Alright this will be my last thread for at least a week. I just want to know what do you think about JAPW. I heard Fat Frank say he plans to bring it back to Rahway. Do you want them to do an internet tv show like they use to? Also what venues should they run in? Also what talent do you want in?

Lol. You again.

I liked JAPW a few years back, with the Homicide/Teddy Hart feuds, Azrael/Jay Lethal and Monsta Mack's reign as champion but I think the time has come for Fat Frank to call it quits. At this point, they will either book shows filled with wrestling students or book shows with the same exact matches you can see all over the indies. JAPW was also good for bringing guys from Cali and Canada in but I just don't think it would work anymore. And Frank knows that, which is why he rarely runs shows, eventhough JAPW has taking the summer off for quite a few years.

So no, I wouldn't want to see JAPW anymore. Would be hard for them to top the shit they did in the first part of the century.

I think he needs to bring it back he said he will. It would be cool to see more Canadian talent and West Coast talent in JAPW. JSCW is his developmental fed and JAPW is his main fed. JAPW should return it could work if done right.

It would be cool if this was 2005.

It's 2012 and at this point, Frank would just give the same matches you see in all the other big indy's. But, Frank's shows started to get pretty bad before they went on hiatus. And what does JSW has to do with this conversation? That whole developmental idea doesn't help JAPW at all. Weird how they are a developmental but use long time JAPW talents like the DRS, Bandido Jr and Jay Lethal and build the show around them.

Frank coming back to run 6-8 shows a year isn't a must see anymore. He can never reach the levels he reached 5-8 years ago, especially by giving the same type of show that other indies currently run.

Yeah you do have a point with that one.

JAPW was one of the top indies in the late 90s-early 00s, they produced a good deal of stuff and promoted guys that you wouldn't see anywhere else. They used to draw some hella large crowds in Jersey but those days are long gone. I don't even listen to Frank anymore, dude talks so much shit knowing damn well he won't commit to it and the brand has suffered because of it, he just isn't passionate about wrestling anymore. He should've gave the company over the Homicide like he wanted.

Yeah I agree Frank should sell JAPW to Homicide. Homicide would do better with it than Frank in my opinion.

Then it was no update Frank needs to sell the company to Homicide. Frank doesn't care about JAPW anymore.

I went to one of their live shows and there are few shows that I can say I've had more fun at. The matches weren't all that great but I sat second row in packed Rahway Rec Center an just saw all sorts of crazy shit. The show that I loved so much got bad reviews when the DVD came out so that makes me conclude that if you're in the area or willing to drive it can be a lot of fun but it's not really a DVD product.

JAPW pretty much ended like IWA-MS without all off the Ian Rotten drama; good indy that went down in quality in a short period of time and soon became more of a joke then anything else. The 14th Anniversary show was so sad and painful to watch, hopefully this time if Fat Frank isn't going to commit to it he lets it die.
