I believe they silently made the change. John Cena went for the FU, Jim Ross called it as the attitude adjustment, and the rest is history.

It had to have been prior to the PG rating switch, although switching to PG definitely influenced the change.

They should have called it as what it really is.

"Fireman's carry!"

So going by that, they should rename the Pedigree to the Double Underhook Facebuster, or the RKO to a Jumping Cutter, or the F5 to the Spin-out Fireman's carry facebuster.. Right?

Around 2007/2008 they started to rename it, and the reason we know it changed is because Michael Cole a typical corporate yes-man and a kiss-ass product of a system kept calling it Attitute Adjustment and made sure we fucking knew.

STFU (Shut the fuck up) also got changed to STF around that time.

It was around about 2008/09. They suddenly stopped calling it the FU for a weeks, starting calling it 'The Victory' or 'The Throwback' before going with the Attitude Adjustment. And like someone said, they cut the U off the STFU around the same time.

2009 was when they changed the FU to the AA, and I think the STFU followed that year or the following year. 2007 and 2008 are wrong, because they were still calling it the FU during those years ( I just watch a video from 2008, and they called it the FU).

Whatever you call it, it's still the stupidest and anti-climatic finisher move ever. Even my little sister doesn't understand how this move can end matches.

Also, I'm glad they changed the STFU to STF.
