1. Miss Elizabeth- Natural beauty that seemed to only get better with age along with a well played delicate face character that truly worked well with Savage and made his character stronger. No woman has ever been better at playing the damsel in distress. I also loved her work in WCW when she started getting involved in matches

2.Woman/Nancy Benoit- I think she was gorgeous and she played an excellent heel character as Woman. My first memory of her was as Robin Green when she came to ringside with the Steiners and turned on them by tripping Scott and costing them the match with the Freebirds. She then brought a team called Doom in and managed them for a while to take out her vendetta with the Steiners. She had better chemistry with Flair than anyone though and just came off as an evil manipulative bitch.

3. Sensational Sherri- The best woman heel ever to be involved in wrestling. There has never been a better woman heel moment than when she attacked Savage at WM7. She made Savage better and also helped advance Shawn in his heel role after he turned on Jannetty

4. Alexandra York/Marlena/Terri Runnels- I loved her Alexandra character. She came in and claimed to have a computer that could generate better wrestling results. I thought she was hot in her executive businesswoman look. She played Marlena well too

5- Sunny- Well we are talking Sunny before she looked like she does now.

Elizabeth, Sensational Sherri straight away (both for the exact same reasons you mentioned here!!), I'm trying to think of some others but most coming to mind are after AE time ... I'll have a think on this :)

Not many more come to mind and the ones who do certainly don't deserve to be top 5 over the ones already mentioned. Debra Marshall, Kimberly Page, Sable (I believe she started right before the AE), Jacqueline, Missy Hyatt...

She was fugly, but she complimented Dusty perfectly and added to his character a lot. The Mixed gender tag match with Savage and Sherri was entertaining and Jesse cracked me up during the commentary. I was hoping for more from her when she sided with Ted, but she was just a natural face and didn't thrive in the heel role.

Yeah thats what I was thinking about, like she was great with Dusty and it was fine and all, but I don't really know much more than that what she did, other than the Dibiase thing, which she didn't really do that much in regards to her playing a big role, she just got taken away and wore a nice coat and ring I think it was lol

1. Sensational Sherri. Imo one of the best women in wrestling history, she could do it all, she could wrestle, she was a active dangerous manager at ringside, she could cut promo and was a true wrestling character villain and was also visually characteristic and eccentric which you rarely see in divas today.

2. Luna Vachon. Similar to Sherri in that Luna also was a well rounded performer, she also could wrestle, was active at ringside and could cut promo even if it did not always make sense lol but Luna was also visually eccentric and had the most unique and scary look that a female in wrestling probably could be. Notice the pattern here Sherri and Luna were both wrestling characters not some model pretending to be a wrestler.

3. Madusa/Alundra Blayze. One of the best pre diva era female wrestlers that could put on world class matches with great workers and joshi talent. Her big egg in Japan WWE Women's title match with Bull Nakano was amazing. Once again Madusa was all about the wrestling and the business which are the women that I truly respect.

4. Miss Elizabeth. Although not a wrestler and a quiet character Elizabeth played the elegant face real lady better than anyone. Her involvement in feuds with top stars like Hogan and Savage only helped to propel the feuds and the stars involved. Elizabeth did not have to be a Total Diva or cheap to get over.

5. Bull Nakano. One of the best female wrestlers of all time. Trained in joshi and both brutal and technical. Watching Bull Nakano and watching the Total Divas era is like comparing chalk and cheese. It is just a pity her time in the big US promotions was not longer.
