Now I've watched WWE through its boom period in the hogan era and in the attitude era until now but has there ever been a WWE/WWF crowd that was hot for every match and segment from the low card guys to the main eventers?

Best in a long time. WWE booked a fantastic show for a crowd with the most passionate wrestling fans in the world.

Take away Rock not winning the night before and that crowd wouldn't of been half as hot as it was. They all were coming off the massive buzz of the night before. You only have to look at how they reacted to him.

I watched the attitude era and the crowds were amazing on a daily basis but guys like steve blackman or blue meanie never had the crowd behind them.

Blue Meanie was over. I really suggest you're watch some full AE episodes scattered around YT atm.

Guys like The Outlaws, Godfather, Al Snow, even the freaking Oddities had louder reactions than what Cena and Punk tend to get week in and week out nowadays.

Firstly, it was a solidly booked show, add in the factors of:

- The fact it was a post-Wrestlemania crowd who was pretty excited to be there in the first place
- The Rock unexpectedly beating Cena and then cutting a promo promising he would be champion had the crowd going too.
- Bryan losing to Sheamus so quickly at WM had the crowd showing support for the rest of the night and bled into the next night too. They would have been really anticipating his appearance.
- The rumours of Lesnar coming back were strong and people were buzzing for that. There were a few chants for him throughout the night. When his music hit, it was amazing.

So yeah, a few factors there that had the crowd very excited throughout the whole show. As others said, probably not the best ever, but they were certainly fantastic.

It's not even close to the best.

You can take most nights from 98-99 and they are 10x that.

I know some are sick of hearing about the AE but it is just the way it is.

I'm also sure that there are a lot of younger people on here that either didn't watch back then or were too young to appreciate it that are so tired of hearing about the AE and want THEIR period to be recognized as some of the best.

Raw after WrestleMania 14 was hotter.'plenty raw crowd during 1998,99 and 2000 were hotter. Godfather, al snow even lita got bigger reactions then some wrestlers nowadays. Al snow with a mannequin head got a reaction and majority of crowd yelling head during his entrance far bigger and better then Daniel Bryans yes chant.
