I've been posting several threads in regards to TNA and its overall content here lately, especially in the wake of the main event fiasco at Victory Road last Sunday. I've gotten a lot of responses, which I appreciate, but something struck me as I was looking through various replies, something that I think could be major, IF done properly (and that's a HUGE IF people). That being, TNA deciding to turn Dixie Carter heel---like Mr. McMahon heel.

Here's the deal: Almost nobody who is a fan of TNA likes Dixie Carter. This is real life heat she has in most fans eyes, not backstage "storyline" heat that a group of writers decided to spring upon us since there's a lack of credible heels in the company (see: Michael Cole). No, Dixie Carter has, over time, developed a hatred so big that she HAS to turn heel in order to save her company from going under. I believe most fans have very little, if any, faith in Carter, in fact, I believe that if a poll were taken, a high number of people asked would say she needs to either step down or be fired from the company altogether. THAT'S where he strength lies.

Dixie Carter needs to exploit the heat she has and come out on a LIVE edition of Impact (do they actually have live editions) and turn heel. I mean, she needs to shoot as if she were shooting for the stars. Dixie should come out, stand in the ring for about 60 seconds and not say anything. Let the jeers come, don't egg them on. Just stand there and look at the crowd. Let the audience wonder what in the world is going on, then slowly put the mic to her mouth and start going at them. HARD.

Tell the fans that she's read all the dirt sheets. She's read all the online garbage, all the cries for her to leave TNA. That she's an incompetent owner who hides behind men like Hogan, Bischoff, Russo, whomever. Tell the fans that for months, damn near years, all she's seen & heard is nothing but negativity about HER company and HER wrestlers. She needs to cut the heel of heel promos.

She needs to go into the fans by telling them to shut up. By demanding that they show her respect and if not, they can all get off their sorry asses and walk the hell home, because she will get into her limo and have someone drive her home. Tell the fans she's not Vince McMahon. She's better than Vince, but if it weren't for these ignorant, disloyal fans who keep wishing death upon her & her company, she'd have put Vince out of business by now. Call Vince lazy. Past his prime. Compare his brand to that of a porn involving 80 year old people. Tell the fans that Vince wished he had the talent she has.

Finally, Dixie needs to compare TNA to WCW. "This isn't Atlanta. This is TNA. I'm no hillbilly hick trying to make a buck off a few named people, Ted Turner. I could give a damn about WCW. I could give a damn about WWE, Vince McMahon, the fans or what everybody has to say about me. I am Dixie F'n Carter! This is MY arena. This is MY company. I do what I want, when I want and how I want. Wanna know why? Because I can. Because nobody has the balls to stop me. I fired Jeff Hardy & I'll fire anybody else in the back who feels as if MY company is second rate. I run the show and if you don't like it, you can go to hell!" Have the boos rain down from the heavens. Then have Dixie throw the mic down and walk the hell off to more boos however, establishing herself as the top heel. Invlove her in storylines JUST like Mr. McMahon did during the inital Attitude run. Get Dixie over and she can get anybody over. You want to save TNA? Turn this woman heel soon. It NEEDS to happen or else her company may soon fold. here the person who wrote this

You are missing the point. Dixie Carter should not be a heel or a face. She should not be a TV character. Neither should Bischoff, Hogan, 'The Network', TNA management or any other authority figure. No more on air authority figures in wrestling from here-on-out. Its corny and played out and takes TV time away from guys who could use it.

I wish they would fire SOMEONE, and tell the writers, "make tna like it was before or your fired!" something like that, then gradually fire hogan, bischoff, flair UNLESS... they keep those guys, but give them 0 control of the show, and only act as managers. not for stables, but single wrestlers. They dont have to bring back six sided rings.

That would make tna better.

I wouldn't say do away with them completely but thet certainly shouldn't be a constant presence. Somethimes you need someone on screen for contract signings or to make big decisions but that's only needed a handful of times a year. WWF used to have it about right with the role of WWF President held by Jack Tunney and Gorilla Monsoon (he was on air most weeks but only as a commentator). ROH get it about right with Jim Cornette.

Work.

Put Dixie/TNA over.

Be interesting.

Make TNA have it's own style.

The above is a very short list of things this idea will not do.

Why try to get heat off the fans who dont watch anyway?

I agree with TB Dixie Carter should just use this Hogan in power thing to get off TV all together. THey should use the 'network storyline to get Eric Bischoff off tv he can do just as much good work just being backstage helping out. Then with Hogan id keep him on TV as the voice of the network. Come out every now and again just to say the network wants to see and then just throw us a random network 20 minute impact match every week. That could get over some under used talent not involved in storylines. Maybe even use the TV title for it. TV camion Gunner this week the networks been scanning through explosion (cheap exposure for the internet show) and it wants to see you defend your title against.... (in a perfect world give the belt to Joe or even Daniels) then thats the only storyline these two need to be involved in no talking or crappy promos from either just coming out to give an impact match to get the IWC watching this part of the show.

Now you've got a secondary audience for 20 minutes. Use this 15/20 minutes to build up something else in the show to try and keep them longer than this 15/20 minutes.

Realistically losing 15/20 minutes of the show time to 1 match isnt going to do much harm to the casuals. The ratings will dip slighty as they wont be interested in it but they'll come back towards the end to see the next part anyway. But having just one part to please the purist IWC fans will open alot of doors.

Dixie doesn't have the personality or the skills to be a good heel, she can't even be a sympathic face. And the last thing TNA needs is more worked shoots.
You would have to do a gimmick similar to Vicke/Dolph or a better case is the McMahon/Helmsley era. She starts fucking a young wrestler and HE uses her to get what he wants. This way her boy toy does the majority of the talking and she just stands there QUIET and looking like a sexy cougar.

Dixie Carter will never have the productive heat of Vickie Guerrero.

I agree. That's why the gimmick will be her being QUIET and letting the heel do the work. She'd get enough heat just from leaving Serge and siding with the heels. She shouldn't fuck it up by doing more than that.

Vickie is naturally annoying, and her voice doesn't help matters.

doesnt anyone have any ideas that werent used in the attitude era?

I know theres only a limited amount of ideas, but the evil chairman was such a pivitol storyline in the attitude era that TNA would be instantly be labelled as copying the WWE

TNA need to come up with fresh new ideas

Dixie Carter is useless even just standing still like a statue.

I think Dixie Carter should turn heel. It would be unexpected and would drive everyone crazy. I think for it to be successful, Eric Bischoff and Dixie Carter would need to turn on Hogan (maybe at Lockdown). Have Immortal destroy Hogan, taking him off the air for a while. Then have Dixie perform a huge interview explaining her actions and how Hulk Hogan will never return to TNA. This could lead to Hogan returning to TNA around August, and lead up to an encounter of some form between Hogan/Dixie and Bischoff at Bound For Glory.
