If your source is Vince Russo, then I don't know what to tell you.
Vince Russo explained that The Game and Stephanie might have waited a long time to get control of WWE, only to see Vince McMahon come back and reiterate their worst fears that he will never truly let them take over the company."I'm being totally honest here. I feel horrible for them [Stephanie and Triple H]. I really do. But on the other side of the coin, you guys had to know Vince better than anybody knew him. And the way you played this hand was the worst way you could have possibly played this hand when you're voting for the guy not to come back to his own company. What do you think the payoff is going to be, bro?" [29:50 - 30:20]
I don’t know. You can only get so many Ivory backscratchers with 300 mil.I’m sure the 300m each of them got for the Endeavor deal could be used to wipe away some of those tears.
Right lolI mean you can shoot the messenger but Vince cock blocking their plans and directions with his idiotic retirement charade to only return is clown world levels of fate.
I completely believe it was a failed palace coup, the pieces are all there. Vince gutted NXT and fired Regal during Haitch’s health issues; Steph and Haitch both voted as board members to not let Vince return, then undid his various maneuvers; Steph resigned hours before the board vote to reinstate him. I absolutely believe they played a shitty hand and got Vince’d.I think it's easy to imagine the on-screen characters of Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley and Triple H trying to do a hostile takeover of the WWE and forcefully remove Vince McMahon from power but I'm sure that's not exactly what happened
Yes they wanted them to. Old threads would always talk about removing Vince and letting those two take over.Did wrestling fans really want HHH and Stephanie having complete control over the wrestling industry?...
Exactly they had all this time that they were capable and in Vince's eyes they fell short.Vince essentially gave them 20 years to prove that they were capable of taking over his multi-billion dollar business. They never did. HHH has no education or background that proves he would be able to fill such a large role and Stephanie Mcmahon has a bachelors degree in communication. Not saying degrees and school are everything, but they don't just hand over billion dollars businesses to people with absolutely zero qualifications besides "growing up in the business"
Vince has a degree in business and I'm sure his own dad could tell at a very young age that he had very sharp business mind. And he still had to buy the promotion from his father, he didn't just give it to him
I doubt it. They've already got plenty of money. More than they know what to do with. They want control. Triple H does not want to work under Vince, he wants to be his own boss and not have to worry about Vince meddling with his own plans, and Stephanie definitely was not happy to leave the company twice in a year, both times were Vince related.I’m sure the 300m each of them got for the Endeavor deal could be used to wipe away some of those tears.
Come on now. Vince filed for bankruptcy in the 70s, they were supposedly about a million in debt, and he got his fathers company because it was sold to him on the cheap and he was allowed to pay the cheap price in monthly installments.Vince essentially gave them 20 years to prove that they were capable of taking over his multi-billion dollar business. They never did. HHH has no education or background that proves he would be able to fill such a large role and Stephanie Mcmahon has a bachelors degree in communication.
