Okay, everyone may have already said about this, but the move now is just basically him bending the knees back, yes kids are not a clever has adults, but even they can tell it will never hurt! It is now the most pointless move since Magikarp's splash!!

He can't do it anymore because it put too much strain on his back. The same reason he stopped using the Lion Tamer.

No, you are incorrect, but very close to the correct answer!

The correct answer to the most useless move is also a Jericho move, the Lionsault.

I swear to God I must have seen 20 or 30 missed Lionsaults in the past half a year.

Say what you want about crap finishers, Edge's Spear, R-Truth's Lie Detector, Morrison's Starship Pain, 80 percent of anything MVP has used as a finisher, but at least the moves connect!

Yeah yeah yeah, Jericho's a heel and he shouldn't be doing the flashy moves. But he's also The Best In The World At What He Does(tm). Its just too bad that what he does is consistently get booked to miss a signature move, and a pretty damn spiffy one at that.

He used the Lion Tamer against Danielson, if I recall.

Most finisher dont look like they hurt most of the time but if you start getting wins off them kids will start to believe they can kill.

Jericho can perform the move at most times timed to perfection like during a spear by edge but its just lost its credibility as when he performs it no one taps out and they break free

Yeah, but Danielson is a real man, and not just a glorified body builder or model like half the wrasslers seem to be.
He broke it out on Cena last year, but it's a move seen once a year.

It's not even a finisher anymore because barely anybody taps out when Jericho uses it.
It's true. No one ever taps out to the Walls of Jericho anymore. It has more so become a finisher, that really is more of a signature move now, not necessarily the submission hold itself. But it honestly has everything to do with the way WWE heels are presented now and Jericho's position in the company. In this day and age, it is really hard for WWE to give a heel a submission move, because the thought of fan favorite baby faces tapping out to a shit talking, little asshole character like Jericho would not put across the message modern day WWE is trying to show.

Jericho is one of, if not the most valued worker within WWE for many reasons. He is able (and willing) to put anyone over and make anyone look good, he gives stellar promos, he can put on a great match with anyone and dispite jobbing to anyone under the sun, never loses a bit of legitimacy. The name Chris Jericho is one that has credibility no matter where it appears on the card, and instantly makes the match he involved in meaningful.

It really is a shame that Jericho is not able to make more people tap out with the Walls of Jericho. The way his character has evolved, and especially with his current "best in the world" thing he has got going on, the Code Breaker is a much more fitting finisher for him. Much like the RKO was for Randy Orton when he was a heel, it is a fast move that comes out of no where and allows for "cheap bad guy victories".

I am still waiting for the day that Jericho makes another main eventer tap to the Walls of Jericho, especially if it is in a big match situation, because I firmly believe that the crowd will go nuts for him if he does - unless it is to Cena (which would NEVER happen). It is interesting how the Lionsault has also become more of a signature maneuver for Jericho, and one that he ends up missing most of the time. The Lionsault always a kind of in-between move for Jericho, where he could get close 2 counts from it, but also would get victories from it. (Remember when Jericho "won" the WWF Title on Raw from Triple H after nailing the Lionsault...one of the biggest pops ever)

You just dont see guys tap out these days. Especially when heels use a submission move, thats one of the reasons i miss kurt.

He used the Liontamer on JTG at some point in the recent past. And Eric Escobar. And others I've forgotten. He pretty much only uses it to submit someone, if they escape it's usually the plain ol' weak boston crab.

I think he does it like this since he obviously isn't beating the person with the move. Usually when he does the Lion Tamer the person taps to it. As for the Lionsault, I can't remember the last time he ever hit it.

He doesnt use the liontamer because its too good lol
if he uses it then its got to be a finisher which wwe clearly dont want the walls to be anymore.
Now he uses a boston crab that people can pull themselves to the ropes with. Not as good but it makes it a mark out moment when he does let loose with the liontamer in post match beatdowns or on smaller guys to make them tap.

a feud with jericho and danielson would be good, spesh if they put emphasis on submissions and the liontamer came back for the feud :p clearly not enough submissions (moves and match finishes) in the E these days.

That's absolute rubbish. He applies it mostly to the younger guys, whereas guys like Michaels he can't apply the Liontamer anymore because of his back injuries. Although you'll see him apply it to the younger guys like Bourne, Danielson, Kendrick and so on.

It's this stupid facination that Vince has; that it's almost some sort of unwritten rule that a big face can never tap out and if they do then it's a very rare occassion. Whereas guys like Cena apply the STF and superstars tap in seconds. It's just terrible to see, especially when you see actual submission specialists not get to utilize their attributes to the fullest.

Guys like Punk and Jericho both would look alot stronger if they got to really utilize their submissions and make them look stronger but instead we get guys like Cena using the terrible STF and instantly gets the person to tap. It makes no sense.
