What is up with all these guys left and right getting injured this year: Tyson Kidd, Goldust, Erick Rowan, Jey Uso, and not to mention October and November ALONE, we already have Rusev(twice in 2015), Nikki Bella, Randy Orton and Seth Rollins.

Like i said before its the schedule these people are forced to endure. Sure the show is scripted like a balet but these wrestlers take actual bumps multiple times per week without enough time for their bodies to properly heal themselves.

They say that NFL running backs endure what is virtually equal to something like 20 to 30 minor car crashes each time they play a game. These wrestlers aren't too far behind. They can make it to where getting suplexed won't actually kill you but there is only so much cushion they can provide for that fall, its still going to hurt and its still doing the body damage. NFL players only play once per week and they are still banged up and get injured all the time. WWE wrestlers get a handful of days off per week and inbetween shows they are out running around doing public stuff or whatever. They simply do not have enough time to heal properly.

Steroids were able to keep many injuries at bay but due to the relatively new steroid policy these people are forced to get banged to shit day in and day out and heal naturally. There are no doctors, massage therapists, stretching routines, or hot/cold tubs that can force the human body to heal as quickly as WWE needs.

So long story short, they simply break down, even those in the best shape will eventually break down, the human body simply cannot repair itself that quickly without steroids.

Indie style wrestling on a WWE schedule.

Nah.... let's not act like Kurt Angle or Batista didn't get hurt all the time a decade ago too.
Yeah, but it seems as more time passes on, more and more wrestlers are getting severe injuries way too frequently. And some say that wrestling is become more and more safer of a sport, I call that bullcrap.

Indie style wrestling on a WWE schedule..
Vince doesn't care that half his roster from the 80's and 90's are dead from alcohol and painkiller deaths due to spine injuries of the neck and back from taking too many bumps. If they would cut back 50% of the house shows with the all time weakest roster they have now they could start recruiting ex-football players again and get rid of this indy spot fest bullshit. Then maybe Raw would get better and ratings wouldn't be at an All time low.

There is always an element of risk involved in doing high spots. I think when some say wrestling becoming safer, they mean they aren't doing death-defying stunts like they did in the 90's.

They work the house shows because they pay the bills. It's like telling workers to cut back on hours and earn less. Not something I think the non-main event level wrestlers want to hear.

They’re overworked.

They have Raw, Smackdown, PPVs, and two separate house show tours, plus the numerous media appearances. That’s not even counting NXT and their house show tours.

The need to cut down on the house show tours, at least for the main roster (preferably scrap one of them altogether), and alternate talents so they don’t get injured or burnt out so much.

Plus, I think the WWE style contributes as well, because it’s too safe, even though it is designed to protect the wrestlers.

Another reason I like the Luncha Underground style!

Their schedules are more packed now than before. We also have to remember that most of these people aren't that young. The cool saying of "40 is the new 30" and all that doesn't really fly.

Most of these guys are 30+ years old. That doesn't seem old but in sports that is old. The majority of NFL players don't get past 30 before they retire unless they are QB's. Yeah people will name off a string of 30+ year old NFL players but will fail to realize that they know these names because these people have been around, they are rare. The majority of people come and go in the NFL in their 20s. The average career length of an NFL player is between 3 and 6 years.

It's simply because the human body breaks down faster with age. Take drinking for example. In my early 20s I could drink like a fish and sleep for a couple hours then get right up in the morning and go to work. I would be hungover but perfectly functional and after a greasy breakfast and coffee I was good to go. I was a young party kid I did it pretty much every night.

Fastforward a decade and nowadays if I drink like that I feel like death incarnate for the entire next day no matter what I do. I can eat before bed, chug 2 gatorades, pass out, and wake up feeling like Im going to die. Hell there have been times when I would drink on a Friday night and STILL feel like shit come Monday morning. A decade ago I could pound an entire bottle of whiskey and get up and do my very physical job no problem. Now if I drink half a bottle Im out of commission for the weekend or at least the entire next day.

Same with me and my powerlifting thing. Been doing it for decades and it started catching up to me as I got older. When i was a teen and early 20s I was great, knees were good, back was good, I was strong, healthy, and could compete in competitions. As I got older things started to break down on me from the strain of it after so many years.

First was my wrists, had to start taping them up, then my knees, had to buy knee sleeves, then my back, then my right rotator cuff. It wasn't improper form or anything, I used to compete and teach others how to lift, I knew what I was doing. It's just that powerlifting takes a massive toll on your central nervous system and after decades of doing it my CNS just starting fighting back. I had to come to the realization that I wasn't 20 years old anymore, my body simply couldn't handle the constant punishment like that. Much to my dismay I had to cut back on the powerlifting thing, I still do it but not as hard as I did before. And now when I lift I look like fucking Ryback with all that bullshit I have to wear to make sure I am even able get back up from the squat position with 300+lbs on my shoulders.

TL;DR. These guys are overworked and are "old" considering the job they do. They aren't 20 year old kids anymore. Their bodies can't handle that constant barrage of punishment dished out to them day in and day out. The only way to help injuries is to start using steroids to speed up their healing process. The human body simply wasn't designed to heal this fast and it is literally impossible for it to do so naturally.

It's just karma biting Vince's ass for not making any new stars in last 5 years (besides injured Bryan and Punk).
