TNA fans were very embracing of Gail Kim and respected her a lot more than Mickie James. They're both good in ring workers(granted IMO Gail is a step better), they both came from the WWE, but Mickie gets no respect and TNA fans make fun of her most of the time. How come? When Gail Kim came in, she lit the place up and seemed energized and ready to really start a division. The division has come to an obvious halt in the last couple of years, some of their better workers are gone and no one really seems to care anymore. If Mickie came back to TNA when the division was the best thing going on the show, she would have been received a lot better than she is right now.

I think both were accepted pretty well by fans after their WWE runs. I prefer Gail's TNA work over Mickies, but Mickie's WWE work over Gail's.

I can't comment on the positives of Gail's run because I didn't watch TNA back then, but I think people might not be as accepting of Mickie because for some time now TNA has been a revolving door of ex WWE/WCW talent and they see her as just that, rather than seeing what she can bring to the division. I'm not saying back when Gail was in TNA there wasn't any released talent coming in, just more of a case there wasn't the sheer amount there is today and that TNA is losing it's originality and instead becoming WWE/WCW lite.

To be honest, I haven't seen a whole lot of TNA fans shitting on Mickie James. I think it's just shitting on the Knockouts division as a whole right now, Mickie is just an acceptable target.

Gail Kim was an untapped talent when she came into TNA. She was a girl who was hands down better in the ring then both Lita and Trish and yet was one of the first fired when WWE started getting rid of some of their divas. People KNEW Gail Kim could go and wanted to see her in an environment where she could, TNA presented a fresh start for her. At the time there was no KO Division but there was this other crazy girl on the roster name Trinity and people knew something crazy between the two could happen.

Gail was by-in-large untapped. Mickie James was on a down turn when she came into TNA. Bad matches and blown spots galore and plus the weight gain. All of it looked like she was unmotivated and some people didn't want her in TNA because it would be YET ANOTHER FORMER WWE STAR coming in COMPLETELY unmotivated and just wanting to collect a paycheck. The second reason is that people want to see women like Flash, Daffney, and Sarita (who all can GO IN THE RING) given the chance and spotlight that Mickie is getting.

It all comes down to simply this...people want to see something new and want the business to move forward.When Gail came in people thought her best days were ahead of her. When Mickie came in people thought he best days were behind her.

I haven't seen anybody in the IWC actually take shots at Mickie James. Every other current Knockout gets more heat than she does from what I've seen.

As to the topic at hand, Gail is simply the AJ Styles of the Knockouts. The spearhead of the division and the woman who's series of matches with Awesome Kong brought prestiege to women's wrestling much like AJ did with indy wrestling. Those are really just BIG shoes for Mickie to fill.

And frankly, given the state of the division when Mickie came in late last year, I don't think the majority of the IWC would actually have complained if she knocked over Madison Rayne when she debuted and became the queen of the Knockouts (provided they didn't let her go over EVERY Knockout and kept her from Love or another great Knockout for that big matchup). Instead, having her feud with Tara over **** that happened in the WWE really turned off the audience.

Mickie is being accepted by tna fans. Sorry Gail good but i Believe Mickie just as good and as shown that in tna. Mickie is not fat either if you ever see her in person you can see she not fat.

Thomas Mickie just as good if not better then Daffney and just as good as Sarita. Flash was gone when Mickie arrived so Mickie deserve the spotlight but seem she not the only one getting the spotlight.

I'm not sure where you're seeing these Mickie bashers. Most of what I've seen directed towards her has been gratitude for her arrival reigniting the fire under creative to get the division back on track. Fringe hate detailed above - she's a former WWE star, really one of the biggest women's stars there ever has been. Gail, although she won the Women's Championship, didn't even register as a blip on the radar with her WWE career. Lots of people prefer TNA to create their own identity rather than recycling the past.
