Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

So this is my first show back and I haven’t been a part of the BTB section or the forum at all for awhile now but I got the urge to get back into BTB a few days ago so I thought I’d get it another shot. I won’t be doing full shows because this is really just for fun, I don’t really care if anyone reads or reviews. I just don’t have time to do full shows. Anyways, here’s my first show back, enjoy if anyone reads.

Monday Night Raw | January 31st, 2011

A recap of the Royal Rumble is shown, where The Miz with the help of Alex Riley managed to overcome Randy Orton and retain the WWE Title. Also, Christian is shown throwing CM Punk over the top rope to win the first ever 40 man Royal Rumble match, thus earning himself a title match at Wrestlemania against either the WWE Champion or the World champion.

*Opening Video*

*Pyro*

The first Monday Night Raw on the Road to Wrestlemania begins with Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcoming to viewers to the show and talking about the Royal Rumble and it’s results along with the potential aftershock of the Rumble. They mention that The Miz is scheduled to start the show.

*I Came To Play*

The Miz comes out with Alex Riley and gloats about retaining his title at the Royal Rumble against Randy Orton. Miz says that he told everyone exactly what he’d do and he did it. Miz says that Randy’s first mistake was doubting him and that all of the WWE Universe and the WWE locker room better pay attention and not make the same mistake as Randy.

*My Time Is Now*

John Cena interrupts the WWE Champion and says that he is sick and tired of listening to The Miz go on and on about how awesome he is, blah, blah, blah. Cena says that The Miz didn’t beat Randy Orton, Alex Riley, a briefcase and The Miz did and Cena says that he thinks its about time someone shuts the Miz up and he says he’d be glad to do it.

*Voices*

Randy Orton comes out and says that he doesn’t know what Cena is trying to do but it’s obvious to him that he should get another WWE Title match since he was screwed in his last one. Cena says that that is true but he also says that it’s true that Randy has had like a million title matches against The Miz. The Miz says that neither of them deserve to face him. The anonymous general manager chimes in and Michael Cole announces on his behalf that Randy Orton and John Cena will team up to face The Miz and Alex Riley later tonight and whoever gets the pinfall between Cena and Orton will become the number one contender for The Miz’s title at Elimination Chamber. Michael Cole also says however that if The Miz’s team wins, neither Cena or Orton will become the number one contender and The Miz will be able to choose his opponent for Elimination Chamber. None of the four men look very happy about the general managers decision.

Commercial Break

Match 1: Daniel Bryan defeated Sheamus in a fairly long match that Sheamus dominated most of with his power and size. Bryan mounted some offence at some key points which kept him in the match but Sheamus was often too much to handle. Daniel didn’t beat Sheamus until Sheamus went for the Brogue Kick but Daniel ducked it and rolled Sheamus up for a quick pin.

Backstage we see John Cena is getting ready for the main event when Randy Orton comes in. Randy says that he and Cena might be partners tonight on paper but he says that they aren’t really so he won’t hesitate to RKO Cena if it means he’ll get to get the pin. Cena says that he knows and that he’ll be watching his back. He tells Orton to remember though, if Miz and Riley win, neither him or Orton get a title match and Cena says that he’d like to make sure that doesn’t happen and he thinks Orton would too.

Commercial Break

When we come back from the break we go backstage where Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater, the new WWE Tag team champions are seen walking when they bump into CM Punk and the Nexus. Punk smirks when he sees the former Nexus members and neither Gabriel or Slater say anything. Punk says that he doesn’t appreciate abandoners and they better watch their backs. Punk and Nexus continue on their way.

Match 2: Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater defeated Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov in a WWE tag title rematch. This match didn’t get a whole lot of time, with Gabriel and Slater making short work of the unlikely team of Kozlov and Marella. Gabriel got the pin on Santino after a 450 Splash. After the match Nexus came out and tried to catch Slater and Gabriel but they escaped so Mason beat down Kozlov and Santino while the rest of Nexus ran after Slater and Gabriel. The tag champs ran out to the parking lot where Wade Barrett and Ezekiel Jackson were waiting. The two teams of four have a stare down and then Punk tells Nexus to back down, which put a cocky little smile on the leader of The Empire, Wade Barrett.

Commercial Break

Backstage The Miz and Alex Riley are preparing for their big tag team match later tonight. Miz is telling Alex how much they need to win this match, that his WWE Title reign hinders on which team wins this match tonight. Miz says that they need to win at all costs. Riley says that he understands and he’ll do everything it takes.

Match 3: John Morrison defeated Ted DiBiase in an average match. Morrison dominated most of the match, showing off his athletic ability and his unique style. Morrison got the pinfall after he hit the Starship Pain. Maryse didn’t look too impressed with her man afterwards.

Commercial Break

Backstage Natalya is with David Hart Smith when Tyson Kidd and Jackson Andrews walk in. Tyson freaks out that David is there and says that Natalya tricked him. Natalya pleads with Tyson just to hear her out. Natalya says that they’re family and they need to stick together and they’ve been together since they were kids. Tyson says that David isn’t family and he isn’t real Hart. David says that he’s more of a Hart then Tyson is. Natalya pleads with them to stop and she says that she got them a match tonight as a team against the Uso’s and says that she wants them to give it one more shot. Tyson says no at first but Natalya begs him and he finally agrees. After a brief stare down between Tyson and David, they make their way towards the ring.

Match 4: The Hart Dynasty defeated The Uso’s in a decently long match. The Hart’s didn’t work very well together at first but after a little while, they started to mesh together again and they got back to what made them successful as a team before and they even won the match with The Hart Attack. After the match Jackson Andrews went to attack David Hart Smith but Tyson stopped him before he could. David and Jackson looked confused but Tyson didn‘t say anything, he just went to the back.

Commercial Break

Main Event: John Cena and Randy Orton defeated The Miz and Alex Riley after a match which wasn’t too long for a main event. Miz hid behind Riley most of the match, not allowing Cena and Orton to get their hands on him too much. This would eventually backfire when Cena would make Riley tap out to the STF while Orton was beating down Miz on the outside. Orton looked pretty angry when he noticed what happened and so did The Miz while Cena on the other hand couldn’t have been happier, having earned himself a WWE Title match at Elimination Chamber. The show went off the air with Cena celebrating.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

Friday Night Smackdown | February 4th, 2011

Matt Striker, Michael Cole and Josh Mathews welcome us to the show and inform us that the winner of the biggest Royal Rumble in WWE history, Christian, will be opening the show!

*Just Close Your Eyes*

Christian opens the show talking about winning the Royal Rumble and how he’s going to fulfill his life long dream of not only main eventing Wrestlemania, but also becoming a world champion orrrr WWE Champion. Christian reminds everyone that he has a huge choice to make and he hasn’t quite decided which title he’s going after yet. Christian then says that he has some other things to take care of before he decides and the first thing he has to take care of is Alberto Del Rio, the man who took him out. Christian says that he’s already spoken to the WWE Board of directors since the current general manager Vickie Guerrero was too busy stuffing her face to give him an answer and the board made the match, it’ll be Christian vs. Alberto Del Rio tonight in the main event!

