WCW's former headquarters now an office furniture store

We always thought that WCW's headquarters were at the CNN Center in Atlanta, but in reality, they were at 2865 Log Cabin Drive in nearby Smyrna. The only times we saw them were 1) when DX visited Atlanta (which was featured in the D-Generation X video) and 2) when Eric Bischoff tried to get into the building, only to find out that the card reader had been deactivated.

The building went up for sale shortly after WWE acquired WCW, and it's now home to NFL Officeworks (no relation to the National Football League), an office furniture retailer. If you've always wondered the current whereabouts of WCW's old HQ, now you know.

And on a footnote: Atlanta you know is the entertainment and pop culture capital of the South, and since I'm new to the area, I would so love it if Stacy Keibler films a movie or TV show here (guest role on Vampire Diaries or The Walking Dead, anyone?). Heck, she could reunite with Atlanta resident/fellow ex-Diva Lita and maybe could do a little house hunting.

They were originally located at the CNN Center (most likely just the senior executives), but were kicked out. I forgot what year. Maybe 98? I know Eric mention something in his book about moving to Florida?

WWE has a very nice building in Stamford. I thought it was a little too big for WWE, but Vince is the owner, so I'm not surprised. Most wrestling companies (including WCW) were based in ugly buildings, but WWE was the exception.

I'm surprised they never sold it or leased it out to other companies when they were doing very bad in the early to mid 90s to raise cash. Which makes me question if they were really going under... maybe a little exaggeration. I'm sure they had a lot of cash in the bank from the 80s to fall back on.

That 'very nice building' houses almost 1,000 employees, three gyms, over a million hours of footage in both digital and physical formats, every belt, ring, set and piece of bullshit equipment that the WWE, WCW and ECW ever owned, a state-of-the-art training centre and over a dozen fully-functional HD-capable, satellite-ready television studios. It also has an immense wardrobe department that would be the envy of many Hollywood studios, a helipad and much more. Still think it's too big?
