I understand the move is dangerous and everything. But if they play that up on TV it could get shit canned. Remember way before WWE became a public company they banned the vertabreaker. If they play up that it's capable of breaking necks he loses it. He can't use the springboard 450 cause Neville busts that out on big occasions. He no doubt will use the calf killer. Balor uses the bloody Sunday in big matches and the hollow point is out. It's better to treat it as a normal finisher
It doesn't have to be put over as a move that injures people on WWE TV. Just make it a move that KNOCKS PEOPLE OUT COLD.

That's all i'm saying. He leaves the ring, goes up the ramp and his opponent still hasn't gotten up yet.

Most likely since after he left TNA and people were less familiar to having that move around, there were a multiple instances of wrestlers getting injured because they tucked their chin in (pretty much the biggest thing to never do during the move) instead of tilting their heads back (as they're supposed to do).

With Roman on the roster and to a lesser extent Cena even though his super has been severely marginalized in the advent of Roman I don't see that happening. The sister Abigail didn't get that treatment. Eventhe freaking tombstone and f5 don't receive the treatment they deserve in wwes new finisher spam wrestling model.

It would be funny if the crowd start chanting "Michelle McCool".

He stole the finisher of Undertaker's wife, FFS!!
Yeah, fuck that vanilla midget for stealing Michelle McCool's finisher...even though he'd been using that move before she even knew how to lace up a pair of wrestling boots...

I never got to watch him in ROH or Japan, so I wasn't aware of all this stuff about him injuring people. I used to watch TNA years ago, so I was a huge fan of AJ back then. I just haven't seen the Styles Clash in quite a bit, so I was excited to finally see it again, and them teasing me just kind of hurt.

If anyone saw Styles do his multiple "attempts" at Styles Clash, you'd see the size difference on some of them were terrible. Y2J is only 6'0", and looked slightly to tall, or it was because not positioned perfectly.

Pretty much, yeah.

The only idea I have is that since Mauro Ranallo, the new Smackdown commentator, used to do the English commentary for NJPW on AXS, he knows all about AJ, he could really sell the move and maybe get over how big of a deal it is. But if that's the case, just put Mauro on Raw and turf out that loser Byron Saxton. Fuck it, let Mauro call Raw on his own, or with Corey Graves. Saxton, Cole and JBL are shit.
Would be a welcome change of pace on Raw. They should call PPVs too.