*End Of Days*

The Empire comes out and Wade Barrett says that Christian is pathetic and him winning the Royal Rumble was a complete fluke and Alberto Del Rio will prove that tonight, just like he would if he was facing Christian. Barrett says that he should have won the Rumble and he would have if he’d known ahead of time that Christian was going to be in the match. Barrett says that’s in the past now though and all he can do, is change the future. Before Christian knows it he’s beating beat down by Barrett, Gabriel, Slater and Jackson. Christian puts up a fight for the first few seconds but there are just too many of them.

*Metalingus*

Christian’s brother, the world heavyweight champion, Edge, runs to the ring with a steel chair in hand! Barrett, Gabriel and Slater get out of there but Jackson isn’t backing down from anyone. Edge nails Jackson in the head but he doesn’t fall, he hits him a second time and Ezekiel Jackson still doesn’t go down and Edge goes to hit him a third time but Wade Barrett, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel pull Big Zeke out of the ring before Edge can inflict anymore damage. Edge tells them to come back to the ring and see what happens but Barrett and The Empire aren’t stupid and they back off. Edge helps his brother up and Christian looks thankful.

Match 1: Kofi Kinston defeated Cody Rhodes after a match that got a decent amount of time for two mid-carders. Kofi picked up the victory with the Trouble In Paradise kick.

Backstage. Kane is in a dark room, staring at a mirror shaking back and forth. He’s muttering something to himself about “him” coming back. Kane says that he can feel “him” and his power is returning. Kane says that he thought he destroyed him! Kane starts flipping out and smashes the mirror! Kane keeps screaming that he destroyed him!

Somewhere else backstage Drew McIntyre is talking to Kelly Kelly. Drew is still trying to get a date with her but she once again shuts him down. Drew doesn’t look too happy and after a moment he corners Kelly and starts screaming at her that she doesn’t deserve him anyways. Drew walks away and Kelly is pretty shaken up.

Match 2: Michelle McCool and Layla defeated Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn when Michelle and Layla took advantage of Kaitlyn's lack of experiance and managed to keep her from tagging Beth for almost the entire match.

Backstage Christian and Edge are talking and Christian thanks Edge for helping him out out there. Edge tells him that he’s his brother, no thank you is necessary. Edge says it’s good to see Christian back and he knew Christian had it in him. Christian says he knew it to but he just needed the right opportunity. Edge says that he wants Christian to know that if he decides to go after the world title at Wrestlemania, he won’t take it personally.

Match 3: Dolph Ziggler defeated Chris Masters in somewhat of a squash match with the Sleeper Hold, which Ziggler snapped in after spinning out of a Master Lock attempt. After the match Vickie Guerrero said that Dolph might not have won the world title at the Royal Rumble but she still couldn’t be prouder of him. She said that Dolph put Edge in his place whether Edge wants to admit it or not. Vickie said that Dolph is more of a man then Edge ever was and Dolph is the best lover she’s ever had.

*Booyaka 619*

Rey Mysterio comes out and says that Vickie is disgusting. Rey says that him and her used to be great friends, their kids would play together and of course he loved her husband, Eddie Guerrero like a brother. Rey says that Vickie isn’t even the same person anymore. Vickie says that ever since she’s shown up in the WWE Rey has been on her case. Vickie says that she is sick of Rey judging her and she says that he needs to mind his own business. Rey says that maybe he should but maybe he shouldn’t. Dolph gets on the mic and gets in Rey’s face and says that Rey should definitely mind his own business, or he’ll regret it. Rey asks Dolph what he’s going to do and Dolph goes to hit him but stops and gets out of the ring and walks to the back with Vickie.

Match 4: Rey Mysterio defeated Jack Swagger in any even match that went for nearly 10 minutes. Rey eventually got the victory after kicking Jack Swagger off of the Ankle Lock and into the second rope, where Rey hit the 619. After the match Dolph Ziggler came out again and beat down Rey, throwing him into the steel steps and applying the Sleeper Hold until Rey wasn't moving.

Backstage Alberto Del Rio walks into Vickie Guerrero’s office, without knocking of course. Alberto says that Vickie needs to do something about his match against Christian. Vickie says that she‘s already tried but there‘s nothing to do, she can‘t change the match. Alberto Del Rio is furious but he has nothing left to say and storms off.

Main Event: Christian defeated Alberto Del Rio with the Killswitch but after the match, The Empire came out and attacked Christian again and once again Edge ran out with a chair but this time, The Empire overwhelmed him too and they ended up beating down Edge and Christian with the help of Alberto Del Rio. It wasn't looking good for Edge and Christian but Kofi Kingston came out to help the brothers out but that still wasn't enough and the tides of battle were not turned until Big Show made his way to the ring. Big Show nailed Del Rio with a knockout punch and helped Edge, Christian and Kofi clear the ring of The Empire. Wade Barrett was losing it because every time he’s tried to take Christian out, someone has stuck their nose in his business. To show went off the air with Barrett screaming at Edge, Kofi and Big Show to mind their own business.

NXT Results

Match 1: Chris Masters defeated Byron Saxton

Match 2: Daniel Bryan defeated Derrick Bateman
This is what Daniel called a “hands on lesson” for his rookie

Match 3: Johnny Curtis and R-Truth defeated Brodus Clay and Ted DiBiase

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

Man, I actually really like this. I kind of prefer recap from time to time because it's an easier read and you still get all the important details in. The booking so far has been solid and interesting. Hope you keep with this. :)

Don't have time to leave a full review, but your first two shows look pretty good and Edge and Christian potentially teaming together against The Empire is something I'm very interested in. Good luck with the rest of the thread, and I'll try to leave some feedback in the future.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

Monday Night Raw | February 7th, 2011

The show opens with Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcoming us to this weeks edition of Monday Night Raw! They talk about last week where John Cena scored the pinfall in the tag match with Randy Orton against The Miz and Alex Riley to become the #1 Contender for the WWE Title at Elimintion Chamber. They also say that there will be Elimination Chamber match qualifiers tonight to find out who will compete in the WWE Title #1 Contenders Elimination Chamber match.

Match 1: Elimination Chamber Qualifier: CM Punk defeats Daniel Bryan
Before the match the anonymous general manager announced that Nexus were banned from ringside. But Sheamus ended up coming out and costing Bryan the match.

Backstage Alex Riley is getting prepared for his match later tonight. The Miz is getting him psyched up, telling him that this match is his, he has to win this match, he says that Randy Orton can not get into the Elimination Chamber match. Miz says its perfect, Riley wins the Elimination Chamber and they face each other for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania. Riley says that he won’t let Miz down.

Match 2: Elimination Chamber Qualifier: Randy Orton defeated Alex Riley
The Miz tried to get involved but Cena came out and stopped Miz from getting causing any problems.

Backstage CM Punk is with the Nexus and he is telling them that a golden opportunity has been laid in front of them. Punk says that he is already in the Elimination Chamber and David Otunga and Mason Ryan have qualifying matches later tonight. He says that if they all get in, it’s a sure thing, the bigger picture will be fulfilled. Punk says that it’s only a matter of time now.

