It’s crazy how when the threat of something being taken away..like a pet, or a person, or our health, or a LOT of other really important things..reminds us what’s truly important in a split second. No better time to be reminded of this. The Holidays are sad for many. I’ve had a few lonely brutally low ones over the years. I still struggle with a sea-saw of emotions every year. So grateful for a lot of ppl and things, yet also sad for the people who aren’t here, and missing the days when my family could all get together to laugh & have fun and be in the same room. Even if they’ve seen the BUMPY road you took in getting there. My favorite agreement in the book, The 4 Agreements, is to never take things personal and it’s been my test this year in this regard. It’s important to reassess each year who exactly wants to see you thrive or who rather enjoys the “dive”.
