It’s sort of interesting in its randomness, but it’s hilarious how many people are actually saying they’re going to have a great match. Undertaker hasn’t had a great match in seven years, and even that was only possible because CM Punk nearly killed himself to make it happen. Let’s be realistic, people.
He had two of the best matches of the year against Lesnar in 2015.

100 % this.

His last great match was with Punk and that's because Punk put everything he had into it. He deserved the ME. His matches with Lesnar were ok under the stipulation but that's the only reason why.

Brought up Taker's name tonight and he was talking about being the greatest ever superstar.

Definitely looks like a match against Taker, it sucks though as he'll be doing the job. He had little chance of beating Taker as is, but at WM and as an obnoxious heel? He's doomed. The streak is over and it doesn't matter if it's 25-4 or 5 or 6. Taker shouldn't be beating anyone of any big name value as it hurts their stock if they can't beat a broken down and washed Taker who has already lost twice at WM.

Usually, you have the old legend put the younger legend over so he can give that rub to someone else but WWE doesn't book like that and Taker will win this match and AJ will fall even lower down meaning a win over him will mean little. There's nothing in Taker at this point, his streak is gone and losing to him means you're not important in the companies eyes.

To those of who saying that Taker has never had a great match since Punk, can you tell me who Taker has been set up to have a great match with? Was he really going to knock it out of the park with Bray Wyatt?

The point of AJ Styles would be to get a great match out of Taker. Not a back-and-Fortnite fisticuffs type deal.

Style is already established at this point and will take a part-time schedule soon. Losing to the Undertaker will not hurt him.