Match 3: Elimination Chamber Qualifier: Mason Ryan defeated The Great Khali

The Miz comes out and is furious about earlier tonight when Cena attacked him. Miz, with Alex Riley by his side, gets right to the point and calls out John Cena. Miz says that he is sick of Cena sticking his nose where he doesn’t belong, so he is going to break it.

*My Time Is Now*

Cena comes out and makes his way to the ring. Cena starts talking but Miz cuts him off and tells him to shut his mouth and he doesn’t want to hear any of Cena’s stupid juvenile jokes. Cena says that he sees how it is, Miz wants a fight. Miz says that rights and it’s on, Miz and Riley double team Cena and it ends up with Miz giving Cena the Skull Crushing Finale on the WWE Title.

Match 4: Elimination Chamber Qualifier: Mark Henry defeated David Otunga

Backstage John Cena is still shaken from the Skull Crushing Finale on the WWE Title but he’s on a mission and looking or Miz and Riley. Cena spots Miz and chases him down but Riley attacks Cena from behind and the double team beat down is on again. Miz once again comes out on top, this time throwing Cena into a brick wall, shoulder first.

Somewhere else backstage, David Hart Smith comes into Tyson Kidd’s locker room. David says that he knows that him and Tyson have said some things and did some things they regret but he says last week, they worked together just like old times and showed everyone why they used to be the best tag team around and why they can be again. DH says that he doesn’t know about Tyson, but he thinks they could be on top again and he says it would really make Natalya happy. Tyson doesn’t say anything at first and DH thinks that he’s just ignoring him so he goes to walk away but Tyson speaks up and says that DH is right. Tyson puts his hand out and Tyson and DH shake hands, formally re-forming The Hart Dynasty.

Match 5: Elimination Chamber Qualifier: Ted DiBiase defeated R-Truth

Backstage Miz and Riley are celebrating beating down John Cena, not once, but twice in one night. Miz says that as if it wasn’t before, it is now a sure thing that he will be walking away from Elimination Chamber, STILL the WWE Champion. Riley says that he never had a doubt in his mind. Miz says that no one should have because he’s the Miz and he’s AWESOME!

Main Event: Elimination chamber qualifier: John Morrison defeated Sheamus when Sheamus tried to use a chair but Daniel Bryan came out, took the chair and hit Sheamus. John Morrison is celebrating as the show goes off the air.

Elimination Chamber Card
WWE Title Match: The Miz© vs. John Cena
WWE Title #1 Contenders Match: Randy Orton vs. Ted DiBiase vs. John Morrison vs. CM Punk vs. Mason Ryan vs. Mark Henry

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

These recaps are a very welcome, refreshing read. Even with such small detail things are shaping up nicely. I'm not too sure about how you so casually reformed The Hart Dynasty but that's not a big deal at all. Anyway I'll be keeping an eye on this since it's so easy to follow.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

Okay, I've been taking a look at your first page here, and I actually really like what you're doing, which I didn't think I would because it's recaps. But I'm surprisingly intrigued. So here's a short recap of your first show.

First up, your Royal Rumble results:

Miz defeating Orton was okay, and it made it realistic that you mentioned the fact that Riley helped.

Edge defeating Ziggler was exactly how it should be, but I would actually have loved to see the full description of this match :)

Slater and Gabriel winning back the tag titles, now as a part of what you call The Empire, was okay. I would have liked to see the build-up though :)

Natalya defeating Melina was good, but maybe Melina gets a rematch??

Christian winning the Rumble is in my opinion a bad move. Don't like it at all. Mostly because he's not even near Royal
Rumble Winner-status, and we didn't get to know which entrance number he had... Was he number 1?? Number 20?? Number 40?? But also because it's kinda obvious now that Edge will stay champion until WrestleMania, and that Christian will face him.

Raw - January 31st:

The Miz/Cena/Orton segement sounded good. The match sounds okay, and should be interesting to see if Orton or Cena can get the win, or if they ruin it for each other. Either way, my prediction would already be that it will be a Triple threat at Mania for the WWE Championship.

Daniel Bryan defeating Sheamus was good. Mostly because you pointed out that it was a role up out of nowhere, which means that he didn't make him submit.

Good and realistic segment backstage between Orton and Cena. Could see it happening in my head :)
I don't know if Slater and Gabriel would ever just walk backstage on RAW without the rest of The Empire, especially with Nexus there.

Slater and Gabriel defeating Kozlov and Santino was good, and I really liked the segment after the match. And I guess Barrett and Ezekiel was there afterall... Good job :)

Okay segment with Natalya, Tyson and DH Smith, but kinda weird that Natalya has chosen to book them in a tag match together.
Hart Dynasty beating Uso's was surprising but interesting, and I guess this means that you're gonna bring them back together someway down the line.

I liked the main event, because it makes sense that Miz would hide behind Riley... It makes sense that Orton would be so eager to get his hands on the Miz after his loss at Royal Rumble, that he wouldn't pay attention to Cena. Cena getting the win for them and becoming #1 Contender only makes me even more sure that at WrestleMania it will be Miz as WWE Champion against both Orton and Cena.

SmackDown - February 4th:

I liked the opening segment with Christian saying that he's already gone above Vickie to the Board to assure that he gets Del Rio in the ring. The Empire coming out was okay, and the best of it was that now I know that they aren't like The Corre. They're a group with a leader, and that leader is Barrett. And they're clearly heel. So beating down Christian was good for them, and Edge coming out puts the whole thing in perspective. But I don't quite know what to think of The Emipre being involved here, because I think it's two early for them to be beaten on SmackDown, and if they get involved here and Christian really ends up chosing to face Edge at Mania, then Empire needs to be on the loosing end to make the WrestleMania main event look better. Interesting to see which way you go here... I still think that Edge and Christian will co-operate against The Empire and then face each other in a match filled with respect at Mania. So perhaps a tag match with Edge and Christian teaming up against two members of The Empire is coming up soon??

Kof defeating Rhodes was good.

The segment with Kane was okay, and seems like Taker will return for Mania.

The segment with Kelly Kelly and McIntyre can be seen going two ways. Either she likes the fact that he chose to do what he did, or else this means that you're closing that storyline.

LayCool winning was okay, but what I liked most about this match was the fact that you had Kaitlyn in a match. Didn't matter much to me that she didn't win, but I hope she will get a win soon.

I really liked the segment backstage with Edge and Christian. Another segment I could see happen in my head. Realistic.

Ziggler winning was obvious, but I really don't like the fact that he squashed Masters. I think Masters should get a push towards the Intercontinental Championship, so sad to see this. Really well described segement between Rey, Vickie and Ziggler, and it only made it better.

Mysterio defeating Swagger was good, and good that you didn't make Swagger look weak. Ziggler attacking Rey after the match was a good way to answer Rey's question about what he was going to do about it... I hope to see them both in the Elimination Chamber.

Del Rio trying to get out of the match with Christian was believable. He'll probably do anything to get the match ended quickly with a DQ or being counted out.

I guess not... Christian defeating Del Rio is good for the build up to Mania. The aftermatch was good. Don't know what Kofi was doing out there, but Big Show was understandable. I guess they all want to make their presense known as we get closer and closer to the Elimination Chamber pay-per view.

