Undertaker is arguably the most respected WWE Superstar of all time. Wrestlers all around the world respect that guy. Not once have we had a controversial issue about Undertaker. Not once have we had wrestlers hating on Undertaker.

So when the time comes, would Undertaker's commitment to WWE, Undertaker's respect and legendary career outshine Hogan's carrying of the company behind his back in the 80s?

Yes. Hopefully he really does break character for that speech. I wonder how WWE will go about doing that though. transitioning his character from a deadman to a normal man. Even the current Last Outlaw Taker wouldn't seem normal enough to have an acceptance speech.

He doesn't even deserve to be in the highly rated WWE HOF.
Trollin' bro. Trollin'.

I think it will be bigger yes. But saying he's done more for the WWE than Hogan is saying water makes you fat. UNTRUE

Hogan may have done more, but Taker never left once he became Undertaker. That is probably why WWE will make a bigger deal out of Taker's.

I think it will be bigger just down to the fact that he was THE man in WWE for such a long period of time and never left them, not even when they were closed to being knocked off their perch in the mid-90s.

it's a tough one... on the one hand in his hey-day hogan was much bigger and more important than taker has ever been... but he left, and is a dick. Taker has been steadily at the top or near the top his whole career and has stayed loyal. I'd hope they give him as much of a send-off as they would anyone else, and I know that when he retires at next year's mania, I'll probably cry haha.

When people think of WWF/E they think of Hulk Hogan. Way more people associate wrestling with Hulk Hogan and not The Undertaker. Plus, the WWE was way more popular and cutting edge in 2005, when Hogan was inducted. WWE sucks now and it really isn't what it used to be. A lot of people over the age of 15 do not watch the product or take it seriously. WWE is at an all time low. They can make a big as they want about Undertaker. The fact of the matter is, generally when ANYONE talks about wrestling, they always know The Hulkster.

It will be one of the biggest no doubt... but bigger than Hogan? It's just not possible. It'll be bigger than anyone else's induction in WWE right now though, except maybe Cena, but that's still a long time away.

His induction will be massive, if only for the fact that he would presumeably break character to be inducted. That in itself is pretty big and will probably end up being bigger than Hulk Hogans.

Taker doing more for the WWE than Hogan may be true, depending on your perspective.

Hogan has twice worked for the competition and twice failed to beat the WWE. If Hogan had had his way with WCW he would have driven Mcmahon out of business.

Taker and HBK stood by Mcmahon when WCW were sure to be offering big money deals to leave. I think its fair to say modern day WWE owes more to Taker than Hogan.

The WWE wouldnt have been so successfull in the 80s without Hogan, but Hogan left his full time permanent position at Wrestlemania 8. Thats 19 years ago.

A company may owe a debt to the person who started it (Hogan) but they also owe an equal debt to the people who have stood by the company and kept it going when Hogan decided to leave and try to drive the WWE out of business.
