WWE announced an additional PLE to get out of their Peacock deal early and go to ESPN.

Stephanie McMahon then went on a podcast and told the fans to not watch WWE "the boring way" and enjoy "uninterrupted action" by using a VPN whilst WWE were promoting the shit out of their new ESPN deal and encouraging people to pay $30 month for it.

In response, WWE announced Stephanie as the first inductee to the 2026 Hall of Fame. They did this at the first PLE on ESPN, WrestlePalooza.

A few days later, ESPN allowed a writer on their own website to publish a review calling WrestlePalooza "underwhelming" and giving it a C grade.

Bloodline OG doesn’t count as that was already in the works when he took over and we see how he has turned that into a complete joke. I can’t think one one. With no compelling stories there is no reason to watch week to week.

Outside of this, Cena is a babyface now, Sami Zayn is US champion and his open challenges are fun, and AJ Lee came back and they did a really great feud with Her, Punk, Becky, and Seth. Stephanie Vaquer is Raw women's champion. Also Iyo/Kairi/Asuka/Rhea are in a weird anime influenced storyline you'll either love or hate.

Also Brock is back and everybody creamed their pants for some reason.

That’s the wild card. The WrestleMania deal in 2027 will apparently see a slew of legacy wrestlers appear, probably including The Rock. There will need to be angles to reincorporate Austin, Michaels, Undertaker, and Rock. That might start late in 2026, but more likely it’s a early 2027 move.