RAW - February 7th:

I don't know what to think about the #1 Contender's Elimination Chamber. If there's only going to be one on the RAW side, it kinda reveals even more that Christian will chose the World Heavyweight Championship. If there's gonna be a #1 Contender chamber from both shows, then I hope the contender to the title Christian chooses will get his opportunity before Mania. (Would find it pretty funny if Orton qualifies for the #1 Contender's chamber, wins it, beats Miz before Mania and then have Christian choose him, or choose to face Cena, putting Miz out of Mania) :p

Punk defeating Bryan without the help of Nexus, but with the inteference of Sheamus, was okay. Punk's going to the Chamber, and Sheamus and Bryan will probably feud for the United States Championship.

Believable segment with Miz and Riley. Miz psycing Riley up, but obviously Riley will lose.

Orton beating Riley was obvious. I like Riley, but sadly he has the role of a jobber. Great that Cena stopped Miz from getting involved.

Good segement with Nexus, that made the readers aware of the matches scheduled for tonight.

Mason Ryan winning was good, but Khali?? Since when is he back?? And Ryan defeated him clean without any help??

Okay segment with Miz calling out Cena. But either your description lacked something, or you just made either Cena look weak or Miz look strong, because you only wrote that Miz and Riley double teamed Cena. Nothing about Cena fighting back or anything. It's in my believe that Cena should be able to fight them off... Especially when he was fully aware of what would happen, and not attacked from behind or anything.

Henry defeating Otunga was actually great. Didn't see it coming, and "The World's Strongest Man" in the Chamber sounds exciting :)

Another beat down for Cena at the hands of Miz and Riley?? Hmm... I know that Riley attacked from behind this time, but this in my opinion makes Cena look awful weak.

Don't know what to say about The Hart Dynasty re-forming. I like the team, but I don't know if I maybe feel it happened to quickly. It makes Tyson's heel turn pointless.

DiBiase defeating Truth was okay I guess, but for him to go into the Chamber is a poor call in my opinion. Don't like it at all. He's FAR from Elimination Chamber material.

This match and outcome I predicted in my mind earlier in the show, when Sheamus cost Bryan his match. But that doesn't make it a bad thing. And Morrison in the chamber sounds exciting and good.

Elimination Chamber card:

Miz vs. Cena sounds okay, and the way you've build it up so far still makes me believe that Cena will take the title.

Orton will win, and the order of eliminations should in my opinion be DiBiase first, then Henry, then probably Morrison, then either Ryan or Punk and then the last one of them.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

Friday Night Smackdown | February 11th, 2011

The Empire open the show and Wade Barrett goes off on Edge, Big Show and Kofi Kingston for their interference last week. He says that The Empire does is their business and Edge, Show and Kofi had no reason to insert themselves into the situation.

*Metalingus*

The world heavyweight champion, Edge comes out. Edge says that he does have a reason for what he did last week, a few reasons actually. Edge says that he was on Raw when The Nexus were at their peak, he says that he saw what they could do and he fought them, Edge says that he isn’t going to let The Empire become that powerful. Edge also says that Christian is his brother and they may not have always seen eye to eye but he’s got his brothers back. Edge says and lastly, he is the world heavyweight champion and if anyone wants to try to take over Smackdown, they’ll have to go through him. Wade Barrett says that The Empire would be more then happy to go through Edge and anyone else who stands in their way.

*Just Close Your Eyes*

Christian comes out and stands alongside Edge, showing that The Empire will have to go through him.

*S.O.S*

Kofi Kingston comes out and stands in line with Edge and Christian, standing up to The Empire. The Big Show is shown on the big screen, making his way to the ring, when out of no where, Alberto Del Rio nails him in the back with a steel chair! Del Rio proceeds to beat Show down with the chair. No one else seems to be coming out, so Edge, Christian and Kofi make their way to the ring, ready for a fight. It’s four-on-three but Edge, Christian and Kofi are matching The Empire when all of a sudden, Michael Tarver charges the ring and aids The Empire in the brawl. Five-on-three is just too much, even for three of Smackdown’s top stars. It isn’t long before The Empire and Tarver are beating down the world champion, the winner of the Royal Rumble and the Intercontinental Champion. All members of The Empire hit their finishers on Christian before The Four of them, along with Michael Tarver stand in a line with their hands held high.

Match 1: Kaitlyn w/Beth Phoenix defeats Rosa Mendes after hitting the Reverse STO

Backstage Kane is going crazy, running around screaming that “He is coming back”. Kane is smashing things and hitting random backstage workers. Vickie Guerrero, the interim general manager and Dolph Ziggler arrive on the scene and Vickie tries to calm Kane down and ask what he wants. Kane simply tells Vickie that he is coming back! Vickie asks who is coming back. Kane says he is! Kane says that he needs to leave Smackdown, only then will he be safe! Vickie seems confused and asks what Kane means. Kane demands he be sent to Raw! Vickie declines at first but Kane grabs Dolph Ziggler around the throat and starts choking him until Vickie agrees to his demands! She says that Kane will be sent to Monday Night Raw immediately. Kane calms down and releases his grip on Dolph’s throat.

Match 2: Chris Masters defeats Chavo Guerrero with the Master Lock

Backstage The Empire is with Michael Tarver. Wade congratulates his group on their success tonight. He also mentions that Michael Tarver has now become the newest member of The Empire! Barrett ensures Tarver that as part of The Empire, he will be brought to new heights, heights that The Nexus could have never reached.

Match 3: Jack Swagger defeats JTG with the Ankle Lock

Backstage The Big Show is being interviewed by Todd Grisham. Show tells Grisham that he doesn’t know why Alberto attacked him, but he isn’t going to get away with it. Show says that Alberto seriously messed with the wrong giant. Alberto Del Rio’s personal ring announcer, Ricardo Rodriguez walks up and tells Big Show that Alberto did what he did because of Big Show’s heinous attack on Alberto last week. Show asks Ricardo what he’s talking about. Ricardo says that last week Big Show snuck up on Alberto and hit him with the knock out punch for no good reason. Show says that he’s 500 pounds, he couldn’t sneak up on someone if he tried. Show says he’ll show Ricardo exactly what Alberto saw coming last week, and Show NAILS Ricardo with the knockout punch! Vickie Guerrero walks up and says that she has decided to make Big Show vs. Alberto Del Rio at Elimination Chamber! Big Show looks pretty happy about Vickie’s decision.

Match 4: Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel defeat Finlay and Hornswoggle when Justin hits the 450 splash on Finlay
After the match, Edge and Christian come out and attack Slater and Gabriel. Big Zeke, Michael Tarver and Wade Barrett charge and team up on Edge and Christian. Kofi Kingston comes out once again but before he can get involved, Vickie Guerrero comes out. Vickie announces that at Elimination Chamber, Edge and Christian will team up to face Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel for the WWE Tag Titles and Ezekiel Jackson will face Kofi Kingston for the Intercontinental Title. Vickie also announces that later tonight, Edge, Christian and Kofi will team up against Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson and Michael Tarver in a six man tag match.

