Can't help but notice for the last 8 days that the most over and talked about person on these forums and on the Internet in general is clearly The Rock.
Seems almost as over as he ever was.
Out of the options i'd have to say 1999 ahead of 2000. Even as a heel he was getting huge pops, non -stop Rocky chants and half the time (in the later part of the year), was more over than Austin.

Yeah 2000. Austin was gone, Undertaker was gone, HBK was gone. He took advantage of the opportunity. That was a blessing in disguise for the WWE.

When you see how over he was last week, it's hard to say he's not back at that peak lol. If he was a full time wrestler right now he'd be the most over thing on the planet.
But yeah, realistically 2000 was his year. 2001 was the start of his film hiatuses which only kills your momentum.
