Now that he's dropped the title and the BFG Series is the main focus I think TNA doesn't see him as needing to be on the show.

I'm sure once the final four are decided next week, he'll resurface. I wouldn't mind a mini-feud with Kurt Angle leading to a BFG '11 rematch at No Surrender, before Roode naturally turns his attention back to Storm.

I'm fairly sure the last time he was on Impact he cut a promo ending with him telling the fans what he was gonna do next; as he was unable to complete the sentence he left presumably to (kay-fabe) think things over. I personally thought that whole segment was brilliant.

Kayfabe speaking Austin Aries broke the it factor.
He's coming back at no surrender to cost storm the BFG series and blame him for everything that happened in 2012, including losing his family.

It was a diversion. Roode is behind the Aces (see the Aces thread for my theory). The name of the Aces and 8's game is diversion. They play it often and they play it well.

He's doing the "I lost the title so I am going to go home and pout" bit that heels have done in the past.

My guess is that he will return at No Surrender, cost Storm the BFG Series, and then that will set up their match at BFG.

He's selling the loss to Aries. To me this promo is reminiscent of James Storm's post-Lockdown promo. I reckon a return at No Surrender to cost Storm the BFG Series is on the cards. This quite handily sets up their match at Bound for Glory.

Just a question: If Roode blamed Aries, Sting, and the referees, how does that shift to costing Storm the BFG Series? Unless it's a false finish and Storm wins anyway.
If you go back in history the reason why the it factor became himself it's because unlike storm that got a title shot out of nowhere Roode had to work his way up with the BFG series. Bobby Roode is the current BFG series winner and he doesn't want his nemesis to break his record or to win his title.
It's all a question of jealousy and I think mr. roo could play the psycho heel character very well.

I think the storyline got to him and they are gonna have him away from the ring for a month or so then he will come back. Either that, or he will come back when AA loses the title!

While all that's true kayfabe-wise, I wonder if he's just having a break. I saw an interview somewhere where he was moaning about a shoulder injury. And I noticed that he looked a lot less in-shape than he has in the past (I mean, he's still in great shape, but I only noticed how much less ripped and smaller he was when they replayed the scene of him bottling Storm and standing over him. Guy was in great shape then).

Being the face of the company for so long puts a lot of pressure in you both Roode, Storm and Bully have worked under injury this year.
It's the old ecdub mentally but I really want him to come back and finish the storyline with storm. Austin Aries should be THE guy until Lockdown 2013, then either give it to bully ray or daniels.

Roode is taking a well deserved vacation after busting his ass to become such a great heel since BFG of last year. They gave him the ball and he delivered. He put Aries over and as such he doesn't need to be on the show right now.

Kayfabe wise, he no longer has a rematch while Aries is champ. I've called this months in advance. He'll return at No Surrender to cost Storm in the BFG Series finals. That'll setup their blowoff match and Aries will go on to main-event the winner of the series.

I was banking on Joe but since they've planted the Magnus seed they'll most likely be working together at BFG.

I definitely do not want Hardy vs. Aries but that's the only logical option unless they think Aries/Bully will draw.

I think the promo as to 'What now??' answers a lot.

I'm starting to think whether Storm will be attacked by Roode so Storm ends up winning by DQ: thus beating Storm repeatedly but putting him through at the same time. Storm then wins the BFG series but gives it up as a man who wants to win the title fair and square (as he lost the title through shenanigans) and challenges Roode to a number 1 contenders match at BFG. The other 3 face off in a triple threat match and the winner takes on AA (most likely being Hardy)
