This is one of my first threads so be nice haha.

One of things I have noticed that a lot of people complain about is a lack of mid card story lines and lack of direction. And I feel like this is something that people miss from the attitude era more then the "hardcore" "blood" and chair shots.

Now as shitty as TNA has been, and i dont wanna turn this into a TNA sucks or a TNA vs WWE thread. But I feel like with the short TV time that TNA has, they have done a lot with this middle card, by introducing the Bound For Glory Series.

I feel like this is something that WWE should do, or maybe even a mix of this and the old school King of The Ring, (we almost had the birth of a great heel with regal in a few years past dont remember the exact date) . This will give the mid card something to do, and give meaning to matches that normally people have no interest in.

What do you all think? Could something like this work in WWE i know that it's usually TNA that copies WWE but maybe this is something WWE can steal.

I'd be all for a tournament of some kind. It allows for more exposure for less known talent, unique matches and of course the winner will get a big rub.

Do you think that WWE was planning a 1 year and half later face turn and push, but first get him to job?
The King of the ring did nothing for Sheamus. He is on top now because he got re pushed, it's not same push.

Already said this a couple of times, any kind of long time tournament would give so many more possibilities for matches we haven't seen yet. Face/face and Heel/heel without the stupid WWE-OCD-turns or stupid ilogical "plots" that just get dropped next week, just because ONE MUST be a face

The BFG series are a great idea, they make every random match seem important. Dunno how WWE could replicate it without coming across as a copycat though.

Most likely they'll book the tournament brackets so that every match is Face/Heel.

I think the best thing it would do, is it would make the writers job easier. "forgetting" about storylines what matter as much anymore. Because most matches will have a basic plot. (that beginning the series/tourny)

I would like to have a King of the Ring Tournament. There could be some kind of pre tournament Battle royal or Tag team turmoil match to determine seedings, but in order to make it last they would have to have like 64 entrants, or else it will be done in three weeks, with 5 matches at a PPV to finish it off.
I think the King of the Ring tournament could be like a 16-20 man, every man meets in a match, tournament, where the top 8 are all re-ranked according to wins, and basically the tourney resets and ends with the Champion getting a title match of his choice.
