We have had some maneuvers of our fave wrestlers which was completely destroyed due to poor execution by later wrestlers who picked it up.

For me, Spear was huge when Goldberg did it but Edge completely took out any credibility it had with his execution. The same goes for DDT which I feel was practically destroyed by everyone. Any other examples that comes to your mind?

I'll agree with you on Edge. Goldberg was built like a brick shithouse and is a former NFL player. His size and width made it look like the Spear would almost rip you in half. Another good Spear was Rhyno's Gore-Rhyno had ridiculously muscular thighs and was a shorter, but very big looking guy.

Edge was...lanky. Doesn't work.

Really not digging Punk's Macho Man Elbow, either. He makes it look sorta like a kid jumping off of a fence onto a mattress in his backyard, the way he flies through the air. Savage was so fluid, and a hundred times quicker too. And let's not forget that in today's 'safe' WWE they require the opponent to be parallel to Punk when they're lying on the mat, instead of perpendicular. Doesn't look nearly as good, and I hate when they fuck with things that were fine the way they were just because its perceived to be safer. Michaels and Savage did it the right way for years and it worked out, why the change?

Another grievous offender is the Attitude Adjustment. Its a *****, lame looking Death Valley Driver (Perry Saturn's finisher). When you see a DVD performed properly, it looks awesome. The AA looks ugly as sin.

Jobbers destroyed the DDT.

Cena destroyed the STF and Death Valley Driver.

Angle destroyed Angle Slam.

Jeff Hardy destroyed the Twist of Fate.

WWE destroyed the Flatliner.

WWE destroyed the Piledriver.

The Rock destroyed the Sharpshooter.

CM Punk destroyed Go 2 Sleep.

Tyler Reks destroyed the Burning Hammer.

Ezekiel Jackson destroyed Uranage.

Jack Swagger destroyed Doctor Bomb and Ankle Lock.

Edge destroyed Spear.

Edge made the Spear look like a running hug. It's hard to believe a guy like Big Show can use it as a mid match move and not get a instant 3 count out of it, but a much smaller man in Edge does.

Edge did ruin spear because it wasn't that believable and CM Punk destroyed go to sleep. He can't sell that one.

The Spear is ruined. That's for sure. Goldberg & Rhino would hit that and it was like cutting somebody in half. Then they give it to somebody like Edge who is built like Shawn Michaels and it doesn't look impressive at all.

I'll say this. I hate to disrespect a guy that died so tragically, but Owen Hart helped kill The Piledriver. Once he hurt Austin at Summerslam, it became more and more of a taboo thing to do to the point that nobody really does it anymore except for truly experienced veterans that know exactly what they are doing.
