This exact poll has already been done before, but Id say in the begging of 99 it was austin but towards the end rock took over

Austin until he got hurt.

It isn't like today though, where the gap between Cena and Orton is so huge, Rock was always close to if not equal to Austin, both guys were very big, The Rock already was insanely over so he just slid right in when they needed him to.

Austin was defiantly the hottest thing in the early part of 1999, but after Rocks face turn he was right there and in some cases more popular than Austin.

This thread wont end too well. However, Rock was very close to Austin in terms of draw or however you want to put it in the final stages of the AE in general. Austin was bigger for most of 99. Rock was always close but eventually took over in the final months to the time Austin got hurt. But since were talking the entire year, the nod still goes to Austin.

Rock pretty much took over after 99. But I think Austin had most of 99.

the product itsself was the draw in 1999 , if you go by stats it was probleby the rock becuse austin was utterly fucked that year and was heavly protected by wwe before finaly getting the medical treatment he should have got a year before.

I think from about august or so, Rock started to be the bigger draw, as his merch sales overtook Austin's at that time. Before then though it was Austin.

First half of 1999 = Austin
Second half of 1999 = Rock
That's the correct answer, Rock was a heel in the first 5 months, Austin began his second year as the top face. but, since July The Rock was more over, sold a lot more merchandise and sold out more gates than anyone in the business, what's more amazing is that he was feuding with BILLY GUNN at that time.

we already done this thread, go find it, this is pointless.

When Stone Cold wasn't around, The Rock was the bigger draw, BUT when Stone Cold was there at the begining of 1999, Stone Cold was by far the bigger draw.
