I've seen various wrestlers attempt to join the broadcast team and, as you would expect, some were excellent and some were horrible.

My personal choice would without a doubt be Owen Hart during the 1996 King of the Ring PPV. For those who haven't seen it, check it out and let me know what you think:

Well it certainly wouldn't be Art Donovan...

Owen was awesome, for sure.

JBL, Punk, HBK were all great. I also enjoyed Mr. Perfect when he was commentating with Vince and JR back in 1996.

"How much does this guy weigh?" Art Donovan was hilarious in a bad way but it was so awkwardly funny to watch KOTR '94.

I agree with Punk. He definitely has a future in the broadcast booth in the future. And Mr. Perfect was great.

Mr. Perfect & Punk were two that I felt once retired would have the possibility of becoming a commentator. But then Booker became one and I realised anybody can.

But yeah, definitely Perfect & Punk. Savage entertained me as well.
Yea Booker is terrible. Every two minutes, he says "lemme tell you something" and it just gets on my damn nerves. Combine his shitty ass commentary (Shucky Ducky Quack Quack?? wtf?) with his annoying ass voice and it's just unbearable.

Perfect, Punk, and Savage.. Great choices

If you'd like to hear some truly awful commentary (I think Art Donovan found his match), take a listen to Rob Bartlett, a comedian who commentated on Raw with Savage and Vince for the first 3 and a half months of the show's existence. Included in the first episode of Raw was Bartlett saying that during the commercial break, Shawn Michaels pulled a knife on Max Moon (in the clip above), mispronouncing Yokozuna as "Yokozooma" and one of the worst commentary segments I've ever heard in my life: pretending to be Mike Tyson and calling Vince and Savage from prison to talk about the show, during which Savage makes a rape joke (also in the clip above).

Its a miracle Raw has made it to 1000 episodes with that kind of start...
