I am talking about the year that had the best wrestlers, the most legends ex.
2002 I would say

Triple H
Undertaker
Kurt Angle
The Rock
Stone Cold
Hulk Hogan
Big Show
John Cena
CHris Benoit
Kane
Booker T
CHris Jericho
Eddie Guerrero
Kevin Nash
Scott Hall
Brock Lesnar
Scott Steiner
Shawn Michaels
Ric Flair
Mick Foley
Eric Bischoff
Matt and Jeff Hardy
Dudleys
DDP
Edge
Christian
Rhyno
Trish
Lita

Just look how stacked that roster was thats why they changed to brand split because people like Flair and Triple H would be mid carders.

2000 was the deepest and best utilized roster.

2002 had arguably the greatest name value, but a lot of those big names were either in major decline or were already washed up.

Probably 2002 or 2003.

I would agree in that 2000 was the best roster. You had some ECW guys and some WCW guys but not too many. There was enough to create a nice change from the current product. Also Angle was coming into his own and guys like the Rock and Triple H were at their peaks.

That 2002 was probably about the best- was RVD there also in 2002 or was that the next year?

I would like to make an honorable mention for 1992, i was only a kid, but I followed wrestling enough that I remembered being excited that Hogan and flair were in the same company, and there were a lot of big stars. So I looked it up, it was a pretty impressive roster over the course of that year.

Hogan
Flair
Legion of doom
Piper
Sid
Warrior
Savage
Jake the Snake
Taker
HBK
Bret Hart
Ted Dibiase
british Bulldog
Yokozuna
Bossman
Rick Martel
Sgt Slaughter
Mr. Perfect
Razor Ramon

Pretty good assortment of legends there

Seems like late 01-02 would be the obvious choice.

A little less obvious would be 92. Still in their prime: Hogan, Piper, Savage, Flair, Martel, Mr. Perfect, Shawn Michaels coming into his own... and on and on.
