Rob Conway

humiliated by Viscera

89305

defeated in handicap match by Batista and then Quebec flag shoved up Conway's ass
89306

humiliated by HBK and beaten up by Kane

final appearance: fired by Vince McMahon

I would expect this to happen to someone like Ellsworth or Santino but Conway looked like a legit athlete and with the right guidance could have been a good IC champion at the very least.

can you list off examples of some of the worst burials in WWE?

Damien Sandow went from being Mr. Money in The Bank almost a guaranteed World Championship reign to losing to Cena after attacking Cenas hurt arm after a match. Cena buried him with 1 arm and his career went downhill to being a stunt double for The Miz and losing his savior of the masses gimmick. Later being released and playing a gay guy in TNA.

Never realized how bad Rob Conway had it. It looks like he was a running joke in Vince McMahon's twisted head.

Tbf the stunt double stick people got into that and he got over again but they just buried it so he got over twice and then buried twice

Daniel Bryan losing in 18 seconds was a pretty bad burial. Obviously it failed but it was clear they were sending a message that Bryan was not what they wanted in a World Champion and tried to send him packing to the midcard.

Zack Ryder. If you look up the word "Burial" in a dictionary, there´s a picture of him.
true, especially during the Eve/Kane/Cena angle. a big difference though is Zack, when being beaten up by Kane is seen as a sympathetic figure. When Conway is getting beaten up, the intent is you're supposed to be laughing at him. Even Lillian is laughing. I would say many people had it worse than Zack, especially since he was still given some big moments and pushed a bit as a babyface and had merch.

To some extent, Big Show.

The multiple segments featuring him crying, the program with Akebono, the identity crisis angle and the fact he is easily the biggest star in the company to have been demoted to developmental.

And also, Vader.

Kanyon pitched a non-stereotypical gay gimmick. So they later made a segment with him dressed as Boy George and siniging, to then get beaten up by the Undertaker with a chair and Undertaker went probably not by coincidence fully in and concussed him. Here's a cut of the segment

More recently and at least less damaging, they obviously tried to embarrass Emma for diverting stances (ironically with the exception of her last match). They took anything that she possibly had away (cool entrance, significant role leading to more time for women, Dana mentor) and made a mockery out of it. She never even had a shirt? Instead of giving her one made a story joke out of it to mock. She played a significant role in NXT leading to better women's matches? Turned her character into a story joke claiming she played a role in the women's revolution and then getting squashed to act like it's all illusion etc.

Edit: Now that Jupiter Jack said it, can't find a video about it, but they made Vader at the end of his run saying in a promo that's he's just a fat piece of sh*t. WWF Over the Edge (1998) - IMDb

Vader was pretty badly used because he was a stiff worker and Michaels didn't wanna work with him so he was done as quick as he arrived. Big show going to developmental tho was for him to lose weight and same with Mark Henry at that time

Don't know. Haven't been to any of their funerals.
