host, but it is very slow at times. They offer 50 megs.

Yah they do. We should make it so you have to ask permission in a sub forum to enter. You must say thanks everytime you download and not to leech. A post count requirement wouldn't hurt either.

Love the use of the word 'venture' in that context :)

Anyway I think that there should be some sort of Multimedia option on the Forum. Quite a good idea in my opinion.

No.

Posting WWE matches or links to matches is highly illegal. I won't stop individual posts like this, but a whole forum so people can do this is not going to happen. Posts can just go in their respective forum.

Yeah, I think we've had quite a few people propose a "wrestling media" forum before, and it was promptly shot down every time. I'd say no too, for the same reason Lee said no, and because....well, no one would use it properly, if at all. I believe someone once tried to convince Lee to make a wrestling media forum, and, to convince the person that it wouldn't work, he told them to make a thread for people to post their movies and such. No one posted. :) (If this never happened...then I don't know what I'm babbling about...)

It's like making a thread asking people to post their Yeti games. Good in theory but quite silly. :D

Flash says the Mutilmedia Forum does well on other sites. If it's been shot down before I can't see it be approved this time.

I appreciate the reasons for it being shot down before, and I also imagined that the idea would have been put forward before, but just thought it was worth raising the question. I accept that just because a certain other forum has a successful, busy media forum does not mean one would work here, as it would rely on people posting things.

I can't see the problem in having one personally, but if Lee don't want it, you ain't gettin' it.

I ALREADY SAID IT WAS ILLEGAL.

Kids. That'd be like me making a Playboy forum for the WOW section -- it just draws unwanted attention. People would be requesting PPV downloads, match downloads, etc. and that's not good. Besides, it just makes more forums and takes away from posts for their respective forum.
