if you guys are wondering what the casual fans, the marks if you will think of tonight the grandaddy of them all

Twitter is trending that it's a resounding success

I wouldn't be surprised if the buyrates easily surpass the 1 million mark

why is twitter so powerful you may ask? specifically, TRENDING? it gives you a glimpse on what the world is talking about.. everyone wants to trend on twitter because it's a direct pulse to the world and to the people

anyhows just sharing what's going on.. I know for smarks and whatnot this was a crap WM yabba dabba but to the rest of the world..

it was a resounding successful event

not sharing my opinion etc, just giving you guys an insight to the bigger picture, much much bigger picture

If you're defining success with buy-rates and profitability, yes it was. And since trending is just a factor of a subject's publicity and whether people are talking about it, sure, that too. Neither of those measures are inconsistent with what most of Wrestlemania's critical viewers are saying: that it was a bit awkward, lacking in drama, and not well planned.

A few more like these and the next Wrestlemania won't be profitable or trend well. That is the bigger picture.

I did say that as a given though, i said it was pertaining to the casuals, the marks, i was just sharing their perspective because by all signs tonight's Wrestlemania was an amazing event

and like I said, I wouldn't be surprised one bit if the buyrates exceed 1,000,000+ easily
IT WAS VERY GOOD AT IT'S ALL NOT GREAT ONE BUT STILL VERY GOOD ONE AND NUMBERS WILL SAY SO
I definitely enjoyed it, but only because I watched it for free. LOL
The point is that past performance played a role in whatever buy-rates this PPV put up. And this PPV's performance will play a role in the buy-rates for future ones. They need to be put on a quality product or their profitability will suffer. They're partially insulated because there is lag in the market (i.e., you couldn't evaluate the product until you had already purchased it but you'll take this into account next time).

The WWE wants to be profitable for the next 30 years. They're not interested in gaming a few extra sells if it gimps long-term prospects.
the match order could of done better but overall great show 8/10

I still don't get why this PPV would get 1 million PPV buys, yes it would be great to see The Rock at WM, but c'mon the build-up/match list was very, very weak especially for a WM.
WrestleMania was not a success. A success would mean lots of sales and a high rate of customer satisfaction. Lots of sales alone doesn't cut it, because they're not selling a single product here; they're trying to get repeat custom. If you sell something shit, people are less likely to buy next time. If you sell something good, people are more likely to buy next time. It's common sense.

I doubt customer satisfaction was that high. Trending on Twitter means people are aware of your product; it doesn't mean they like it. If it trends because everyone is calling it godawful, you weren't successful. All you can claim is that your failure was prominent and that's not a great thing.

You know, I don't even think WrestleMania 28's buyrates are going to drop because of this one being so poor/average/unremarkable. I think WrestleMania is always going to be a huge draw now regardless, as long as there are still people who watch wrestling. It's too well-established and, every year, they build it up as being the biggest night of the year. It'll still sell because there's always that possibility of excellence.

What I expect is that it will have killed the faith of a large number of people who paid for it though. And those people most likely won't pay for any questionable cards until Royal Rumble because if WrestleMania couldn't turn into something decent, how is Bragging Rights or Capitol Punishment or Over The Limit going to turn into something good? People won't risk it, and those buyrates will yet again come out looking terrible. A bad WrestleMania can't kill WrestleMania; it can kill the other less important PPVs though.
