Of course he has been here since 95, but when did you really begin to view him as a potential player?

For me it was mid 1999 when he was in the Corporate ministry.

Something about his Black pants with the silver designs really drew me in. It was a different serious look for him.

Then when he switched to the trunks I really started to take him as a more serious character

Genuinely when he was blueblood hunter hearst helmsley - I thought that was a great character when I was younger

I'm one of about 3 hhh marks on this forum tbf
I felt the same way. When he first showed up, I thought he had the look & the ability to be a major player. I never thought he'd be where he is now. I thought he'd be a 2-4 time Heavyweight champion, most likely a couple of transitional title reigns.

Somewhere around 1999 when he first started sitting in on Creative meetings with Vince. Mysteriously he got his main event push after that.
I thought he started sitting in the meetings in like late '97/ early '98?

Night after WM 14 when he gave his famous "HBK dropped the ball/you look to the Kliq" speech. That started HIS DX, which became a monster and was a huge reason WWF passed WCW. It was clear during his feud with Rock for the IC title that we were seeing two huge stars and the future of the company.

The heel turn at Mania was a huge moment too. Basically announcing that the fun, goofy DX HHH was done, no more fn around....time to start kickin ass and take over.

He was just awesome when The Game started. I liked him much better than Austin and Rock.

Nope, 1999.

Oh F off with this shit. He had Vince's attention as soon as he walked thru the door. And you're insulting Vince by whatever garbage you're insinuating.
I'm not insinuating anything, I'm stating. HHH will tell you himself that he started to sit in on Creative meetings in 1999, and by 2002 he was Vince's right hand man in them.
Oh certainly, he was "their guy" and they wanted him to be a star from an early stage (that's why he got so many chances despite not getting over on his own for a long long time), but you're a fool if you think HHH's reign from 2002-2005 wasn't heavily resulting from his pull.

When he took over DX you knew he was a potential player down the road. When he split you knew he'd be champ. When he kayfaybe hooked up with Stephanie was the moment you knew he was a serious Main Eventer. AE was McMahon centric and everyone really needed that McMahon bump to say they've officially arrived.