Vickie Guerrero is backstage when Rey Mysterio walks up. Rey says that last week, Dolph’s attack was uncalled for. Rey says that he doesn’t know what Vickie’s problem is, but he saw them as family once and he wishes he could get back to that. Vickie says that they were never family and they never will be. Vickie says that Rey is a pathetic little man who needs to be put in his place and Dolph Ziggler is just the man to do that. Vickie says that Dolph WILL do that at Elimination Chamber when Rey takes on Dolph one-on-one. Rey says that’s cool with him. Dolph comes out of no where all of a sudden and jumps Rey from behind! Dolph starts beating Rey down and leaves Rey in a heap before walking off with Vickie.

Main Event: Wade Barrett, Ezekiel Jackson and Michael Tarver w/Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel defeat Edge, Christian and Kofi Kingston when Barrett hit the Wasteland on Kofi while Slater and Gabriel distracted Edge and Christian
The show went off the air with The Empire celebrating a huge victory over three of Smackdown's biggest stars.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

Monday Night Raw | February 14th, 2011

The show opens with John Cena coming out and saying that last week, The Miz got the best of him, twice, he’ll give him that, but it isn’t going to happen again and at Elimination Chamber, Cena will get payback when he takes the WWE Title from The Miz.

*I Came To Play*

The Miz comes out and says that Cena is making some pretty bold statements for someone who’s injured. Miz says that he’s not only going to beat Cena and prove him wrong at Elimination Chamber but he’s going to humiliate him! Alex Riley comes in from behind Cena and tries to attack him but Cena ends up putting Riley in the STF! Miz decides not to come to the ring and help his protégée. The anonymous general manager announces that John Cena will face Alex Riley tonight and one of Cena’s arms will be tied behind his back!

Match 1: Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov defeat The Uso’s when Santino hit Jey Uso with The Cobra.

Backstage Kane is rocking back and forth and muttering to himself that “he is coming” still. Ted DiBiase walks by with Maryse. Ted says he isn’t a loser now, is he? Ted says that he has a chance to go to the main event of Wrestlemania and win the WWE Title! Maryse says that she’s proud of Ted and he really impressed her last week. All of a sudden Kane grabs Ted around the throat, he tosses Ted into a wall and continues to assault him. Ted tries to fight Kane off and get away but Kane just grabs him around the throat again but this time he gives Ted a HUGE chokeslam through a table! Security shows up and pulls Kane away from the wounded DiBiase.

Somewhere else backstage Daniel Bryan is walking with his girlfriend, Gail Kim. Sheamus walks up and Daniel puts Gail behind him, to protect her. Daniel asks what Sheamus wants. Sheamus tells Daniel that he doesn’t have to be afraid, he isn’t going to snap Bryan’s neck, like he should, well, at least not yet. Sheamus says that he just wanted to tell Daniel that they have a match against each other at Elimination Chamber. Sheamus says that Daniel is going to regret ever meeting him when he’s done with Bryan.

Match 2: Melina defeats Maryse, Gail Kim and Tamina to become the #1 Contender to the Diva’s Title at Elimination Chamber

At ringside the anonymous general manager delivers a message, which Michael Cole reads aloud to the crowd. Cole says that Ted DiBiase sustained injuries at the hands of Kane earlier tonight and due to these injuries, Ted DiBiase will not be able to compete tonight or at Elimination Chamber so he is out of the Elimination Chamber match! The anonymous general manager also announces that Kane has taken his place in the match! And his third and final announcement is that later tonight, the six elimination chamber match competitors will be in the same ring in a six man tag match when CM Punk, Mason Ryan and Kane team up against John Morrison, Mark Henry and Randy Orton!

Backstage The Nexus are preparing for Punk and Mason’s six man tag match. Punk pulls Otunga aside and expresses his disappointment in Otunga for losing last week. David says that he won’t let it happen again. Punk says that he better not, because The New Nexus will not tolerate failure. Punk returns to addressing the group and says that it has begun, the bigger picture is soon to be fulfilled.

Match 3: CM Punk, Mason Ryan and Kane defeat Randy Orton, John Morrison and Mark Henry when CM Punk hit the GTS on John Morrison
After the match, Nexus starts to attack Kane, Orton, Morrison and Henry but the four men manage to fend Nexus off. Punk backs down and leaves the rest of Nexus to get disposed of by Orton, Morrison, Henry and Kane. After The Nexus is gone, the four men break down into a brawl of their own. It isn’t over until Kane is the last man standing.

Backstage The Hart Dynasty is talking. Tyson apologizes for everything he did to DH and David says it’s in the past now, and he’s just focused on winning the tag titles again. Natalya says that’s what she likes to hear. Natalya tells them next week they have a match and she wants to see them dominate. Tyson tells Natalya not to worry about them, he says that she has enough on her plate and they know what they have to do.

Main Event: John Cena (With one arm tied behind his back) defeats Alex Riley
After the match, The Miz hit’s the Skull Crushing Finale on Cena.

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

Friday Night Smackdown | February 18th, 2011

The show opens with The Empire making their way to the ring, now with five members after the addition of Michael Tarver to the group last week. Wade Barrett says Elimination Chamber is going to be a glorious night for The Empire. Barrett proclaims that at Elimination Chamber, Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel will defeat Edge and Christian to retain the tag titles and Ezekiel Jackson will beat Kofi Kingston to bring the Intercontinental Title to The Empire. Wade says that Edge and Christian are seen as one of the greatest teams of all time, but he says the only reason they ever achieved the success they did was because The Empire wasn’t there to put them in their place.

*Just Close Your Eyes*

Christian comes out and tells Barrett to please shut up! Christian says that Edge and Christian became one of the greatest tag teams of all time because they were different, they were revolutionary! Christian says “that’s more then I can say for The Four Horsemen, oops, Evolution, oops I meant, The Nexus, crap, well you get the point, you guys are nothing new.” Barrett says that they are new and they are different because unlike all of those groups, The Empire will always stand tall. Barrett says all of those groups have faded away and broken but The Empire is different and The Empire is all powerful. Christian says that he can see what Barrett is saying but he wants Barrett to prove it. Christian says that Barrett and The Empire have been going after him ever since he returned and he doesn’t know why and he doesn’t care why, all he cares about is shutting The Empire down. Christian says he plans to do that tonight because Vickie Guerrero made a match earlier, it will be Christian vs. Wade Barrett later tonight! Christian says that the way to destroy an Empire is to get rid of its leader. The Empire looks furious and their anger just puts a smile on Captain Charisma’s face.

*Commercial Break*

Backstage Vickie Guerrero is in her office with Dolph Ziggler. Vickie is on the phone and she says that of course she wouldn’t have just given Kane to Raw. She says that the board needs to give her some credit because she got THREE Superstars in return for Kane! Vickie says bye to whoever she’s talking to and hangs up. Vickie says that now that that is taken care of, they need to start planning for Elimination Chamber and Dolph’s match against Rey Mysterio.

Match 1: William Regal and Skip Sheffield defeat Finlay and Hornswoggle
The announcers mentioned that Regal and Sheffield are two of the Superstars Vickie received for Kane and they are also Smackdown's newest tag team!

