By this, I mean I would like the women's division to be able to interact with men a lot more often. More often than not, whenever a female faces a male it's portrayed as an impossible scenario, and any man who loses to a woman is portrayed as a pansy for doing so. Of course this hardly happens. What I would like is for more intergender wrestling to happen.

Change the women's division up so there is less emphasis on pretty bodies and more on in-ring ability. I'm not asking to let them win the World title (though that would make HISTORY), just break into the men's division and promote a bit of gender equality (though without hitting the viewers over the head with it).

I feel this, in a business where everything has been done, would allow for more angles and draw a new demographic in women, instead of just making them a waste of time sideshow that nobody cares about.

What do you think?

Men hitting women. Best idea ever.

In all seriousness, the odd time that a man and woman do get into an altercation, the camera is moved away. I don't think WWE needs to push this.

While I'm not so keen on having the women regularly going up against the guys, I do believe the women's division is suffering in part because it is far removed from the guys' dealings. Even the female valets to male superstars rarely get involved in the match anymore. For example, Maryse and Ted in past eras would have gone two ways--either Maryse aids Ted to win a title or go over someone big via distraction or physical involvement and Ted parades around like a conquering hero (think Edge and Lita or Stephanie and Hunter); or Maryse helps Ted win a title and Ted helps Maryse win a title (think Stephanie and HHH w/DX). Nowadays WWE is so afraid of everything that the women end up not interacting with the rest of the roster the way they used to.

But the current WWE Divas and the WWE's recruitment policies are both very useful and marketable. They get a few women who can really go (and look hot), and a few that are pretty and have personality and don't mind learning to take a few bumps.

Back then it would sell. Remember when Lita used to do a Hurricanrana off the top rope on guys?

You're never going to see that in this generation. Girls can't even be pushed without overselling it like it's the worst pain imaginable.

Remember when she tried to do that to Eddie off the apron and he caught then powerbombed her on to outside. Shit looked all sorts of painful.

fpalm No.

Michael Cole has already buried the divas division. Sure, what the hell, let's put Lay-Cool in a tag team match against John Cena and Randy Orton.

To be honest, I would mark the fuck out.

It'd be a fun mic battle at the very least

I'm even down for intergender promo cutting! I would love to see LayCool come down and just break a male superstar down.

"Real Talk! John, you talk about how we can't see you. Well, we can see you, and you are not flawless."

Ratings would go through the roof!

Actually, LayCool and Cena are on the same level comedically... that could work quite well. They could actually be used as a vehicle to get Ziggler over further

I wouldn't want to see that happen.
1 reason for Divas and 1 reason only - Eye candy. Any athletic abilities they may have are secondary, with rare exceptions like Chyna.
Letting them mix it up more with men would just distract from an already weak product line, would not be believable, and would incite negative controversy that the WWE does not need.
I do think they should introduce a behemoth Diva into the mix, a 400 pounder, just for the sake of variety & laughs.

Depending on who you used, Melina, Beth, Gail and Natayla each have something that could make them beat male wrestlers and fans would buy it.

Melina is a well rounded performer that honestly should be in the male division because she is such a talent.

Beth is a technically sound powerhouse, plus she was the first female wrestler at her HS, so that's pretty cool.

Gail is a high flier, Evan Bourne versus Gail Kim could be great matches. They're around the same size anyway.

Natayla is a fantastic technical talent and IMO the most talented of the Hart Dynasty.

Hell, McCool gets enough heat and isn't that awful in the ring.

It's all about getting the right talent, if they choose the wrong girl to base their division on, it'll bomb spectacularly, but yeah, it could work and it could sell.

You're breaking character. Go back home to Rants.
