vince is stepping back in both business & on screen. vince is getting old and we really have to get used to the fact that he probably will never be an on screen character other than perhaps one or two shows a year.

He is at the point in his life where he doesn't need to keep coming back. Plus, if Vince played a part in the Authority storyline, it would've detracted from Triple H as THE Boss in the WWE.

I actually don't see the purpose in HHH, Stephanie being on air anymore. These two should focus on the product from a backstage perspective like Vince is doing. In a few years it will likely go back to how it was in the old days when there was a figurehead character "President" of the company like Tunney.

Stephanie and Paul should shift their focus on creative as it desperately needs to improve. If the rumors were true that there was supposed to be some sort of battle of control for WWE between team Mr. McMahon and team HHH & Stephanie then I think Vince obviously cancelled those plans because the outcome was dangerously inevitable.

Dangerously inevitable because had the outcome likely have been Stephanie & HHH becoming President and CEO then it would have only left one on-air roster spot open, not an actual roster spot open to new wrestlers. Had Vince McMahon won then it would have left 2 on-air talent spots open and no roster spots open. It was not beneficial to Mr. McMahon winning. That rumored storyline would have effectively ended up at a dead end for creative. Creative needs to improve without Stephanie and HHH being on air as they are taking too much time out of storylines and matches. The only outcome from team Mr. McMahon winning would be a short-term face turn for Mr. McMahon and his newly appointed on-air general managers and/or Director of Operations before slowly turning heel, again.

Was rumoured in October last year that he would be around for a "power struggle" angle with HHH. I think Punk leaving definitely changed it but plans had changed well before that IMO aswell.

Irl it's probably a combination of his health and need to have a proper succession plan that's resulted in him staying off camera and out of storylines. Plus he's not really needed anymore now that Steph and HHH are kayfabe bosses that have established legit heat with the audience.

It was dirtsheet speculation that has not come to fruition as usual. It is hilarious how they have a guess at what WWE will do and pass it off as a fact. They'll harp on about how they were right if they are, never mention it if they aren't. Or use the old favourite "plans change" lol. Yeah right, cut the crap, we all know they're taking an educated guess.

The only McMahon I want to see come back is Shane but that's not happening anytime soon. As far as Vince goes, there's no need for him to be on the show since their establishing HHH/Steph as the BOSS/Owner of the company. Vince coming back would just ruin and take away from their character.

I actually miss Johnny Ace more than anything. I don't know why, I just always thought the guy was extremely entertaining.
