Vince Russo finally departed from TNA.
After over 10 years of wrestling fans screams from roof tops, demanding his firing.
The man himself does invoke a certain hatred.
Booking himself and a nameless actor to win and hold, the most prestigious title in wrestling history, and almost single handedly wiping away the magic of professional wrestling.
The later due to the format still used in TNA now.
The learn to talk first, learn to wrestle someday maybe...probably never format.
That clearly to anyone with a brain, will never work.
It has never sold a ticket, it get's no ratings, it sells no PPV's.
It is like Mitt Romney trying to run to the left of Obama, it will never work.
It is like a suicide bomber running yelling "sports entertainment" blowing up themselves and TNA.
Instead of having having 10 matches on Impact like Nitro did and making truck loads of money.
Does anyone understand TNA's mental disorder? I don't get it!

1) At least there aren't at least a dozen face/heel changes per month.

2) Who do you think really is in charge? Russo? Save for a three month period in 2009, he was never truly in charge.

They aren't using the Russo format. So silly thread.

Early to Mid 00s Smackdown is a closer comparison. But even the Smackdown one isn't a direct comparison.

Why are they using the WWE format then?
It has never worked, for anyone other then WWE.

TNA isn't using the Russo format anymore. They actually have long term planning now. Look at Roode. Look at the Joseph Park/Abyss storyline.
Those are good, but look at the rest of the show.
It is still 85% talking, just saying it will never work.

Where did I say that they are directly using the WWE format?

They a modern Wrestling show of course there will ALWAYS be overlap with other Wrestling shows both modern and old. There are only so many ways under the sun to present a Wrestling show that makes sense. Being new for the sake of being new is dumb and largely counter intuitive to viewers.

This is not the russo format. It is the pro wrestling post mid 1970's format. The characters and talk have ALWAYS been more important than the wrestling, In every organization. it is only since the formation of the post-ecw 'workrate' indies, that the idea of a show based around technical wrestlng has even been considered.

Not to mention- TNA has good wrestlers! Who's bad? Anderson maybe, but even he's not that terrible anymore. pretty much everyone (w/ the exception of the rob terrys of the world) are at least pretty decent

Also, NItro was 3 hours a lot of the time, so they could fit a few more matches. The NWO, Flair, etc would talk for a half hour at a time, so I don't know what you are talking about w/ that.
