When AW made this comment on Raw, he immediately got fired.

Let's go back to 2003-2004 (thug life era). Big show had his rap battle with Cena and made a kobe remark which was probably more aggressive than the AW said his line.

3:25 mark

I know a lot of people here want the current Big show to just leave WWE....but how come he got away with this back then? Wasn't it still somehow PG back then?

Because life isn't fair.

Because it's not like Abraham Washington would ever be a serious loss to the WWE. He contributed nothing.
Big Show is 7 feet tall! that makes him a draw in Vince's It will take a lot to fire him. :vince3
And just to remind you all, Show doesn't plan to retire until 2018. Three more years!

Double standards are a thing in WWE. Let's be honest, there are certain things that Cena could do, that would see guys like Heath Slater fired on the spot.

Rape jokes started being wrong when PC thugs started in with their bullshit.

If something is funny, it's funny. You can't pick and choose whats funny or not. Either everything is up to mocking or nothing is.

I was more offended by the Abraham Washington joke for how dated it was.

Because it was a different era & WWE wasn't so sensitive about things then.