*Commercial Break*

Backstage Beth Phoenix and Kaitlyn are getting ready. Beth says that Kaitlyn has really improved in the last few weeks and Kaitlyn thanks Beth for helping her out. Beth says that tonight is a big test for her though because she’s taking on the former Diva’s Champion, Layla. Kaitlyn says she’ll do her best.

Match 2: Kaitlyn w/Beth Phoenix defeats Layla w/Michelle McCool

*Commercial Break*

Rey Mysterio comes out to the ring. Rey says that the last two weeks Dolph has attacked him from behind. Rey says that he wants Dolph to be a man, come out here and stand face to face with him. Dolph comes out and stands at the ramp. He says that he couldn’t STAND face to face with Rey if he tried, he says that Rey is nothing but a masked oompa-loompa and he’s going to embarrass him at Elimination Chamber. Rey asks why they should wait for Elimination Chamber, Rey says that he wants Dolph right now! Dolph says that they’ll wait because he says so and Vickie Guerrero says so. Dolph tells Rey not to rush to his embarrassment. But Dolph says that if Rey wants a match, he can have one, but not against him, but against the third man that Vickie received in the trade for Kane…The Great Khali!

Match 3: Rey Mysterio defeated The Great Khali by DQ
Dolph Ziggler got involved when Rey started to build too much momentum. Dolph tried to beat Rey down after the match but Rey got the upper hand and Dolph bailed.

*Commercial Break*

Backstage Big Show is walking around when Alberto Del Rio walks up to him. Alberto says that Big Show is a sad, sad man. Alberto says that Show attacked a defenceless Ricardo Rodriguez last week and the week before, he attacked him from behind. Alberto says that he’s going to take great pleasure in breaking Show’s arm at Elimination Chamber. Show says “Good luck with that.” Big Show’s cockiness seems to get under Alberto’s skin as Alberto nearly hits Show but he just walks away instead. Big Show keeps walking but all of a sudden, Alberto attacks Show from behind! Alberto starts stomping on his arm and kicking it and punching it, trying to weaken it up for their match at Elimination Chamber.

Match 4: Jack Swagger defeats Chris Masters by Submission with the Ankle Lock

*Commercial Break*

Ezekiel Jackson walks up to Kofi Kingston. Jackson says that Kofi should be afraid because he’s never faced anyone like him before. Zeke says that he doesn’t need The Empire to beat Kofi and take his title and that’s exactly what he’s going to do at Elimination Chamber, beat Kofi and take his title. Kofi says that better men then Zeke have tried. Zeke gets right in Kofi’s face but Edge shows up and Zeke backs down. Kofi and Edge walk away together.

Main Event: Christian w/Edge and Kofi defeated Wade Barrett w/The Empire
After the match, Edge speared Heath Slater, Christian hit the Killswitch on Justin Gabriel and Kofi hit the Trouble In Paradise on Zeke. Barrett was already down and Michael Tarver was made short work of. Kofi, Edge and Christian stood tall with just two nights before Elimination Chamber!

NXT Results
Brodus Clay w/Alberto Del Rio defeated Johnny Curtis w/R-Truth

Derrick Bateman and Daniel Bryan defeated Byron Saxton and Dolph Ziggler

Byron Saxton was eliminated, leaving only Curtis, Clay and Bateman.

Elimination Chamber Card

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN REVIEW

I know it's not nice to start with a negative, but I've gotta say I'm really not a fan of BTB's done in this format. I know others are but for me it's just too brief. So bear in mind my opinion may be skewed because of this feeling. Oh well, let's get on with the show!

The opening segment is fairly solid, it builds on the feud nicely. It was surprising not to see an appearance from Edge or any of the other members of The Empire (or if they are there, then they should've had some mic time.). Nevertheless, I am very glad you're making Edge & Christian equal partners, just like they were back in the day. So please keep that up! A well-written segment.

"Vickie says bye to whoever she is talking to" Now I don't know if this was just a fault of the wording or because it's just a very flippant lack of explanation, but that really put me off this bit. It would've been so simple to just put "the board of directors" or something like that. It would give the BTB a more sophisiticated and well-rounded feel to even out rough edges like this.

The other bit of exposition in this scene is also the main reason why I hate this format. "Vickie says that now that that is taken care of, they need to start planning for Elimination Chamber and Dolph’s match against Rey Mysterio." It just seems a little lazy. When recapping things like this, there's no need to get into the mindset of characters, or adopt their speaking style, or even detail their mannerisms. It makes it harder to keep my interest because there's so much I'm having to fill in with my imagination between the dots.

I'm glad to see Sheffield and Regal as a tag team. They worked well together on NXT and you could get some great comedy value out of them in promos, be they heel or face. A little disappointed to see Finlay just appear back in ordinary competition like this but I guess he's never been much of a big deal IRL, so you're just keeping to that. I just like him is all.

Wow, Kaitlyn pinned Layla? Shouldn't you make a bigger deal of this? Kaitlyn's a rookie and, as you say, Layla was the Women's Champion. Glad she's getting a push though.

Now this promo I did like. You captured Ziggler well, traded some good insults with Mysterio and hotted the feud up a little. The match with Great Khali is good too, and you're using him well. Alot of people (myself included when I did a BTB) are tempted just to release Khali to save them the trouble, so good on you for trying to make something of him. Props to that!

This Del Rio/Show feud seems a little weak on substance. I'm not a fan of any feud that's just about faces and heels trading blows, and it needs to be made a little more personal. Once again though, I'm glad you're utilising someone who is often ignored (Big Show) and more than that, using him as a giant in the way he should be.

As for the main event, you seem to be pushing Kofi Kingston solidly and well. Adding him into this feud with The Empire will do wonders for him as it puts him in with Edge & Christian, who are obviously over. This is very well done and I'm glad it's Kofi in this position. The Empire couldn't have seemed less dominant by the way you worded that last bit though, what do you think this is, Raw circa 2009? "Faces Standing Tall" finishes should be avoided when at all possible. Especially as the go home to a PPV! 11-Year-Old marks aren't gonna want to see a PPV if the night before it the faces have all got their revenge already!

So in conclusion, concise, well done, but due to the awful format it sort-of falls flat. BIG angles and exciting scenes are needed if you're going to be so brief with descriptions. Nevertheless, a few things captured my interest and I'll be making sure to tune in to the Elimination Chamber.

Keep it up!

Re: World Wrestling Entertainment: Royal Rumble 2011

WWE Elimination Chamber | February 20th, 2011

Intercontinental Championship
Kofi Kingston© vs. Ezekiel Jackson

Jackson really showed off his power in this match, tossing Kofi around the ring like a rag doll. Kofi did manage to hold his own though, using his speed and high flying ability to his advantage. When Zeke got his hands on Kofi though, it wasn’t pretty. Zeke hammered Kingston with a barrage of devastating power manoeuvres and at one point Zeke looked like he was almost playing with Kofi, making him pay for sticking his nose in The Empire’s business. Kingston nearly picked up the win at one point when he caught Zeke with a Trouble In Paradise out of nowhere but the move hit Zeke so hard that it knocked him right out of the ring. By the time Kofi got the massive body of Jackson in the ring, Zeke was all rested up. Zeke would eventually hit the Book of Ezekiel on Kofi which gave him the victory and the Intercontinental Title.

