It was a diversion. Roode is behind the Aces (see the Aces thread for my theory). The name of the Aces and 8's game is diversion. They play it often and they play it well.I'm fairly sure the last time he was on Impact he cut a promo ending with him telling the fans what he was gonna do next; as he was unable to complete the sentence he left presumably to (kay-fabe) think things over. I personally thought that whole segment was brilliant.
If you go back in history the reason why the it factor became himself it's because unlike storm that got a title shot out of nowhere Roode had to work his way up with the BFG series. Bobby Roode is the current BFG series winner and he doesn't want his nemesis to break his record or to win his title.Just a question: If Roode blamed Aries, Sting, and the referees, how does that shift to costing Storm the BFG Series? Unless it's a false finish and Storm wins anyway.
Being the face of the company for so long puts a lot of pressure in you both Roode, Storm and Bully have worked under injury this year. While all that's true kayfabe-wise, I wonder if he's just having a break. I saw an interview somewhere where he was moaning about a shoulder injury. And I noticed that he looked a lot less in-shape than he has in the past (I mean, he's still in great shape, but I only noticed how much less ripped and smaller he was when they replayed the scene of him bottling Storm and standing over him. Guy was in great shape then).
Losing his family?![]()
Kayfabe speaking Austin Aries broke the it factor.
He's coming back at no surrender to cost storm the BFG series and blame him for everything that happened in 2012, including losing his family.
