When he 1st debuted I enjoyed him, comedy gimmick and all. I still enjoy his entrance somewhat. Maybe it's just me but I think his move set sucks. It's boring as hell. He doesn't do anything but hit people and run into them (with his head included), then he belly flops on them to end the match. So my question is, when he was on superstars or wherever he was wrestling before he started on Raw, we're his moves any different? He used to be some big badass right? I'm hoping his gimmick changes soon and we see something else from him in the ring.

He was solid on NXT, and his promos were usually spot on. His gimmick right now is horrible, and I think it's just to touch base with a larger group of people. People are going to remember how awful this idea was, but most will always remember Brodus Clay. Once he turns "heel", and develops a real character I could see this "Funkasaurus" theme slowly dissolving away. Brodus Clay had a real gimmick in NXT, and I think he will eventually turn back to that. This is no different than when Mark Henry played "Sexual Chocolate", and he is one of the more well known names in the business today. Give him some time to work with a character that we all love to hate because it's a part of the business right now. Hats off to him for suffering the humiliation.

This gimmick isn't for everybody but for the record, it's fine. Do I like it? Not really but WWE needed a character like this. The problem is that while pushing this gimmick, they turned Truth/Ryder into comedy characters and now we have far too many. I'm not even gonna bring up Santino..

Brodus Clay is a good worker and becoming the best big man
lol I agree he's a good work.. Maybe not under his current gimmick but he is a good worker... But becoming the best big man lol are you drunk? :lol

I honestly can't stop laughing at that line.

I don't think he's a good worker, honestly, he probably could drop a few pounds. There's times on RAW, he's looked lost out there in recent weeks. I remember the outrage when he was pulled from TV because Vince thought he wasn't up to par, but he may have been right. I also think his pop is fading. The gimmick isn't as over as it used to be.

Clay's somebody who only got hired in the first place when Tommy Dreamer found him bouncing at a bar and they struck up a conversation about old school ECW. Dreamer, seeing his mass and interest offered him a job on the spot. So you can't expect too much from him just yet because he's not been working that long. Give him a couple of years to be more of a rounded wrestler and he'll be generic just like everybody else.

He looks outstanding now even compared to those older matches that have been posted, his weight loss has been staggering and it shows.

Unfortunately he is only going to become more unbearable for the majority of the IWC as he is now being pushed into a Barney the Dinosaur-style draw for the young kids that watch the show. Pretty smart on the WWE's part, introduce him as a joke character, have him be escorted by two good looking dancers to get him over with the casual men so they don't groan every time he comes out.

He's marketable, got a good story about chasing his dreams and the work he had to put in to achieve it, good worker and dedicated company man.

I would be fine with Brodus if he didnt win every match clean. I would rather have Miz get DQ and lose then to get pinned clean from 3 moves. Brodus has potential, but they just cant make him squash everybody that runs in his path. They need to let him show off more of his skill set and maybe put him into a feud with the miz or another big name and let them have atleast a 10 minute match at over the limit or something to show off their skills. this would help brodus so much more. And no more horswoggle or anybody. he will be better of by himself with the funkettes

Brodus works better as a heel.

I'm fairly sure the majority of his career (even outside of WWE as G-Rilla) has been as a heel. He is out of his comfort zone

Meh his gimmick with dancers and hornswoggle is entertaining. As long as Swoggle is busy with anything but burying another division we are safe and sound. I believe he does get a bit better at dancing each week.

This was probably better than to build him as another boring monster heel character when he came back. It would been boring and not memorable at all. At least this gimmick brings out the entertainment aspect well.

He bores me, and he probably sucked before he was on Raw. What is he doing that is so different, his matches have always been like this. The dance gimmick just makes it worse. I will never get how so many big guys get so overrated.
