Who got paid more per fight.

Brock Lesnar

or

The Rock.

Lesnar was brought in to bring legitimacy to the WWE, while the Rock brought in mainstream attention. Brock was about the money, while the Rock was more about giving back to the fans...so money was less of an issue.

So which guy got Vince to open the check book the most?

The Rock without question. He "does it for the fans" but that doesn't mean he's working for free.

Rock is a much bigger star and money draw than Brock.

Rock has a second job and earns 50 million a year in Hollywood. Brock doesn't.

Of course Rock is getting paid more.

The Rock because when he came back he brought all his Hollywood fans and that would boost Vinces' bank balance so he could afford more to pay more to The Rock.

Plus his fee would be higher due to being paid a lot more in Hollywood, I mean he can't come back here and charge less, otherwise film makers would be like "Well you did do WWE so such and such!"

The Rock must have. He worked the main event of the two of the biggest box office success WrestleManias, and was the host of WrestleMania 27, which did a better buyrate than it should have thanks to him.

He may have made less on Survivor Series 2011 and stuff like that, and didn't appear as frequently as Brock, but the WrestleManias alone probably put him over the top.

Some of the points made, may not be valid. Since such deals are made in secret, film studios will not have known the rocks pay check.

And even then, the Rock may have thought the money would not be enough to cover any perceived damage to his film career. Which suggests Vince could have gotten the Rock for a steal, if the Rock wanted to thank his fans.

The Rock. He's a far bigger star and is making crazy money elsewhere in Hollywood. Of course WWE are gonna have to pay big to lure him away from there. Brock is obviously on huge money as well but it's not like end got a lot going on right now. He has been unable to compete in UFC for the past few years due to his illness, although with rumours he now may be able to go back, WWE are gonna maybe have to pay him Rock money to keep him.

It should be The Rock since he regularly took bumps and sold feuds instead of bouncing around like a doofus for 10 minutes and leaving for months at a time. That, and the :fact that he's one of Hollywood's highest paid actors.

it's not even close. the shows (outside mania) rock performed on profits were way down despite buys being up which tells you how much they were paying him to wrestle

by all accounts rock got paid twice as much to wrestle one match (mania 28) as lesnar does in the whole year.

Rocky no doubt. His name brings more eyes and he has this other source of wealth that pays him much more in a year than the entire wealth of Brock.

Rock must have been paid in the ~$8-10 million range per year. Also he worked fewer dates than Brock and wrestled only about 4 matches in a span of two years.

I was originally going to say Lesnar, but people here have made some good points about it being The Rock.

I think it would definitely be The Rock. He's a bigger star than Brock and draws more money, so I would assume WWE paid him more.
