Re: Which WWE wrestler had the best theme song

My favourites have ended up being the ones that are full songs. They are in constant rotation on my playlists.

In no particular order:

Lita - LoveFuryPassionEvergy by Boy Hits Car
CM Punk - Cult Of Personality by In Living Colour
HHH - The Game by Motorhead
Kane - Slow Chemical by Finger Eleven
Chris Benoit - Whatever by Our Lady Peace
Stone Cold - Glass Shatters by Disturbed

Shawn Michaels 'Sexy Boy'.

The way he times the dancing to the ring, then hanging onto the ropes on the apron and as soon as the solo instrumental hits he hit the ring and does the spin/crouch/pose combo. It's a work of art! The song masterfully fit his character in the 90's.

Yea, only I'm one of the few who prefers version 1 of that tune over the much more well known version 2. Something about Sherri singing it just fits to me, and in a way made more sense...

I once heard an amazing amateur mashup of the two versions put together, with both singing certain parts, but I sadly can't find it anymore.

I still love Randy Orton's "Voices" theme. It's so damned catchy.

And Punk's "Cult Of Personality". Such a great song, I'm glad he changed his theme to it cos otherwise I probably wouldn't have discovered it.

Re: Which WWE wrestler had the best theme song

Some of my favorite are because I like the wrestler, and when I heard the music I knew it was a good part of the program.
"Ravishing" Rick Rude, Fabulous Freebirds: both "Sweet Home Alabama" by Lynard Skynyrd and "Bad Street", Macho Man, The Midnight Express.

Then there are those that just fit there characters so well.
The Undertaker, Missing Link: "Mental Health (Bang Your Head)" by Quiet Riot, Hulk Hogan: "Real American", Ultimate Warrior, Road Warriors, The Rock, Stone Cold, Iron Sheik, JYD: "Another One Bites the Dust" by Queen was awesome in the territories.

Slow build up... but was great because it allowed the character to get heat during a slow walk to the ring.
Rick Flair, Mr. Perfect

I also like HHH "The Game", John Cena "The Time is Now"

.......... We could easily come up with 100 theme/entrance music for wrestlers that when the music hit there was a huge pop.

Re: Which WWE wrestler had the best theme song

The new themes by lame rock bands all suck IMO.

You need to go back to the golden era to get the cool Jim Johnson.

Arguably the best, Macho Man - Pomp and Circumstance

2nd - Ric Flair's WWF theme in the early 90s

3rd: LOD's theme

For newish ones, the original Kane theme was excellent.

Re: Which WWE wrestler had the best theme song

My unbiased opinion on a great entrance theme is undoubtedly 'Break The Walls Down'

So Jericho gets the nod here for having a theme that lasted for so long and never evvvvvverrrrr!....got old one bit.
Fuck, how did I miss this one? Not only is Jericho one of my favourite wrestlers, but his theme is my ringtone! I kind of get a kick out of getting a call at work and one of my students recognises the song :D

On the note of favourite wrestlers, Brock's theme deserves a shoutout, too. It's a simple tune, but so damn effective. As soon as that first note hits, you know some shit is going down. It's the same reason Austin's theme is so great.

Shame. If you come across it again, let me know. One thing is for certain, I've never heard a theme more suited to a character than Sexy Boy for Shawn's 90's cocky, arrogant character.

Currently?? Finn Balor, great theme, wish I liked him more.

Past: HHH has always had the best themes, from My Time to Line In the Sand to DX, all of his themes are great.
Edge, Christian, Stone Cold (when I was a kid hearing that glass shatter got me pumped haha) CM Punk (both), Kane theme with the singing. I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch but my favorite of all time is Evolution, such a badass theme for those guys.
