Shane was willing to do whatever it took to entertain the crowd. Granted, he could take more liberties with his body as he didn't ever have to wrestle a full schedule, but he laid it all out when he was in the ring and he has forever earned my respect.

None of the above.

He was an employee out there doing his job, taking risks, & having fun.

If he was desperate for his father's approval, HHH wouldn't be wrestling right now because Shane would have the career that the McMahon's have created utilizing HHH.

He's like the JFK Jr of wrestling. I never had a problem with him getting involved in feuds/matches, because it's not like he had a huge ego and thought he was a legit wrestler who should be beating this guy or that guy. He came in to get KILLED by people, and always jobbed. When he never had to do any of that.

He was insane. He wrestled in one match where the glass wouldn't break, another match where the table wouldn't break. I'll give him props, he's definitely one of my favs.

Legend? Really? He had a handful of neat matches where he jumped off things and went through glass, sure, but that's a very low bar you're setting if this guy is a legend. Terry Funk is a legend. Mick Foley is a legend. Abdullah the Butcher, Mr. Pogo, the Original Sheik are hardcore legends. Shane McMahon jumped onto a crash pad a couple times and couldn't throw a punch to save his life.

Shane never had to do any of what he did in the ring, that's why he has everyone's respect. I think he just loved wrestling that much, and he was willing to do whatever he had to, to contribute and earn the respect of the guys there. It wasn't about fame or money.

Shane McMahon earned my respect. The dude took some CRAZY fucking bumps.... really epic feud with Kane in 2003.... Epic match with Kurt Angle.... The dude is truly a hardcore legend.

And I wish he'd come back....
