Ok, let's welcome our newcomer who's about to debut. A promising talent who left Japan right at the peak of her popularity to try and carve a path for herself in a different scene: America. A hard striker who was supposed to arrive to wwe in 2020, but covid delayed those plans, which turned out to be a blessing in disguise, allowing to get some extra momentum with her popular tag team with Yoshiko in SEAdLINNNG. Will she succeed?

Why would she be asked to tone down the yelling when they already have their own PC produced wrestlers screaming like banshees during matches? One would think they'd have done something to put an end to that by now if they were so bothered by the whole screaming in matches thing.

In Japan there is a lot of women who are as good than her if not better.

In the last yearly poll from the Wrestling Weekly Pro magazine Japan (thousands of votes we are talking here), she ranked 3rd most popular joshi and 15th most popular wrestler overall, only behind Giulia and Mayu and ahead of people like Tsukasa, Suzu, Maya, Utami, Tam Nakano etc (Io, Asuka and Kairi didn't make it to the top 50) despite not being an ace and not being part of any of the top promotions (Stardom and Ice Ribbon). So I'd dare say Japanese fans thought there were few better than her.

Also, stop talking about japan as if they were smarky land. They care about more stuff other than workrate, or else Giulia wouldn't be as popular as she is.

What Sareee needs is to adapt to the US scene, because American fans are more flashy leaning tastes wise and Sarray has a plain presentation on top of practicing a style that's not popular at all in America (Asuka too, but she had the over the top mannerisms and outlandish attire and hairdo to make up for it).

Bet they took her age relative to status into consideration before sigining her. They probably think that due to her being so young, they'll have enough time to mold her into a more American friendly worker.

There are other women who are more US compatible, but they are either out of bounds and already locked in other promotions or simply not interested.

Sareee has an already decently big pre-existing fanbase over there in japan (these signings are mainly done to get that audience's atention), already seasoned and polished all the while still being young enough to teach her a bunch of wwe-esque tricks. They probably only see the pluses. Not as if they had to throw a ton of money her way to get her, you know. This wasn't like poaching an ace or something.

But does anyone really remember Io's debut on NXT television? I daresay many people have forgotten at this point. Io had to climb uphill to get to where she was because her debut was in the shadow of Kairi at the time who was the red hot babyface on NXT, and by that point Joshi in the US was no longer a novelty for audiences.

Io also got signed and debuted around the time Becky got mega popular and also got so much unrealistic hype behind her that the expectations were...well, unrealistic. I recall her having trouble adjusting her aerial signature moves to the different ring size and rope tension, so she botched mroe than usual, which prompted people to say "see? she's a fraud, she does nothing but botch. This wouldn't happen if she were as good as Toyota (which is silly, cause she also botched a ton of moonsaults)".

Also, no shame in having less introductory buzz than Kairi. People forget that she was the most popular of the lot by far back then in the mid 10s. Let's not rewrite history and rpetend she was this midcard gal who was always in the shadow of the other top stardom names, cause she wasn't (at least not popularity wise). NO ONE was as popular in joshi as Kairi from mid 15 to 18.
