What Have I Missed in the Last 6 Months? Is WWE Still Worth Watching Under Triple H?

So after watching that horrid WrestleMania 41 and WWE getting painfully boring, I kinda fell out of touch with wrestling in general. Life got busy, and honestly, the product just wasn’t giving me a reason to tune in anymore and stopped watching.

Over the past few months, I’ve only caught random bits and pieces — like Cena vs Punk/Orton match , AJ Lee’s surprise return, and Brock popping back up , mostly through YouTube clips. You’ve probably noticed I haven’t been posting much here lately either.

So now I’m wondering , what have I actually missed in the last 6 months? Has anything really changed under Triple H’s creative direction, or is it still the same repetitive mess?

that "pipe bomb" promo felt sooo fake.
the whole point of the pipe bomb is that it felt real (thats why everybody loved the miz promo on talking smack), when punk did it 10 years ago, you didnt have a guy lying there for 10 minutes. the fans knew cm punk was angry, and he said things everybody knew but nobody said.

triple h cant realize its not a good idea to put some random rapper in the main event of wrestlemania, do you really expect him to book a pipe bomb ?

You haven't missed anything in terms of the product, but you have missed some comedy gold behind the scenes.

WWE announced an additional PLE to get out of their Peacock deal early and go to ESPN.

Stephanie McMahon then went on a podcast and told the fans to not watch WWE "the boring way" and enjoy "uninterrupted action" by using a VPN whilst WWE were promoting the shit out of their new ESPN deal and encouraging people to pay $30 month for it.

In response, WWE announced Stephanie as the first inductee to the 2026 Hall of Fame. They did this at the first PLE on ESPN, WrestlePalooza.

A few days later, ESPN allowed a writer on their own website to publish a review calling WrestlePalooza "underwhelming" and giving it a C grade.

In the last 6? Honestly? Not too much.

Any real story they had they pretty much killed it off, pressed reset and now we're back to where we were just prior to you stopping watching.

Heyman had an interaction with Brock, I guess. And Punk and his wife now wrestle together.

Nothing much all you need to do is watch from the Rumble to Mania everything else is pointless is filler. I do this every year.

If you have watched bits and pieces then then you probably are aware of most of the more interesting things.

Dirty Dom is now a double champ basically between the AAA Mega Champion (which is still wild to me and I don't think that gets acknowledged enough) and the IC Champion. Stephanie V. is now the Womens World Champion on RAW but I assume that you already knew those things.

There are bits here and there of things that are interesting and worth watching. Nothing has really changed as far as the creative direction and strategy though. It's just a matter of taste and what you individually find interesting.

All down to your personal preferences.

I know when I took my break from the IWC and wrestling discourse as a whole for a couple of months my enjoyment skyrocketed for the product. Funny how you enjoy something more when you're just watching the show and not engaging with people online about how good or bad something is.

If you want to get back into things, I'd recommend staying off places like Twitter, Reddit, Tik Tok or anything like that, don't engage with the IWC. Wrestling in general is more enjoyable when you have no idea what's happening backstage.

You didn't miss much but hey HHH is going to milk this shit as long as the formula still work. Long teases on storylines fans are desperate to see develop while rushing feuds with the main event guys just to have big names on the PLEs. You can understand WWE for not wanting to rock the boat when it is making everyone bank.

I dont think it ever was. And with them saying they'll be jacking ticket prices up even more, it's pretty hard to support this company anymore.

They're actually making Vince look good.

Triple H has a booking style that is very..meh

Everyone on the roster one year ago is less over today than they were then. And two years ago..forget about it.

Give it another 6 months of Triple H booking and there'll be a roster full of 'why-should-I-care' and 'I-don't-give-a-shits'.
That's Hunters brand.

John Cena heel booking being a 180 in behavior and on screen acknowledgment. Seth Rollins being the top putz (been that way for like 10 years along with Roman). Bloodline offshoot #3 is still going strong.

Vince McMahon: “Sometimes I miss my company and wonder if I did the right thing to save it from my family being unable to grow it despite I gave them decades to prove this.

Then I read this post and said yep it was the right decision lol. Steph with her inability to read a room and business moves, while her husband trying to run creative like it’s NXT which I shelved him for to begin with. At least my friend Ari knew enough not to give my daughter her former position in the company. Maybe I should have made Shane shadow me as creative head heir apparent ”

It’s WWE Unreal!! It’s not just a show name lol.

CM Punk told everyone years ago with the pipebomb lol. The irony of it all reading this thread.

You've missed HHH being exposed as a fraud, and there's really nothing worth watching atm. Someone said HHH doesn't do long term booking he does long term stalling, and the way the product looks right now backs that up.