Winner and NEW Intercontinental Champion: Ezekiel Jackson

Backstage Alberto Del Rio got interviewed by Todd Grisham. Alberto said that he wasn’t afraid of Big Show and if anything, Big Show should be afraid of him. Del Rio says that he is going to make Show pay for putting his fat pithy hands on him.

Alberto Del Rio vs. Big Show

This was truly a battle of brains versus brawns. Show used his weight to his advantage in this match and tried to make Del Rio pay for his attacks. Del Rio on the other hand pinpointed a weakness on The Giant and attacked it relentlessly, in this case, it was Show’s arm. Del Rio tore the arm apart in this match, in an attempt to not only keep Show from using the Chokeslam and the Knockout Punch to their full potential but also to prepare it for the cross arm breaker . Big Show still put up a fight though, hitting Alberto with his good hand and with his feet. Whenever Show would start to get some wind under his sails though, Del Rio would simply strike the bad arm and that would stop Show in his tracks. At one point, Del Rio and Show were fighting on the outside, Show had Del Rio reeling and Show went to hit Del Rio with a clothesline but Del Rio moved and Show hit his bad arm off the steel post. Del Rio would then put the arm up against the steel post and kick the arm several times. Near the end of the match, Show fought through the pain and lifted Alberto up for a chokeslam but Del Rio hit the arm until Show set him down. Alberto viciously attack the arm of Show until The Giant was down to his knees. Alberto then locked in the Cross Arm Breaker! Show fought as hard as he could but Del Rio managed to force Show to tap out!

Winner: Alberto Del Rio

After the match, Del Rio decided he wasn’t quite done. Alberto grabbed a chair and went back into the ring, he put the chair around the arm of Big Show and stomped on it several times! Show screamed in agony but couldn’t do anything to stop Alberto Del Rio! Before leaving, Del Rio put the Cross Arm Breaker in once again, smiled and walked away, leaving The World’s Largest Athlete broken.

Backstage Kane was still losing his mind like he has been for the past few weeks. Kane said that “He is coming!” and then said that he was coming tomorrow night! Kane said that he thought he escaped but he couldn’t escape! Kane lost it and started hitting random people backstage with uppercuts and big boots.

Rey Mysterio vs. Dolph Ziggler w/Vickie Guerrero

Dolph and Rey tore the house down in this match, matching each other at every turn and countering each others big moves several times. They always had an answer for each others attempts at victory. Dolph went for the Sleeper Hold and Zig Zag several times but Rey found a way out every time. Rey also went for the 619 on multiple occasions but Dolph always got out of the way at the last moment. At one point it looked like Rey was going to build momentum at put Dolph away but Vickie distracted the referee just long enough for Dolph to hit a low blow on Rey, which put Dolph in control of the match for a few minutes. Dolph started to get frustrated when he couldn’t put Rey away, even after hitting a Zig-Zag. This frustration would cost Dolph as he would get caught on the second rope, waiting for a 619. Rey went for the 619 but Vickie Guerrero got on the apron and got in the way of it, taking the 619 for her boyfriend. Rey looked very concerned and apologetic for Vickie and when Rey was yelling at her “Are you okay?!” Dolph managed to roll Rey up for the win.

Winner: Dolph Ziggler

After the match, Dolph ran away before Rey could get his hands on him, leaving Vickie Guerrero. Vickie had to get help to the back from the referee. Rey Mysterio kept apologizing to Vickie and telling her he didn’t mean to. Vickie was very out of it and didn’t respond to Rey.

Backstage The Empire was in their locker room preparing for their remaining matches and celebrating Ezekiel Jackson’s title win. Barrett told The Empire that Jackson bringing the Intercontinental Title to The Empire was a good start but they need to keep going, he says that tonight Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel have to beat Edge and Christian. Barrett says that they all know that the more titles The Empire holds, the better.

Sheamus vs. United States Champion Daniel Bryan

Sheamus dominated the majority of this match with his superior size and strength. Bryan would start to build momentum several times with his superior wrestling ability but Sheamus would shut Bryan down with a powerful impact move. Sheamus really unloaded in Bryan in this match, making it known to everyone that Daniel’s win wasn’t much more then a fluke. Sheamus hit the brogue kick twice and the Irish curse which basically destroyed Daniel and left him defenceless. By the end of the match Sheamus was basically toying with the US Champion. Sheamus looked to shut Bryan down once and for all with the Celtic Cross but Daniel slipped down behind Sheamus and nearly picked up another roll up victory but Sheamus kicked out. Sheamus would eventually hit the Celtic Cross to get the victory.

Winner: Sheamus

Sheamus wasn’t quite done yet though as he got out of the ring and grabbed a chair. He looked to give Daniel Bryan yet another Celtic Cross but onto a chair. Before Sheamus could hit the devastating manoeuvre however…

*The Game*

Triple H made his long awaited return and went after the man that took him out, Sheamus. The crowd was going nuts as Triple H took Sheamus down and started beating the hell out of him. Sheamus managed to push Hunter off of him though and roll out of the ring. Sheamus ran down the ramp as Hunter yelled at him to get back in the ring.

Backstage Christian was preparing for the tag title match when Edge came in. Edge said that he knows Christian might end up facing him at Wrestlemania and he said that he knows he has a reputation for taking opportunities when they arise but Edge told Christian that tonight, he doesn’t have to worry about him because he’s got Christian’s back. Christian told Edge that that means a lot and he said tonight, they would become 8 time tag champions.

WWE Tag Team Championships
The Empire (Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel)© vs. World Heavyweight Champion Edge and Christian

This match was mainly dominated by the more experienced team of Edge and Christian, who managed to keep each other fresh throughout most of the match. About three quarters of the way through the match however, the champions started to isolate the world heavyweight champion, Edge, from tagging in Christian. Slater and Gabriel laid a beating on The Rated-R Superstar for a good five minutes, tagging in and out themselves as to not get tired while also performing high impact double team moves on The Ultimate Opportunist. Edge finally started to build some momentum when the crowd started to get rowdy and that pumped him up. Edge managed to battle against The Empire’s Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel and he held them off just long enough to make a tag to his brother, Christian. Christian came in and took the champs apart, hitting them fast and hard from every direction. It looked like Christian would pick up the win for his team and yet another tag title reign but Slater’s and Gabriel’s Empire brethren made the way to the ring. Wade Barrett distracted Christian and the referee just long enough for Ezekiel Jackson to take Christian down from behind with a massive clothesline, all while David Otunga and Heath Slater attacked Edge on the outside. Before the ref knew what was happening, Otunga and Jackson were gone. Gabriel then hit the 450 Splash on Christian to pick up the victory and retain the tag titles.

Winners and still WWE Tag Team Champions: The Empire (Heath Slater and Justin Gabriel)

Backstage The Miz was interviewed by Todd Grisham. The Miz told Todd that tonight, he’s going to prove to everyone that he has a right to be champion. Miz said that he beat Orton but that just wasn’t enough for people. Miz said after tonight he would have beaten the two “golden boys” of Monday Night Raw and he would be the face of Raw and the WWE after tonight.

