Why are they doing this?

Emma is one of the best women wrestlers they have and they waste her with this Santino love story or whatever they doing when they should be showing off Emma as a wrestle who more than a funny Dance like NXT Writers did with her.

I know Santino has a bad rep on this forum, but with casuals the guy is actually over, and in turn can help Emma get over with the same casuals. And since she actually does have some wrestling skills so the more hardcore fans will appreciate her as well.

Pairing her with Santino right off the bat like this is actually a good thing for her long-term on the main roster IMO.

The WWE definitely has some diva talent on their Roster, most of it is in NXT currently, that if they ever start actually caring about the divas on their wrestling show and not just promoting a "reality" show, the divas could actually add something good to the product.

That's the key the WWE NOT messing it up, but when it comes to the divas, I have little faith, but with the current crop they have in NXT, I have at least seem some steps toward them possibly NOT continuing to "mess up" the divas division. We'll see where it goes.

She's one of the best divas on the roster. If they let her be a serious wrestler, she would do just fine. Though the divas division is not about wrestling.

Like someone mention in this thread, pairing Emma with Santino was probably a good thing. Think about it, she is on Raw and Smackdown every week, whether it a match or a segment. When they're in a match she gets the pin or makes the opponent tap. They want Emma to get over with the Casuals and with Santino(who is over with the casual crowds) will help that.

Because Emma is definately not one of the best womens wrestlers they have. She was average in SHIMMER, she is average now. Only Paige is capable of putting on a good match with her. Natalya, AJ, Naomi, Alicia, Layla are better than Emma. Heck, even the Bellas are probably better than her.

I want to ask you this did you see any of her matches 3-4month before she got signed by WWE?
Before that, she was indeed "average", but around that time is when she REALLY started to grow as a wrestler, and become a very good one actually, 1 more year in the indies would have done wonders for her, her match vs Sara Del Rey was a breakout performance at Volume 29, and she got signed shortly after that so that's why you might think she was just average on the indies by looking at most of her matches, it's because it's the last few ones before she signed with WWEv where she really shined.


btw, Paige was also average on the indies, Can't think of many matches I liked for her ( my favorite was the one vs her mother no dq, which is equal to me as Tenille/Del Rey)

Ridiculous. And who cares about what kind of a wrestler she was 3 years ago in the indies? Right NOW she's a top 3 wrestler on the roster along with Natalya and AJ, and it's debateable who is the best among them. When you add in character, personality and charisma, only AJ is on her level.

What's wrong with pairing her up with Santino? Also, as someone mentioned earlier that Emma is a comedy gimmick and those two have had pretty decent on-screen chemistry together thus far. I'm interested and enjoying their quirkiness - and want to see where they're going with this.

Like I've said before, if they allowed her to be a beast in the ring while keeping the dumb dancing gimmick, I wouldn't mind. But the WWE aren't doing that. Tbf though, she has only been on the main roster for 2+ months, so we'll see how she's used as time goes on.
