Okay, so as everyone now knows, the Main Event Mafia is set to return to Impact on February 3rd, but all is not right, given that Kevin Nash and Booker T (two of the original MEM members) just signed with WWE. How can all of this be corrected? Read on.
Dixie Carter will be back, along with the MEM, which will include Kurt Angle, Scott Steiner, Sting, Matt Morgan and Crimson. Dixie takes back total control over TNA and lets a few of the Immortal members go, right off the bat. She can "fire" Hogan, Bischoff and Flair, get them off TV for good and let them sit out the remainder of their contracts.
Dixie tells Matt and Jeff Hardy that if they want to still have a job in TNA, they will have to stay together as a tag-team. Jeff has no one to fall back on and Matt was hired by Immortal. Jeff doesn't get his rematch with Anderson. As "punishment", Beer Money must face their Immortal partners, the Hardy's, for the Tag-Team Championship Titles. The Hardy's take the belts. They then feud with Morgan and Crimson.
RVD faces Anderson for the TNA World Title, finally giving RVD his chance to regain the Title he never lost. Anderson remains Champion, turning heel once again. This feud continues and will involve Sting at some point, asking Anderson to tone down his "character" traits. You can also play off the fact that Sting and RVD also have a "hated" past together.
Abyss can stay dead, along with the TV Title, thanks to Crimson. This keeps him out of the storyline going forward and keeps a useless Championship belt, that has changed more times than anyone cares about, from being defended on TV.
Steiner, for now, can feud with Rob Terry. Though less of these two the better.
Jeff Jarrett will still work the feud he has going with Angle. Because Karen is part of this storyline, she can be put up as collateral for a "free of fired" match. Angle wins, Karen is gone. If Jarrett wins, she stays.
Kazarian will defend the X Division title against, logically, Amazing Red. Kazarian keeps the belt and then faces, a returning from injury, AJ Styles. Again, as "punishment" it's friend vs. friend. Styles wins and turns babyface.
I can go on from here with more, but if this storyline has any chance of surviving, given the circumstances within the past 48 hours, this is how it should be played out. Every person involved has a purpose and every person has a storyline.