WWE Championship
The Miz© vs. John Cena

Miz showed what he was worth in this match and proved a lot of doubters wrong as he held his own against the best in the business. Not only did Miz hold his own against Cena, but he managed to basically dominate three quarters of the match. Cena would not give up however and that frustrated Miz later in the match. Cena even managed to kick out of a Skull Crushing Finale but Miz also managed to kick out a surprise Attitude Adjustment near the end of the match. Miz also had it in him to make it to the bottom rope and not tap out when he was in the STF, which Cena had locked in for a good minute. The tides of battle looked like they were really starting to turn towards Cena near the end but Alex Riley would not let Miz lose while he had anything to say about it. Riley got on the apron and tried to distract the ref or Cena, anyone, just to give Miz the advantage but Cena knocked Riley off the apron but Miz almost capitalized with another Skull Crushing Finale but Cena countered it into the Attitude Adjustment for the victory!

Winner and NEW WWE Champion: John Cena

After the match, Cena celebrated his win, going up on each turnbuckle with the WWE Championship and celebrating for a good few minutes. When The Miz came to he was not very happy and he had to have Alex Riley help him to the back.

Backstage The Nexus was preparing for the Elimination Chamber match, in which Punk and Mason Ryan would compete. Punk told The Nexus that they need to have faith tonight. Punk said that as if it wasn’t certain he’d win before, Mason Ryan is in the match too. Punk said that they would destroy anyone in their way tonight and he would go on to Wrestlemania to become the WWE Champion.

WWE Diva’s Championship
Natalya© vs. Melina

Natalya and Melina were fairly evenly matched throughout this contest, with each of them getting a fair amount of time in control of the other. Neither woman wanted to give in to their opponent. Momentum shifted hands several times however, only after a small mistake by one of the Diva’s though. Melina would eventually make a huge mistake as she decided to taunt a little bit and add some insult to injury rather then put Natalya away. This would cost Melina dearly as Natalya would then hit several stiff shots before locking in a devastating sharpshooter. Melina fought hard and tried to hold on and get to the ropes but the sharpshooter was just too much for her and she had no choice but to tap out.

Winner and still Diva’s Champion: Natalya

After the match, Natalya celebrated her victory but he celebration was short lived as a massive women attacked Natalya from behind. It looked like Melina was going to be next but then Melina and this gargantuan beast of a woman teamed up on Natalya. Melina got on the mic afterwards and announced that this woman was Awesome Kong! Kong hit an Awesome Bomb on Natalya before leaving with Melina.

Backstage John Morrison said that tonight was the night that he would finally climb to the top of the WWE. Morrison said that it’s his time now and it all starts tonight, when he wins the Elimination Chamber match. Morrison warned the other five men in the match, saying that nothing would stop him from going to Wrestlemania and becoming WWE Champion.

WWE Championship #1 Contenders Elimination Chamber Match
Randy Orton vs. Kane vs. CM Punk vs. Mason Ryan vs. John Morrison vs. Mark Henry

The match started off with CM Punk and John Morrison and the entrances were as follows: Kane, Mark Henry, Randy Orton and Mason Ryan. When Kane came in he helped Punk to attack Morrison but Morrison would not stay down and he managed to hold on until Henry came out. Henry and Morrison teamed up against Kane and Punk with Morrison taking on Punk and the two giants going at it. Mark Henry would be the first man eliminated however after Kane gave him a thunderous chokeslam. By that point Randy Orton had entered the match and went after Kane. Morrison looked to eliminate Punk in an exciting fashion as he climbed to the top of a pod but before he could make the leap, Mason Ryan entered the match and pulled Punk out of Morrison’s reach. Kane would be the next to be eliminated and the man to eliminate him was Randy Orton who put The Devil’s Favourite Demon out of the match with an RKO. Kane didn’t take too kindly to that though and when he got to his feet, Kane continued to attack Orton! Kane hit a Tombstone on Orton before leaving and this allowed Punk to make the pinfall, eliminating Orton and leaving only three men left in the match.

For the next part of the match, Mason Ryan and CM Punk worked on John Morrison as a unit. The two members of The Nexus picked Morrison apart, piece by piece but no matter what they did, Morrison would not stay down. Morrison finally started to get in some offence near the end of the match, when he fought Punk and Mason one at a time, hitting one and then the other. The numbers would catch up to Morrison though and The Nexus would once again take control. Punk then instructed Mason to put Morrison away with his finisher, the sit out side slam but Morrison had other plans as he fought out, threw Punk onto the steel and then hit Mason with the Nitro Blast and the Starship Pain to eliminate the Muscle of Nexus. It was down to the two men that started the match, CM Punk and John Morrison and Punk was in much better condition then The Shaman Of Sexy. They went at it one-on-one for a good few minutes, fighting in the ring and on the steel. Punk was relentless and merciless by this point, desperate to win. Punk would throw Morrison face first into the steel several times and even grind his face against the steel. Punk would hit the GPS shortly after this for the victory!

Winner and #1 Contender to the WWE Championship at Wrestlemania: CM Punk

After the match was over, Punk celebrated his win and the rest of the Nexus came out to celebrate with him. Husky Harris and Michael McGillicutty lifted Punk onto their shoulders and paraded him around the ring. The show went off the air with a disappointed and damaged John Morrison watching Punk and The Nexus celebrate a hard earned victory.

PS: RVD97045 won got the most predictions right.

*My Time Is Now*

The new WWE Champion bursts through the curtains and the crowd goes nuts! Cena says that its been a long road but once again he can say “THE CHAMP IS HERE!”. Cena talks about beating Miz last night at Elimination Chamber and finally shutting him up! Cena says that he’s shut Miz up for a loooong time too because Miz just happens to not have a rematch clause in his contract, so Miz starts at the bottom of the ladder. Cena then panders to the crowd a little and says that he couldn’t have done it without the WWE Universe, which gets a big reaction.

**This Fire Burns**

CM Punk and The Nexus come out and Punk claps for Cena and congratulates him on his win. Punk says that Cena’s win was impressive last night but he says that his win was more impressive. Punk says that he beat five other men in the Elimination Chamber to become the #1 Contender for the WWE Title at Wrestlemania. Punk says that means that Cena should savour his time with the WWE Title because at Wrestlemania it will be CM Punk vs. John Cena ….and possibly Christian for the WWE Title. Punk says that Cena shouldn’t worry about Christian though, he should worry about CM Punk and The Nexus. Cena says that The Nexus doesn’t worry him because he knows how to handle them now. Punk says that Cena must be mistaken because this is a new breed of Nexus and Cena has no idea how to deal with them. Punk also says that he’ll prove that and with that being said, David Otunga, Husky Harris, Michael McGillicutty and Mason Ryan all attacked John Cena. Cena tried to fight but he couldn’t fend off the four men. After kicking Cena until he was lifeless, Ryan, Harris, Otunga and McGillicutty all hit their finishers on Cena and then set Cena up for a GTS from CM Punk! Punk held the WWE Title up as he stood over John Cena with the Nexus by his side.
