I recently combed through all of the WWE PPV's from Summerslam 2010-Royal Rumble 2011 and Daniel Bryan stole the show in almost every one. He unexpectedly kicked ass in Summerslam, had high quality matches with Miz, Ziggler and Dibiase, and made his Rumble appearance memorable. He should and likely will participate in a lengthly match at Wrestlemania XXVII and I'm betting it will be the match of the night. The question is - who should he face?

I hope Regal, probably wont happen but would be nice if it was his retirement match, having it at wrestlemania would be great. And his opponent as Daniel Bryan would be a 'passing of the torch' kind of thing.

I'm hoping Chris Jericho signs back with WWE and challenges him for the United States Championship. Mister Hands brought up a great point in a thread I created a few days ago on what Jericho could do at Wrestlemania should he make it back in time, which was that Jericho, with all of his accomplishments, has never held the US Title. Simple set-up, could even open the show (and possibly steal it).

If that's off the table, I think I'd like to see Jack Swagger jump to Raw in the build-up to Wrestlemania to feud with Bryan over the United States Championship. The All American American chasing the US Championship, it writes itself, and the match would be good, as the Old School Raw showed us. Again, it would be an ideal opener at Wrestlemania.

Don't see Cody Rhodes being an option, since he's probably set to wrestle Mysterio at Wrestlemania.

However, if they actually go with William Regal, I'd be very happy. I don't see it happening myself, but if it did, I'd have a huge grin on my face.

If it wasn't for the Orton program, I would have loved to have seen a US Title triple threat of Bryan, Regal and Punk. Their exchange at the Runble was practically their WWE audition.

I can't believe I didn't consider Jericho. I'm like the typical WWE target audience with zero attention span. Out of sight, out of mind. But yeah, a Jericho/Bryan US title match to open Wrestlemania would be fantastic.

When Bryan saved King on RAW tonight I secretly hoped they were sowing the seeds for a Miz/Bryan WWE championship bout but I'm not holding my breath.

Maybe they are. For Wrestlemania 30. :)

What a waste that would be, though. Bryan needs a singles wrestling match at Wrestlemania (or at least a match that is over his championship even if it's a triple threat/fatal fourway or something like that) and WWE creative needs to remind us that he's the United States Champion. It's Miz as US Champion all over again, except with better matches, sillier storylines and almost no promos. Yeah, never mind.

Meh, it's just what they like to do though. If you run down the possible card in your head, you've got 6 or 7 matches cemented before you contemplate what the likes of Bryan will do. Unless they have Jericho to put on something with build and universal anticipation then I don't see them sticking Bryan in a lower card match that isn't called Money In The Bank. I mean you've also got Morrison, Kingston and Ziggler who all deserve to have a bigger status match than MITB, but where do you stick them?

Personally, i want Ted DiBiase. He beat Daniel Bryan few weeks ago in a pretty entertaining match, i wish there would be a follow up to that win. And also, it's just kinda depressing to see what Ted has been doing these days, i wanna see him to have a feel good moment for once, just for once....

Actually, no matter whom Bryan is facing, the match is gonna be great for sure. He will probably get added to the MITB ladder match though.

I'd rather he be in the MITB than facing guys like DiBiase & Tyson, at that point we're just begging for a title defense at the ppv.

him vs. either guy is barely ppv worthy, let alone WM worthy.

Who SHOULD he face??? Probably someone like Jack Swagger or Tyson Kidd becuase it would be an awesome match.

Who WILL he face??? Everyone else in the MITB match.

As long as they don't waste him in a match with DiBaise.

But in all seriousness does anyone actually think the US belt will be defended at WM.:lmao Not a chance.

I'd be very shocked if his not but in money in the bank. The sad thing is he won't win it either. It will probably be Morrison or Ziggler.

Its OK if he doesnt win MITB. He doesnt have to be rushed to the main event scene too soon. He is still developing character and a WWE following. He would be better off having a US title defense and winning against someone like Swagger though.

I would mark for THIS ^

Otherwise if your asking who he should face I'd say Tyson Kidd personally, if there isn't a MITB this year and these guys went at it for 30mins plus that would be insane.

Assuming Chris Jericho is off the table, and HHH isn't back, I wouldn't mind seeing a Bryan/Morrison/Sheamus triple threat. They kinda set it up leading into the Royal Rumble, they've all shown great chemistry in the past, and Bryan could retain by taking advantage of the overflow of aggression between Morrison and Sheamus, furthering their on/off rivalry and Bryan's reputation of taking advantage of even the slightest mistake in the ring.
