The only thing I can see that says they will be teaming is the unoffical looking poster. All the bleecher reports quote the WWE site "WWE sources have confirmed that The Rock and John Cena will be a part of a Traditional 5-on-5 Survivor Series Tag Team Match." At no point does it say they will be tagging but its being talked about everywhere.
Does anyone have any more info on this?
From my point of view it really seems pointless them team. Surely Team Bring It vs Cenation would be the most logical step?

It's on the OFFICIAL WWE Survivor Series poster. It's says that The Rock and John Cena will be "JOINING FORCES"....which means they are teaming together.

The Rock confirmed this himself as well as the WWE Official Facebook page.

So, yes they are teaming.
