What the heel happened to Ziggler??

2649 Views 31 Replies 27 Participants Last post by  Taker-Tribute-Act
8 months ago he was WHC and on the verge of superstardom. Now hes losing number one contenders matches for the IC, which isnt that prestigious to begin with seeing how recent champions always lose in non-title matches. Remind me again who he pissed off?

This shit pisses me off, WWE is a scripted TV show and punishing talents for backstage infringements by burying their wrestling characters is just nonsense. Imagine for example if Aaron Paul did something that the producers of Breaking Bad didn't like, they wouldn't react by humiliating the Jesse Pinkman character or lowering the character's status on the show. If Ziggler has broken the rules then fine him or something, don't punish his on-screen character. That's just childish and backwards, it deprives the fans of entertainment and it deprives the company of potential earnings.

Guy believe the hype his internet fans love to praise and become a mark of himself, unfortunately for him hes not in the level of overness of the likes of Punk to behave like a prick and not get buried.

Basically because the guy can't consistently get a crowd reaction. CM Punk talks a whole bunch of shit about WWE and is the #2 guy in the company. Why? Because in every city people actually care about CM Punk. Ziggler is a legitimate athlete and not that bad on the mic. The problem is that he's in that Del Rio/Sheamus grey zone in which he is a former champion but useless outside of a title/super personal feud.

The solution? Either he toils in mid-card purgatory or is put in a stable, completely changing the "show off" persona that has run its course. And for the record, I'm tired of hearing "I'm too damn good."

in what world and what reality do you live in where Ziggler was on the "verge of super stardom"?!?!?

he barely gets any reaction, he sucks on the mic and he has a terrible overdone character.

all that do not add up to Super Stardom

In a heartbeat. Megan Fox got fired off of Transformers because she pissed Michael Bay off. Mischa Barton's character was killed off the OC because she wanted to leave pissing off the writers.

Ziggler was selling a huge amount of merchandise, people were buying PPV's just to see him in his epic feuds, and the ratings were hitting record highs, and then his alarm clock went off. Ziggler is really becoming a mark for himself at this point.

Well, not really an apt comparison. One is an Emmy winning star of one of the most critically acclaimed television shows ever, one is just eye candy with questionable acting chops. Obviously she is expendable.

Neither are really good examples. Megan Fox was replaced in the role, and if Mischa Barton wanted to leave then they had no choice but to write off her character.

If they'd retained Megan Fox for Transformers but made her character perform ridiculous, humiliating stunts throughout the movie as punishment, that would be analogous to what's happening with Ziggler, and others that WWE takes this approach with.
