Unfortunately, the software is based upon Xenforo but highly customized and we are unable to use any out-of-the-box settings or plugins.

We have no intention of adding chat back to the community.

However, reactions and tagging will be coming very soon.

Hello Jeff.

Looking back at the 2019 when you guys pushed this change up that most of us did not want. I got some questions where i hope you answer.

1) Did you gain more users or lose users due to this change.

2) why dont you have any intention bringing back chatbox which seemed to be one of the better things that users really enjoyed? I've seen you guys be like "We're here for you, anything you guys want we'll try to implement" but then there are time periods like weeks or months when you guys dont react to anything and that kinda speaks volumes on how low we're in the priority list. Did you atleast explore the possibility of getting the chatbox? Or was it just "oh they'll get over it" kind of deal?

Hello, sir.

So, I have an idea about making WF the test forum for new features/add-ons, on the XenForo software.

My idea is based on the presumption that VerticalScope migrated their entire portfolio of forums over to the XenForo platform for streamlined management.

I know there are certain individuals (@DammitChrist, I'm looking at you) who are kicking and screaming about the most minor issues. However, in general, it's clear that this particular community wants more robust and customized features, such as GIF avatars, personalized emoticons etc. I'm not sure the specific limitations to overcome for each request (technical, cost, time), but would VerticalScope consider the WF community as beta testers for each new feature?

For example, provided it's not too cost prohibitive, this live chat plug-in looks like it would be a good fit for the forum. Or perhaps VS wants to program their own chat plug-in, which they can then license to other XenForo-based forums. In either case you would need beta testers before universal implementation.

Thanks.
Man, I love how it took me 9 days to discover that you roasted me here 😂

I like it though. That was a good one (y)

So did we ever get a fix to our signatures? CJ hasn't been here in 5 months and I want a fresh, UNBROKEN signature. I just want to be able to center my new signature without it wrecking the whole thing.

Any considerations of adding Ringside News to the banned sources list? Been seeing reports from them popping up recently around the forums and the site has been posting incorrect speculations and passing it off as news, a lot of these stories not only are ending up debunked but are so wrong that talents involved are calling them out on it. Should the forum take steps to ban this fake news site?

Just a random issue.

The Legit DMD was one of first people I followed here on the forum. I noticed yesterday he had disappeared from my list, which of course I didn't unfollow. I noticed this has happened with a few other members in the past few months.

Can we get a thumbs down put on the "like bar"

We need more reactions since we can't have rep back.
You're talking to a broken computer at this point.

The admins do not give a fuck unfortunately. Since the "upgrade", this forum has gone to absolute shit.

Everyone has left. I barely come on here anymore, only got a notification to read here because I posted in it when it started.

Join Sherdog, man. You like your MMA. That is a high traffic forum, one of the most active forums right now, believe it or not.

I know I'm screaming at clouds these days...

And I would join Sherdog but that place is an openly racist cesspool. Like blatantly fucking racist.

It really isn't. You'll get a yellow card for flaming or saying anything outrageous. I've been there since 2005 and any racist shit gets swept up quickly by the mods.

If you guys tag or private message @Administrator, they do actually respond, just no one tags them in this thread. If you don’t, there’s a good chance they won’t come looking here.

EDIT: please look below for Headliner’s comments on things regarding the rules.

Hello wrestlingforum-team.
@Administrator

Holocaust-denial and holocaust-trivialisation should be an immeadatly ban, even on Rants.
It is against the laws of my country anyway, where it means prison, so getting a few days off on a wrestling-forum is not excessive. You put up a lot of rules in Rants regarding the protection of minorities and not "abusing" them to attack other users. Overall, holocaust-denial (or holocaust-trivialisation) would break all new rants-rules at once! I hope it is not necessary, that I have to explain that in detail. So I think an extra punishment or at least adding it to the listing there should be possible.

Best regards!

Hello.

he was banned end of story.
I don't see the connection to my posting above and I don't know, why this is a reason to withdraw the suggestion. So you don't want the new rule, because one "he" was banned about something? By that logic you don't need any rules, especially not extra ones for each section (e.g., AEW, rants).

So I had liked a more detailed answer on the topic, why the staff of wrestlingforum doesn't like a rule, which forbids holocaust-denial and holocaust-trivialisation on WF. If one "he" was banned about that anyway, like you suggested above, then there should be no problem adding such a rule. Obvisouly, this was already a thing on WF and there are enough places on WF, where that could become a thing. (That was the reasoning these rules were added btw.) For example at the moment I see a thread on WF, where people are talking about "Hitler", so there is a good chance that holocaust topic will come up sooner or later, maybe more than once and in a bad way. People In History Who Are Worse Than Hitler

Please @Administrator add the suggested rule , thank you.

Best regards!

I’m giving a clear example that someone was banned for the offence so there is no need for a specific rule.

The current rules provide an outline which cover the issue in general. To list every possible offensive comment or insult someone could make would lead to an infinitely long list that would be counterproductive in the long run.

I get your point, that you cannot list up every random offence, but I think that doesn't apply here. See rules below. It is not another version of advertising and advertising is already a point etc.. We don't see holocaust-denial as a random (quote) "offensive comment", do we? Your example with a random unspecified user-case also doesn't help here and I already told you why. I even was told by a mod, that this banned user had a history of doing other things, so I don't know if that user had been banned exclusivly for that.
I am not convinced by your justification to refuse that possible rule against holocaust-denial. Maybe you could explain me, why (quote) "The current rules provide an outline which cover the issue in general" affect that issue. I read them once more.

Rules
-No insulting members (that includes wishing death)
-No trolling
-No baiting
-No homophobic or transphobic remarks
-No racism
-No posting of explicit porn
-No advertising other wrestling forums
-If we feel that you may not be technically breaking any rules, but have become a problematic poster, staff has the right to moderate your posts and conduct. That could be in the form of a warning or ban.
The rules are subject to staff interpretation.
I have to speculate here. Maybe you mean the last point, but in that case it would be in every case up to the invididual single staff member again and that could be decided this or that way. Not every staff member is a historian, I guess.

Maybe we have a misunderstanding here. If you would add the point "-No Holocaust-denial or holocaust-trivialisation", then I would already see that request as solved. Therefore I politely ask you one last time to add this rule: Could you add this rule to the Rules, please?

Best regards!

For some reason @Administrator I can no more jump in bookmarked rant-threads without being logged it. Later I saw, that the Rants section is invisible without being logged in. I guess that happened by mistake, so please change it back as it was before.

P.S.: Already mentioned that problem on Rants, but nobody commented. :(
