Pretty shocking to hear but honestly it makes total sense. It explains why Vince has no idea what to do with call-ups and also explains why the main roster has zero promotional material for NXT. I don't get it. Why does Vince still look at it like purely developmental and not even try to attract audiences to it? Oh well, this explains a lot though. No wonder he doesn't see anything in people like Sasha and the Revival.

Incorrect.

"I don’t know that he’s ever even watched a full episode of NXT start to finish. He’s busy.”"

He doesn't know.

And this is typical Triple H anyway - trying to shift focus from his bad rep and all the shit going on now, bad ratings(3rd lowest in 20 years!!!!) etc with another dx run paraody, just to shift focus on someone else.

Honestly, I'd be more surprised if Vince had watched everything they put out. They've got...a lot going on.
Same. It's outrageous to expect Vince to be in tune with every minute detail of each show. He has assistants...like HHH who tell him about people doing a good job and what their strengths and/or weaknesses are.

He watches snippets of NXT and provides unlimited genius insight based off of mere seconds? Just imagine if Vince could be bothered to watch an entire episode. The sports entertainment world would dominate mainstream culture and then some. At least enough to get an Emmy nomination.

It's amazing the lengths HHH goes to, to cover for Vince.

"It's good that he doesn't want the whole show! His insight off watching a few seconds is so valuable"

"He provides an outsider point of view!"

HHH should be running for POTUS with his kind of spin skill

He really is quite the genius. I mean splitting up American Alpha and making Jason Jordan Kurt Angle's Son. Replacing paul Ellering for AOP. Keeping Dillinger off tv until his 10 chant dies down. Constable Corbin. Jobbing nakamura to Jinder Mahal. End Asuka's streak and have her dance with Naomi. Taking all of Sasha's momentum and putting her in Team BAD just because she is black and never turning her heel ever again. "this is your life" segment with Bayley. Jobbing out the Revival to a bunch of old DX and NWO members. Splitting up Enzo and Cass. Calling up Sanity without Nikki Cross (the only member that was actually over).

I could go on forever about how much of a genius Vince is and how he can take talent from NXT and just make them 10x better. The guy is just incredible.

It’d be nice if he did so he can learn the strengths and weaknesses of the talent he chooses to call up. He obviously doesn’t listen to whatever advice he gets from the people he pays to advise him.

And I don’t wanna hear shit about being too busy. You’ve got a huge staff. If he can’t cut it, delegate some of those duties to other people so he does have the time. Considering he’s the head of creative, knowing how to use the talent to their full potential should be apart of the fucking job description. That’s why it’s not good to have your claws on every little a detail partaining to the company. You stretch yourself to thin and that’s especially bad when you’ve long past the normal age of retirement.

vince probably reached an age a while ago that hes started getting stuck in his ways. Hes stopped looking ahead and just looks back on his past which gets reflected in the product by him using stars from his golden era.

He likes what he likes and isnt much interested in trying new things, his drive for that is gone. He cant build new stars anymore because he just doesnt care to. His pushing of roman reigns involved no element of thought, it was just a case of forcing him on the fans. There was no cunning plan and no reaction to things as it happened or even leaving the question open that he might not get over, it was just a case of steaming on ahead no matter how the fans responded.

Vince was a genius once but he simply isnt anymore, watching the interview with bob costas in 2002 is a wake up call to how much this guy has changed. He believed in his product, knew exactly where it was going, knew his fanbase and didnt care if people didnt like it. He just seems to be oblivious these days. His demeanor in the stone cold interview in comparison just came across as lost. That fire in his ideas just isnt there. he either doesnt know where the business is going or doesnt care.

That's good and bad. Its good because if he watched it more he would try to ruin what is an awesome brand. It's bad because like others have said he doesn't know wtf to do with them when they're called up and completely ruins them.
