I still think the guy has some talent. He's a decent enough worker and ok talker (see his first months in '08). He's having some projecting his personality and making a strong impression on audiences but I think he can if he's in the right situation (his Raw matches with Orton in '09). But 2010 he fell off so hard.

It's like WWE had the right ideas for him - Million Dollar Title, beautiful girl on his side that every man wants but can't afford, and buying people out while also making others look beneath him. The problem seems to have been the execution was poor from both DiBiase and creative. Ted having a bodyguard too is a brilliant idea. Use that guy that was with Tyson Kidd and make him a deciding factor in DiBiase's matches.

Ted didn't do cool things with his money that would make me envious of him. WWE should repackage him and give him "The Fortune Son's Life" or something like that similar to Cody Rhodes' videos on Smackdown. They should also change his hair a bit and give him a richy-rich vibe to him (combed straight back with a part in the side).

They also shouldn't have had him turn on his dad, if anything they should have used the Million Dollar Man's superb heel mic skills to get Ted Jr. even more over. Speaking of Jr., they should also put Jr. back in his name because that is an easy target for the fans to attack him with. They could mockingly call him "Junior" every night.

The guy may need scripted promos but it should be 100 percent, word-for-word written out so let him play up his arrogance and being just a rich asshole. Have him buy all the Cena shits at the concession stands at one arena and show little kids crying because they couldn't buy their hero's new t-shirt (staged obviously) or something like that. Hell, have him buy a wrestler who’s struggling financially to perform for him in important matches (i.e. JBL & HBK).

Finally, just put him in meaningful feuds. Maybe he needs to go to Smackdown and feud with Kofi and Rey for a while. All I know is he needs to get his "Fortune Son" character over and he and creative have to step it up so he won't feel like a wasted space. They have to go all the way and make these ideas work well.

This thread gets done every couple of months. He needs to be given a clean slate. I think the first order of business should be to get him off RAW. He's getting lost in the shuffle big time. On SmackDown he'll get treated better, just like Cody has.

a move to smackdown for starters, these little backstage scenes with Maryse Santino its just making him look like a joke. Have him come out, talk about how rich and better he is than everbody and give him somebody to actually feud with. WWE could of went with Bryan the everday American that struggled for everthing he got.

Exactly, he needs to elicit a response. After several years with the company I'm still not even sure if I like Dibiase. It's always been about something else, million dollar belt, bodyguard, legacy, maryse etc.
I know I want to see more Cody Rhodes.

The Legacy nonsense put him on the map. There was a point in the feud where DiBiase was mega over with the crowd to turn face and kick Orton's ass but creative waited too long before pulling the trigger and as a result were forced into turning Orton face.

Nothing will save Ted DiBiase Jr. career, he will still be stuck in the hole that WWE had personally put him in themselves when they missed their huge opportunity with him on RAW 10/19/09 when he fought Randy Orton like someone just mentioned. Sadly Ted just don’t have the charisma to be cared about from majority of the fans, he is not the Heel that people will want to cheer for to succeed or be cared about like a Christian, MVP and Carlito when they were Heels. He may look like a star in some form, but he just lacks charisma tremendously and that’s why guys like The Miz who has a terrible look is leagues ahead of him and far superior.

WWE screwed themselves with no follow up or anything from this night.

The best thing Ted ever did was the night his dad was guest hosting and he slapped the taste out of his mouth. They could have done so much with that, but Ted Sr. was only a one night deal & Ted has been floundering with little to no direction ever since.

Now he's just ripping off his dad (never a good sign) and losing to Daniel Bryan every week it seems. Oh wait, there was that one week he lost to Jerry Lawler. That's right.

Rhodes didn't exactly get the biggest response either tbh. Until this week with his Mysterio programme, he's getting big heat now that he's feuding wiht one of the WWE's top faces which isn't surprising to anyone. Put Dibiase in that position and he may do a similar thing, we don't know until it's been tried and tested.
